Hey!! Lovely model! Just printed it and built everything. One thing confuses me... I connected my water cooled esc and motor to the rear inlet on the jet and drilled a hole above-water on the side of the boat for the outlet. Thing is... water's going the other way round the system! When the outlet is below water it draws water from there and exits from the jet. What am I missing?!
@@Mr.RC-Creator Hey thanks. Not sure I understand what you mean. I can simplify the problem... if I just connect a tube to the rear inlet on the water jet... no water comes out. And if I put the other end of the tube in the water, water will flow from the end of the tube to the water jet. As if the jet has negative pressure which doesn't make sense. Other than that the boat seems to work great (I did check reversing the motor direction). I'll try and get a video to share...
@@Mr.RC-Creator I was about to make a video when I think I figured it out! The prop is way back, after the inlet. So the inlet is on the low pressure side and hence it pulls instead of pushing! I'll either need a new shaft or will move the intake outside the boat body to draw water from after the prop. Mystery solved!
Nice boat design. Poor build instructions pertaining to the drive shaft and cooling. I see parts list provided by creator and others which vary. As an example 10x4 bearing. Someone else says 9x4 bearing. After printing I measure bearing seat and get 8mm. The drive shaft tube for the 4mm shaft is 9mm in diameter. How does that fit a 8mm hole. My printer is the bambu X1C so it's very accurate. I understand the inlet water cooling off the prop housing and then the outlet further back on the prop housing. So why in the video was there an hole drilled in back along with 2 on the side haul? Confusing.
Thanks!! You can do this if you have the required parts. And printers have many different error values. and you can drain the water as needed. The other 2 holes in the back I made as a reserve.🙂
hey thank you for the video its great! how did you installed the Bearings and SHaft and what did you use to make it waterproof? I am new to boat stuff so i am not sure. My inital Idea was to use 2 x 2-RS Bearings with the shaft, but i am not sure if this is already enough?
Great video but you left out installing the prop shaft and everything else that goes along with it. One of the most important things to make the jet boat go and work properly. I figured it out but the way the prop is printed out looks backwards. Sorry for the negative comment but I'm sure others would also feel that you left the most important part out.

I tested my boat last night I’m my pool and it’s going to be a ripper other than it overheated a couple times because I don’t have any water cooling setup yet. It’s still needs to be sanded and made waterproof but it’s the small things that I still need to do.

I used a 150mm by 4mm shaft and I ended up having to cut it down about 5mm but you probably figured it out by now but if not you can buy them on Amazon.

Ok because I just finished printing the file that was up on thingiverse and there is no deed spots like what was done for the water cooling in and out of the jet tunnel. The shape is different, the holes in the screw inserts are larger on both the body and the steering nozzle. Just a number of things I noticed that were different that’s why I asked if you have edited the files. I used the link that was provided for the files…. I also am curious about your water cooling pump.

(For pipes) worn to prevent water pressure from flowing in.

Hey I used a PCB to support the mounting bracket to prevent the plastic from softening when it gets hot.🙂

Hi.Mahmoud Water inlet at the top of the tunnel I use grease to lubricate the shaft and prevent water from entering the bearings.😁

Thanks.! 😁Try running the cooling system lines to see if they are reversed? Normally they must go in the same direction.

I put some white grease on the shaft after the bottom of the hull.
And the length of the metal transmission tube?

Hi.Sebasian Thank you!! i use a 4 mm shaft, 4 mm shaft coupling and the motor shaft size is the same 4 mm.
I used a 150mm by 4mm shaft and I ended up having to cut it down about 5mm but you probably figured it out by now but if not you can buy them on Amazon.

Ok because I just finished printing the file that was up on thingiverse and there is no deed spots like what was done for the water cooling in and out of the jet tunnel. The shape is different, the holes in the screw inserts are larger on both the body and the steering nozzle. Just a number of things I noticed that were different that’s why I asked if you have edited the files.
