Cut off the z bend and solder on a standard clevis. Then move your battery around to trim out the porpoising.

Back in the days this TH-cam video would've been 30 seconds long - just showing the boat going over the ramps - but this dude needed to make a full on 12 minute long video about it

You should get the new proboat jetboat. It has a reverse function on it.
A small rubber wheel on a shock attached to the nozzle would let you steer while on the ramps and if you use a really narrow one it could also serve as a mini rudder to give you a little more control at slow speeds and without throttle.

I work on the on the waterways, and this last lot of flooding was relatively extreme, its caused some major issues, and I feel extremely sorry for those effected. That being said, I always enjoy it when people take of advantage of situations to have fun, especially when's there's water involved. This was great to watch!!!
That might be the most novel RC thing I've seen recently! Brilliant!
I was in SWCC in the US Navy. We had 3 different types of jet boats. The key to going in reverse was a bucket system that redirected the water. The water would still go through the jet system, but we would lower the bucket which would redirect the water forward, and that's how jet boats reverse.

I love RC cars trucks and boats, I’m 31 and still haven’t got tired of using RC stuff
that's a perfect example of "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade" I used to live in a house by a river and the road to it would flood for a week/5 days every spring...8' of water on the road. Not a big deal BUT they'd cut the power to the whole area so we ran on gennies. I wish I could post pics here.....my neighbour and I would use a canoe to get to the main road and go get petro/gas for our gennies.
