As she's turning the transmitter on I'm just thinking "shouldn't you have turned that on *before* you put the boat in the water?
Fabricating unreal videos is somewhat questionable.
The lady shaved arms after making the body of the boat.

Great video and build. Now I want to share a thought that I had for the people that can't afford this kind of amazing boat: when you view a boat from the shore, the size and speed is relative to the distance from the viewer. So in theory, you should be able to get equal pleasure from a smaller boat closer to you depending on other factors such as the sound, and water conditions etc.
Smaller boats require extremely calm conditions. The larger the boat the larger the waves it can handle.
@@mjodrnot necessarily ..its all physics: *balance and anchoring the weight in middle does it all* all it needs is a heavier center of gravity sooo 1 cannonball embedded in the middle of bottom with cork or spray insulation around it will do that *doesn't have to be huge*
@@americanlivesmatter-BmanWild Full scale offshore race boats use the same method with water ballast and pumps to tune it. But you aren't going to convince the top teams in the top classes to scale their 48-52 foot hulls down into the 30' range as long as they add a ton of ballast. There's a reason the fastest boats are longer. I live in a windy place. If it's over 15 mph wind I'm probably not going to take out a 16" hull if I had a 42"+ hull available no matter how much ballast I could add. The waves on our local waters get huge. What the OP said was valid, but unless it's a really calm day a small hull just to get a greater sense of speed at scale is just impractical.

this is insane! i love how people are constantly pushing the limits of 3D printing! Anyone know what type of filament was used? I'm assuming PLA+ or PETG since there was no enclosure for ABS printing.
You can print ABS/ASA without an enclosure and it's what I recommend for just about everything. Been running spools of Polymaker ASA through my Ender 3 without an enclosure for years now.

To stop the porpoising you could install trim tabs which is on most of this beautiful style of catamaran racing hull RC's and then you can open up the throttle and this beauty will sit really nice on the water. Nice work though Cheers Mate 👍👍👍😎💨🏴☠☮☮🌈💡🔧

i noticed you changed each part you printed from the original. For each part you closed them off and had infill to strengthen them. can you please make a link to the parts and the extra parts you made for the inside. thanks this is a great build and id love to see how i could do on my own.
Runs and looks great. I just wonder how well it can withstand a flip at full speed. A carbon fiber reinforced hull might survive, maybe crack here and there, but leave enough buoyancy to stay afloat, especially if some pool noodle was added inside, as precaution. This design might just simply disintegrate, so your rc components end up at the bottom of the lake.
It's not completely hollow. It's reinforced on the inside with structural webbing. It also has separate chambers for buoyancy. Each section is separate and sealed. I have built many RC planes, Boats, and RC cars with 3D printing. If done correctly it is very strong. It is also not very fast considering his choice of motors and cell voltage. 30mph at most.
Surprised he didn't fiberglass the hull, or fully bondo it. Is it still one piece?

A great RC Boat build from 3d printed Body Parts. The main thing is it looks like factory built and also runs great. This was the promise of 3D printing machines.

С появлением 3D-принтеров, жизнь судо- и прочих моделистов, стала значительно легче. Раньше делали болванки - формы для корпуса, и поверх них клеили корпуса из стекловолокна, пропитанного эпоксидной смолой. Делался такой корпус довольно долго. Что, впрочем, не отменяет того факта, что в гоночный катамаран на видео, вложено много труда.
Ну и наша "Нива" - приятная деталь. Эх, нашим производителям авто, руки бы в плечи вставить, да мозгов в голову побольше - глядишь, и смогли бы сделать из "Нивы" вполне современную и гораздо более популярную машину.
Да, я знаю, что сейчас идет война, и не до того. Но все войны рано или поздно заканчиваются.
