With airspawn it is very time efficient ground pounder with ton of .50cal ammo and ccip for guns. My median match lasts less than 8min (rarely burn min fuel) gets me 1st strike ,17 kills and thunderer and usually 1 base kill or surprise (bomb kill) if enemy decides to chase. It's good in role of deal as much damage before enemy gets you and jump into another match. So U.S. one I see as justified at 8.3. Any other (no airspawn I'd rate at max 7,7)

Back then i use this jet for event grinder by taking advantage it had airspawn and rush toward AI attacker, there's 6 attacker and if you managed to kill them all its easy 1800 point, combine with rank multipler will net you 2300+ point per match After that i rushed back to airfield, reload but not take off, i watch how my team go, if they doing pretty well i continue with base bomb and ground pound, if not i just leave the game, if i got penalty i'll just switch to another nation F-84F (french, german, italy all got F-84F lmao) There's also sweden SAAB-105 that perform even better with 2 9B for quicker kill Unfortunately this strategy no longer work with gaijin increase the amount of time AI attacker to spawn (patch note mention its there to prevent player radar missile mistakenly lock into AI, but that is just stupid since its applied through all br)
God that last match really does feel like all my warthunder matches in every plane - entire enemy team goes for me, evade a bunch of them but they just so hard focus me (and my entire team does fuckall) and i just get slaughtered

I think the A7K is so much worse at its BR. I got it out of one of those gambling packs and it's 11.3, gets I think only flares, has no afterburner, weak engines, slow turn, can't even get super sonic and you only get missiles at a time, which are what bring it to 11.3 which are the aim9j and aim9L. If it didn't then this plane would be like 9.7
One thing I don't get is.. if it's more aerodynamic and has a 20% more powerful engine than the F-84G, why does it accelerate worse than any jet out there ? It's got as much engine power as the quad-engined Arado 234C..
This plane used to be good as it was 8.0 and it got constant down tiers to like 7.0-7.7 so it absolutely slaughtered, then gaijin made the brilliant move of making every Sabre and every Mig-15/17 0.3br lower so now it only fights them

This plane isn't even good in ground RB 'cause it constantly has to deal with radar-guided AA. Not to mention the terrible pitch-rate making high-ish AoA bomb drops a serious game of chicken with the ground. Don't waste SL on the F-84F, at least not until they lower the BR.
They are more than usable, grinded from stock to spaded every french plane up to rank 6 and yes the very low tier gets stomped by the ufos that are th i15 or the i16 but you can pretty much fight any other plane of the br bracket
I bought the Israeli premium one, cause i read on forum and on reddit that it has airspawn... it was taken from it literally 2 months before i bought it... I quueued a battle, and found it it doesnt have air spawn, i immediately left... and support didnt refund me, cause i played with the plane :))) my worst 20€ spent in my life
Having flown f-84f in 1,6k (45%win rate) missions. Only way to get reliable kill is either head on with stealth ammo, or bomb kill when enemy chases you. After that enemy has to fly through your crosshair to be worth dumping ammo to deal enough damage for kill. Any and I mean ANY turn burns energy. My strat for turning is to move mouse where I plan to turn and tap s (down) key to keep speed above 800kph. (Update: it was. Gaijin has disabled guns ccip so it lost its only benefit) Imho That being said it's good ground pounder with guns ccip accurate up to 2,5km. With airspawn and proper planning you manage to kill most of stationary ground targets (thunderer is nearly guaranteed if flown properly) and get time for 6/5 base HP dmg (2x 2k lbs+2x1k lbs) before enemy catches you. So if it was any lower in br it would be too powerful as ground pounder. I'm hellish glad I managed to grind German one and used it to grind best german bomber: f4f before nerf (only us one gets airspawn now so all others should be at least 0,3 br lower)
The j32 has the same problems as this does with the added annoyance of fighting f8u almost every game but instead of having bad energy retention it has energy retention that is so much better than every other plane that they reverse you by just existing. Also you a slower than everything else.
The problem with the "It's not a fighter" argument is that Gaijin sees every plane as a fighter and hasn't remade the game mode to push planes into their respective roles. My changes would be to make it so only bombers can kill bases, strike aircraft should get higher base rewards for attacking ground targets while having their killstreaks changed to only go off those targets(with the first bonus being set to at least 10 kills) and then fighter planes should be basically the current system but with a base reward bonus from AI planes. Would also like to see a wave based respawn system for 6.0 planes and up so you could play a bit more tactically with bombers by bringing them out after the initial rush of fighters.
So glad it wasn't just me, when I was trying to grind the F-84F so many years ago I got so pissed off because at the time I didn't realize it was at 8.3 because of it's GRB capabilities not it's ARB capabilities. It's second to the current top tier stock grind in it's ability to stress me out
still, if you play the F-4C really carefully you can get kills and the flight performance is somewhat bearable, the plane will be nowhere near good but not as bad as the F-84
It's overtiered as hell, but the R2Y2 has at least some advantages against other planes that you can take advantage of. Plus very good guns, even if they have gotten nerfed a bit. It's not nearly as painful to play as the F-84F.
totally, flying the 7.7 meteor I found out that I actually get more kills in uptiers on average since the people there are just disabled and try to dogfight everything
Can you try ad-2 and be a low altitude goblin? Its absolutely hilarious that you pretty much can pull a reversal into everything with your 3000hp engine and insane turn radius and no one expects a fat ground attacker to eat their ass before they can cry for their mommy
i havnt played absolutely every plane in the game but ive played the vast majority and the only plane ive actually given up on spading was the mystere IVA

The road will be very short if u take the right turn over here -> it leads to the vautour 2b if we classify bombers (no guns) if not just a little bit further we have vautour 2a. I dont know which player with some knowlegde of the game is looking for the worst plane in the game outside of french tech tree smh. Imo these are the other contenders (except the b57 , f84) for the award (compared to vautour IIb they aint even trying) : Su25t / Buccaneer S.2 / J7W1 / SM92 Btw i dunno how gajijn takes 8.3 plane deletes the airspawn , missiles and give it a 2br bracket jump and says yeap thats good.
And don't forget: there are premium versions of this junk (maybe it was a good thing i picked the A-4E instead as my premium jet for Israel back than, tough i still think its a pile of trash). Kinda have similar bad experience with my "Shenyang F-5" as: what downtiers? the guns! can't catch anybody on my BR! 2/3 times i die is do to how badly the plane locks up above 850km/h and just crash! the guns! poor brakes no chute so i usually need the long runway. the guns! And why its still 9.3 when the Sabers went down?
Defyn, I would like to nominate the Pe-2-359 and the LeO 451 Early/Late as they have their own qualties of rubbishness. Also special mention to the Tu-2S-59 at 5.7 with 2 Shvaks. If the worst plane in the game is one where no matter how bad the enemy is, they will still win, than these planes will make sure they do. LeO 451 is a medium bomber at 3.0 that makes your brain convulse from the decisions of French aircraft designers to strap 1 singular 7.5mm machinegun with 300 rounds to the front and a fire rate of 1350 rpms granting 13 seconds of firing time and a hail of bullets that almost reaches 23 rifle calibre rounds a second. Add that you only fire 220 grams of lead a second and this plane has less total ammunition mass onboard than an F4F-3 can put out of its 4 50.calibre brownings in a single second or a Tu-2S at 5.7. Pe-2-359 is the dishonorable entrant at 4.3 with a single 12.7 and 7.62 mounted in the nose. While the per second burst mass may be a "respectable" improvement over the LeO with 1.1kg/s, the ammunition count is not. With your amazing accuracy and trigger discipline, it may not be a problem, but for me the 8 seconds of fire on the Berezin UB is certainly less than ideal. For some reason, the fire rate is closer to an M3 50.cal than an M2 while carrying a quarter of the rounds on a M4 Sherman. And when that is out, you'll realize that the aircraft is chucking the 450 rounds of 7.62 into the air faster than a MiG-29. Aircraft that don't quite make the cut include the Bristol Blenheim's right wing mounted 7.7 that Spiff managed to get an ace in, Hampden TB for having the same problem at a higher br, S.M.79 for having the same problem but with 3 engines at a higher br, Ju-88 for having the same problem at a higher br, B6N for having what I believe is the lowest single second burst in game, and the Firefly Mk V for making a single engine aircraft feel like a 4 engine bomber. But to be complete rounding off top tier includes horrible picks such as the Jaguar GR.1A (or GR.1 if you prefer to fly without flares and a weaker engines), Buccaneer S.2 which will allow you to subsonically sling a pair of AIM-9Bs at a BR of 9.3 as your only weapon, any of the strike Tornadoes because performance is overrated, Mirage 2000D, A-7E for another subsonic at 10.7 dub with 2 rear aspect 18g missiles, Strikemaster Mk.88 and finally the Su-25 SM3. Happy hunting!
For me worst as in not actually worst but I fucking hate it the most is the F7F for me. Not fast enough doesn’t climb well enough, lacks high alt performance, and lacks turning performance. Can still do good for sure but it’s just a very lack luster frustrating plane to me lol
Only took me two attempts to realize this plane was an absolute Pig... And then I realized that EVERYONE was after me ai immediately switched back to the F-86 and started hunting F-84s because the -84 just REFUSES to turn; makes for a very easy target.

This plane is the sole reason I have rank 7 swedish jets, if it wasn't for free food that is F-84Fs that tried to dogfight me, I wouldn't be able to grind past middle of rank 5. Only early Swedish jets that are good are J29A and SAAB 105G.
you should play the swift f7 again last time i saw you playing it you didnt exactly use the missiles correctly. these missiles are exellent for getting headon kills not much else. dont dogfight in it and always keep your speed above 1000

I recommend any night fighter variant of Do-217. It's basically a bomber without bombs and quite heavy forward-facing armament, and it flies like a brick

was a bit excited to get it as a ground pounder for ground rb , knew it wouldn't be amazing since it was an f84 (never played one they just suck anytime i see or dogfight one in air and ground rb) . played it and thought its just the pilot and than proceeded for play 4 games with 3 kills max mainly from head ons . this thing is just horrible at everything.
gaijin really messed up f111 and its gun, when the crosshair is in the middle the gun shoots like half way of bottom/middle of the screen and speed bleed is depresssing when the plane has no thrust at 700-800km/h range where it ends up after a gentle turn everytime. it would be semi ok if the gun wasnt all fkd up, i could fight some people in it wings front but never get my guns on target in a fight. i just straight up skipped f84 after test flying it in one match lol

I spaded this thing; I've played some seriously bad vehicles in War Thunder, but nothing trumps my stock to spaded grind of this piece of trash.

I dont know which player with some knowlegde of the game is looking for the worst plane in the game outside of french tech tree smh.
Imo these are the other contenders (except the b57 , f84) for the award (compared to vautour IIb they aint even trying) : Su25t / Buccaneer S.2 / J7W1 / SM92

Kinda have similar bad experience with my "Shenyang F-5" as: what downtiers? the guns! can't catch anybody on my BR! 2/3 times i die is do to how badly the plane locks up above 850km/h and just crash! the guns! poor brakes no chute so i usually need the long runway. the guns! And why its still 9.3 when the Sabers went down?
Defyn, I would like to nominate the Pe-2-359 and the LeO 451 Early/Late as they have their own qualties of rubbishness. Also special mention to the Tu-2S-59 at 5.7 with 2 Shvaks. If the worst plane in the game is one where no matter how bad the enemy is, they will still win, than these planes will make sure they do.
LeO 451 is a medium bomber at 3.0 that makes your brain convulse from the decisions of French aircraft designers to strap 1 singular 7.5mm machinegun with 300 rounds to the front and a fire rate of 1350 rpms granting 13 seconds of firing time and a hail of bullets that almost reaches 23 rifle calibre rounds a second. Add that you only fire 220 grams of lead a second and this plane has less total ammunition mass onboard than an F4F-3 can put out of its 4 50.calibre brownings in a single second or a Tu-2S at 5.7.
Pe-2-359 is the dishonorable entrant at 4.3 with a single 12.7 and 7.62 mounted in the nose. While the per second burst mass may be a "respectable" improvement over the LeO with 1.1kg/s, the ammunition count is not. With your amazing accuracy and trigger discipline, it may not be a problem, but for me the 8 seconds of fire on the Berezin UB is certainly less than ideal. For some reason, the fire rate is closer to an M3 50.cal than an M2 while carrying a quarter of the rounds on a M4 Sherman. And when that is out, you'll realize that the aircraft is chucking the 450 rounds of 7.62 into the air faster than a MiG-29.
Aircraft that don't quite make the cut include the Bristol Blenheim's right wing mounted 7.7 that Spiff managed to get an ace in, Hampden TB for having the same problem at a higher br, S.M.79 for having the same problem but with 3 engines at a higher br, Ju-88 for having the same problem at a higher br, B6N for having what I believe is the lowest single second burst in game, and the Firefly Mk V for making a single engine aircraft feel like a 4 engine bomber.
But to be complete rounding off top tier includes horrible picks such as the Jaguar GR.1A (or GR.1 if you prefer to fly without flares and a weaker engines), Buccaneer S.2 which will allow you to subsonically sling a pair of AIM-9Bs at a BR of 9.3 as your only weapon, any of the strike Tornadoes because performance is overrated, Mirage 2000D, A-7E for another subsonic at 10.7 dub with 2 rear aspect 18g missiles, Strikemaster Mk.88 and finally the Su-25 SM3.

For me worst as in not actually worst but I fucking hate it the most is the F7F for me. Not fast enough doesn’t climb well enough, lacks high alt performance, and lacks turning performance.
Can still do good for sure but it’s just a very lack luster frustrating plane to me lol
Only took me two attempts to realize this plane was an absolute Pig... And then I realized that EVERYONE was after me ai immediately switched back to the F-86 and started hunting F-84s because the -84 just REFUSES to turn; makes for a very easy target.
Am I the only one who kinda disagrees about this one? Like, of course the F-84F is pretty bad, but if you're aware of its strengths and play it cautiously, I'd say it's definitely usable. The F-111 comes up in the video, Imo that one is way worse to play as a fighter, or maybe something like the Me-262 in its current BR...

Still missing the ability to jettison the outer 2 pairs of pylons
Has incorect flares (come on, gaijin, they are 2 inch flares)
B-57 is just overtiered, same as every other canberra
This plane is the sole reason I have rank 7 swedish jets, if it wasn't for free food that is F-84Fs that tried to dogfight me, I wouldn't be able to grind past middle of rank 5. Only early Swedish jets that are good are J29A and SAAB 105G.

these missiles are exellent for getting headon kills not much else. dont dogfight in it and always keep your speed above 1000
I havnt been around this channel long, but uploading a video where you get a couple kills wouldn’t be the worst thing. I’m personally getting tired of other people showing 12-15 kill games when that CAN NOT BE their match to match games. Watching you defend yourself with low kill games if people want to watch they’ll pick things up on what to do in situations as so.

I recommend any night fighter variant of Do-217. It's basically a bomber without bombs and quite heavy forward-facing armament, and it flies like a brick

was a bit excited to get it as a ground pounder for ground rb , knew it wouldn't be amazing since it was an f84 (never played one they just suck anytime i see or dogfight one in air and ground rb) . played it and thought its just the pilot and than proceeded for play 4 games with 3 kills max mainly from head ons . this thing is just horrible at everything.
gaijin really messed up f111 and its gun, when the crosshair is in the middle the gun shoots like half way of bottom/middle of the screen and speed bleed is depresssing when the plane has no thrust at 700-800km/h range where it ends up after a gentle turn everytime. it would be semi ok if the gun wasnt all fkd up, i could fight some people in it wings front but never get my guns on target in a fight.

If you haven't already try the swift F1 it has the same problems, with in my opinion worse cannons, with less ammo and a worse turn and agility.
