The A2D-1 is one of those things that never bothers me normally, and when i do go bother it, it's because i have a massive advantage and just dunks on it immediately. Never have i ever fought it properly.
Because most a2d1 players mindlessly base rush, when instead, using your brain, you have a great climb rate and an air spawn, just energy trap and always stay climbing, love using this thing as a fighter

@@thatoneguy1741 the player that use that thing correctly dont play air rb with it, but ground rb. there its a menace for the enemy team, that can decide the whole match in the right hands (and some things going right)
Wyvern is the same boat. Insanely scary plane if flown right but 90% of the time its used for suicide base rushes.

I had a 1/24th scale of the A1 Skyraider (I called him the brute). It's the first time I heard of the A2. The A2, then is like Hybrids - not quite gas, not quite electric. Your strategy reminds me of how you flew the Harrier. Great lesson in offensive and defensive strategies, and sit awareness, which is a great strength you have Defyn. You make great tutorial vids. 14:01 this is true. The MiG-19 that fought me in my F4D Skyray learned that the hard way.
No matter what he tried I stayed inside his turning circle because the plane that looks like the UFO also performs like one. I never had the energy advantage at one point in that fight, but I just nullified his.
And that’s why I love that plane.
I wont lie ive been having issues with my pc for a hot minute and that lag around 9:10 really had me thinking it was crashing again. I'll take a lag spike on a video any day instead my pc crashing XD.

Started playing this thing alot more ever since I saw this video. It's actually fun to play! My only gripe is how sensitive the flaps are. This thing, if you play your cards right, can just barely hold it's own against a Spitfire.

A2D-1 one of my favorite planes, people see it as CAS or base bombing, but the cannons and engine power is crazy even at it's BR.
Out of the hundreds of A2Ds I killed only 2 players gave me a decent fight. It's nice to finally see the qualities of this plane after all this time.

I literally got this yesterday I always saw it as a free kill even when I was learning jets turns out people are just really bad at using it it’s got an incredible one shot ability okay turning and as much as you say reversing isint great I get almost all my kills by using air break and forcing them into my guns

I had a similar issue with the FPS lag and found out it was a program called display fusion i used for my multi monitor setup. once i removed it it fixed all my FPS issues
I believe it's best to think of the A2D not as a prop plane, but as a jet whose designer snorted fifty pounds of crack and proceded to take an obese Skyraider and attempt to turn it into a space ship from Star Wars. You can outturn the less agile jets, but your main use is being the fastest and loudest fat man alive while flying it by metaphorically body slamming people with your quad 20mms in boom-n-zoom attacks.
i've been saying this for ages, but the A2D-1, even though it faces jets, it's very capable as a fighter.

If only the Do335 would have such power , still has 4000hp and not accelerating at all for such a huge amount of hp . I think the A2D-1 pulls a little too hard for an about 8 ton heavy figher bomber , but hey it's WT . Were prototype jets outturn props like nothing , the Arado 234 C3 is also a beast as a jet fighter . 😅
This aircraft was made a decade after the Do335 so it makes sense.
the Do335 has more like 3400 hp and weighs 7200-7400 kg empty

let's not forget it's a game where they completely inored the existence of the Jumo 222 engine, +240 units produced and not a single one ingame.. what a shame.
@@sparkling925 The Do335 has 4000hp at WEP , but you can't outrun a Spitfire , P51 or whatever prop you face . It was the fastest prop at WW2 , but not in WT . I only say it should accelerate faster with such hp or more than twice the power of a P51 , at a level flight .
And a jet bomber with twice the power of a Me262 and almost as agile is a beast lmao , never played it I guess .

FPS lag happens to me all the time in war thunder, never in any other game though and I am usually getting over 120fps

also, I've considered getting this plane multiple times, but never did just cause I wouldn't be able to stand flying it, its just ugly, especially from the rear where I'd be looking at it basically the whole time

This video feels like shooting fish in the barrel, but the fish are superglued to the end of your gun and are so acustic and restarted they dont even notice that they are not in the water. And the barrel is in the corner, leaking water bc they are so rarted they didnt even notice that either.

I knew this video was coming because me and my friend played against you on Afghanistan and I suddenly realized you had the VTE tag so tryharded massively for a couple of minutes at the end of the match, not knowing exactly it was you until I watched the replay. It's not in the video but then it wouldn't have been super exciting footage
Though we both shot you down in Meteors I figured we probably would have been stomped if you hadn't been flying some turboprop brick
I think it's worth to mention that this is a turboprop which a jet engine turning a propeller so it's not really a prop. Turboprops have much better pull or let's say torque at low speeds and eat pure jets for breakfast there.

It's a bit over-br'd but it's capable. Just outclassed.
Also funny quirk, 100% throttle acts like a limited WEP for some reason. After a certain amount of time using 100% throttle the engine will start to instantly dark orange and then red over-heat anytime you go to it again. Basically after a while it just becomes the melt engine button. Its weird, cooling down the engine by dropping throttle doesnt fix it at all. Feels like it gets about 3-5 minutes of normal 100% throttle before it becomes the melt engine zone.
That isn't a funny quirk. It is how Gaijin models engine thermodynamics. Every engine will behave that way over time due to degradation of the effectiveness of the oil as a cooling fluid. Most engines you just don't run into it as much. Mk.I and II Spits are two other aircraft that have this as a prominent issue.
About your FPS drops i picked up a AMD 7800xt after years with Nvidia and i have nothing bad to say about nvidia except they are ripping people off prices are horrendous so My limited 500$ GPU budget i went from green team to red team with a sapphire pulse 7800xt that runs at around 2700mhz sometimes higher core gpu clocks. I only play war thunder so MY stutter in the game was happening because after every 10-30 seconds my core clocks will drop to zero% gpu usage for less then a full second but very disrupting. MY problem ended up being the AMD Adrenelin software when you put up the left OSD that gives you a wonderful list of what your GPU is doing but it was making the ball draining stutters Once I figured out how to disable the OSD stutters vanished. also people were terlling me a lot of monitoring software can do this but this is the only time it happened to me since 1995 when i started MY pc JOURNEY LOL Good Luck...I dont know what your running capture card and so on if you even use a capture card and a second rig. I play on a 144hertz 34"gigabyte IPS ultrawide @ 3440-1440 res, I am also running my original 8-10 year old 34" LGum95 is my secondary 34" ultrawide and i have it wall mounted above my new monitor for discord and monitoring my stuff. But with 3440-1440 res with the 7800xt with 32gb of 3200mem is being run by my R5 5600 X3D with the 96mb cpu cache and holy cow at max setting with no frame generation I get 180-700 fps depending on whats going on, that is also with forcing 8xEQ Anti-Aliasing. this card blows away my 3060ti bigtime that i am running in living room 120hrts 1080pTV that is 3d so it can do 120hrtz that is being pushed along by a R5 5600X no 3d, for a friendly budget I like both CPUs and GPUs 150$ for nonx 5600 and 220$ for the 6 core 12 thread 5600X3D, rec the regular 5600 for heavy workloads over my X3D version it runs at higher clocks but is missing the 96mb of gaming advantage. Make quite a big difference and allow you to even use a 4090 is ya wanted with practically no CPU bottleneck
