    Lyrics
I can feel the earth begin to move
I hear my needle hit the groove
    And spiral through another day
I hear my song begin to say
Kiss me where the sun don't shine
    The past was yours
    But the future's mine
    You're all out of time
I don't feel too steady on my feet
I feel hollow I feel weak
    Passion fruit and holy bread
Fill my guts and ease my head
    Through the early morning sun
I can see her here she comes
    She bangs the drums
Have you seen her have you heard
The way she plays there are no words
To describe the way I feel

A story here.... ok so i was a 15 year old kid living in New Zealand, the year was 1990. My older sister who was living in Manchester at the time(our family are from Manchester originally) she sent over a cassette tape in the post with this and some other indie bands on it, it was the very first time i had heard any stone roses, i was obsessed with music at the time, you could tell straight away that this was a classic song the first time I heard it, it had a cool 60s feel to it but with a modern interpretation. I'm now 45 and living near to Bury, north Manchester, time goes quick

I was 21 when this album came out. I’d been hearing about this band along with the rest of the whole Madchester scene by the only source I had in my tiny little university/beach town of Santa Cruz: The Face and iD. I searched out this vinyl at Tower Records and from the very first time the needle hit the groove, I was completely and totally hooked. I think I just about drove my flat mates crazy-nutters from playing it over and over and *over*.
    God, I love this song.
