My family was friends with the family of four that was killed. They were on their way back from church when this happened. That night we went to church for one of the clubs hosted at it, and were wondering why they weren’t showing up. We called their cell phone multiple times and they did not answer. On Tuesday that same week we got our answer from the news. Not just including the extended family of the family of four, the two teenage boys who were in the jeep are still experiencing trauma. Their mother said that the two boys were best friends for a long time and when the accident happened they started to really drift apart. She also said that her son has started to gain weight, spend more time indoors, and his grades have started to slip. The impact with the jeep which the two boys were in was the impact that caused the death of the four. Even though it wasn’t their fault, they have to live with the fact that maybe if they would’ve beeb even 5 seconds slower or further up the road, the family of four could’ve walked away.
They didnt know people died..Plus if your driveway is blocked by 1 car that can be moved like you wouldnt ask them to move it..True,the way he went about it was wrong, ask nicely and be polite..I had to ask for the police to move their car as it blocked my only driveway for my business years ago,Officer said sure in a few minutes...I walked back into the office ,shut the lights off, went into my car and he moved his car and I said you can park there again when I am gone..No problem ! They dont get upset if you ask them to move their car once the scene settles down, sure if a Ambulance or Fire truck is blocking your way, cool down and reflect on what happened !
Who in the hell was going to stop in and look for used cars at that point? Really?? What's the name of the lot and is that Shamu the guy's sister or girlfriend...
That kid is an idiot for worrying about his dad's lot at a time like this. Telling the cop to move their car, he should be arrested for interfering in a fatal crash site.😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
The 69 yr-old was high on pills, blamed the accident on the family he killed & criticized their car & lives. He slammed into the rear of their car & sent them into head-on traffic, where they hit the Jeep. He got 80 years. The victims were Christians, missionaries to Africa. The kids were 6 & 4. One hour before the crash, the daughter responded to the Sunday school teacher's lesson about Jesus coming to get His people, by saying, "what is He waiting for?" At least one of the young men in the Jeep was changed, not in a good way. God comfort, bless and heal those hurt by this.
I think he was talking to the guy holding the camera as soon as the guy said that the guy with the camera u can hear him say something about "pictures"
Not that it makes a helluva difference, but Cooper wasn't intoxicated because of alcohol, but a combination of Oxycodone and Valium pills. The doctor that prescribed Cooper the medicine was ultimately arrested in connection with this accident. That doesn't excuse Cooper because he should've been more responsible about taking heavy medication and getting behind the wheel.
oxycodone is a very strong pain killer valium can be used to help you sleep or relax. I can see them being used together. The notices say avoid driving or using heavy machinery until you know how your body will react. The doctor may have had a reason for prescribing a the two together
i replied then seen your reply....no kiiding what a selfish moron....you could tell when he blabbed to the officer that the officer didnt really care about the douch-bags complaint. people are unreal these days
Life is extremely fragile, seen too many drunk or intoxicated fatalities. Glad I'm retiring soon and will stop driving the 120 mile round-trip, to and from work every day. Drive safely and defensively.
People do it in your area too ! They work in Vancouver and live in Abbotsford even Chilliwack ! I know that and I am from Sumas WA ! Not everyone takes idiotic transit or rides a childs toy aka bicycle !
moonlighter6 I drive 30 miles to work every day and that kills me lol amazing with ur high number ! But besides that, I worry everytime I get in my car and hope nothing bad happens to me or anyone traveling . But it still does and will. And that’s Terrifying
They don't want to show how injured or possibly blood etc. If they are on a stretcher and the medical examiner, or funeral home picks them up they will be covered up and they will show that.

Recreational drugs far surpass prescription drugs when it comes to fatal accidents in the United States. The cause of fatalities from younger drivers is much much higher and then fatalities by Senior drivers. And please read about statistics before posting it helps prevent biased.
Just thought of something. If this guys quote is on the news it will do more damage to his dad's business than a blocked lot. I wouldn't shop there even for a better price. They think the first responders parked there on purpose? No, they are adding to their lifetime quota of PTSD. My husband worked EMS. He said the young kids about kill you, everyone is affected.
This is becoming the norm. With so many Americans popping pain and psychiatric pills like tic tacs, many are driving impaired. A family of four straight up erased. Beyond sad. RIP
"You're blocking my dad's lot. You have to move that car." Look at the cars and imagine where bodies would fit. Count how many police cars and emergency vehicles are working the crash site. Think of someone beside yourself.
Back when i was a PO. This 19yr old drunk. Gets on the Hwy. Hits a Van with a Family of 14 inside. Killing all of em. The parents Grand parents kids n grand kids. Their was no one left in the family to notify next of kin. He killed them all.
Had a similar accident that we represented a woman in, it was 8 people in a van all related, only the mom survived, her kids, sister and mother were all killed.
"hey , you're blocking my Dad's lot. So, you need to move your car..." Hey, your Dad needs to move his lot. So, it's not on a busy thoroughfare , likely to get blocked by accident investigation.
Except the first responders did not block the lot, the rude videographer did. While I appreciate the work Scott does, he is not authorized to block any privately owned entrance or exit not already taped off by police.
What a jerk..... there's a family out on that road dead and he's worried about a vehicle blocking his daddy's car lot!!! Ain't no one coming to buy car right now son!! God bless this family and the loved ones left behind to grieve !!! That family will never be the same......all because someone decided to be get out and drive while drinking or after drinking??? Sad...... in the blink of an eye!!!!
I watch a few of these videos. When I trained as an EMT have to tell you its just pure adrenaline rush until you get to slow down for you to even realize what you just did. Gotta give these guys that works these wrecks a lot of credit. I live on a beach in Florida and we can count on fender benders daily. Taught me to slow down and sometimes even hesitate to look both ways again. When you are just going to a grocery store and can see a wreck daily. Makes me more cautious as a driver.
This statement in no way is to disrespect the decedents. I have told all of my family members including my daughter that the yellow line between traffic does not guarantee that the oncoming car will stay on its side. Be alert at all times. If you are going to change lanes while traveling down the highway and you need to look to see if there is a car next to you you are not driving correctly. You should look in all mirrors continually and know what's behind you, beside you and coming at you always. In 1983 I was driving late at night and in my rearview mirror saw a car coming at a high rate of speed, I pulled off the road into the gravel and the car barely missed me doing 90 mph in a 40. Five miles down the road the car had hit a tree and killed the two occupants. Always assume the other person on the road is an idiot because in most cases they are.
Yes, most people don't drive correctly. The family that died WAS on their side of the line...until they were pushed into oncoming traffic. As far as changing lanes, there is a blind spot & anyone who doesn't glance to check the lane they're changing to is asking for an accident. I'm a professional driver & I avoid an accident every couple months by looking over my shoulder before changing lanes.
The family killed WAS on their side of the line, until they were pushed into oncoming traffic. When changing lanes anywhere, you should glance over your shoulder just before moving over. I'm a professional driver & have avoided several accidents by doing so. Look it up.
So many other people are involved in this tragedy. The couples parents lost their children and grandchildren. If there were other children they lost their parents and siblings. The two boys in green car, will always know they saw 4 people die. They will be affected forever. And the man who orchestrated this senseless tragedy, his family will know he killed 4 people and will be blamed, for sure. The first responders and cops won't ever get it out of minds. This is life altering for so many people. How sad.
Let's just tape the entrance to his dad's lot off and see how he feels about that. Hell, why would anybody want to run right in and buy a car while all the police are out front or does he think that will improve his dad's business.
That's easy enough to find out because that accident is a matter of public record so you find out where the accident was bam you got the car lot and the mouth the little bastard who thought it was appropriate to shoot his lips off

Not at all. He hadn't drank in 33 years of being married. It was his age and health that created this. We don't have mass transport for those who become older and need assistance so the old folks just keep driving.

This was not first time he had been out driving while on this mix of medications, he had already been involved in near tragedy with another vehicle holding another family! There is always great coverage on this channel. So another DUI wipes out a family of four 😩😢😡. This takes me well beyond pissed off. 🤬🤬 You just never know, and may justice be served here. It is hard to imagine any punishment that would come close to being justified in this case.
The car lot must be very upset that people won't see there defected vehicles, not worried about the loss of life, you will have a chance to rob some poor person, maybe you go to the survivers to see if the insurance check cleared for that new vehicle they will need.
Just saw the victim's car. Sad to think if they had been hit directly from behind, then at least some may have survived. Looks like the jeep hit the car with it's elevated bumper height at the worst possible location, crushing the passenger compartment. An entire family wiped out ion one messed-up moment. RIP to all of them. Now some poor family member had to visit a now-empty and quiet home filled with lost-forever memories to do something with their belongings. I feel for them.
Even though this was posted in 2015, three years is never enough time to grieve for the loss of a loved one/friend's life. I pray that peace can be a part of the survivor's lives. The tragedies that occur on the roads are immense. Lack of attentiveness, alcohol, drugs, speeding, and the list goes on.
No doubt about it. I understand. Time does ease the pain and emptiness, but it does not dissolve it completely. Accidents like that, ones that occur abruptly, leaves an indelible mark on a person's psyche that no other type of accident do. My only brother (who was 14, only 3 yrs older than I) died as a result of a home accident. I was maybe 10 to 15 feet away while my father was just a mere few feet from my brother when it happened. IF my father was not a former MASH nurse, he would not have had a chance to survive as long as he did before dying. The folks across our road was working on a project and had made a sudden noise causing me to look their way when all of a sudden I heard my father yell out in shock and panic. Being as abrupt as it was, that when I turned around, it took a few minutes before realizing something truly dreadful had occurred. I ran as fast as 11 yr old legs could muster to summon help from family inside our home, then over to those across the road, but it was too late for my brother. He died on the way to the hospital. This happened in November 14, 1974.
I know this is old, but the guy worried about a used car lot being blocked during a fatal accident? No class. Acting like that is completely unacceptable and proves he is trash
What a stupid thing to have been said by the car lot owner! “Hey you guys are blocking my Dads lot” What an idiotic and insensitive thing to say! Four people just lost their lives, and all they care about is their driveway being blocked? I hope they go out of business!
What about the poor first responders who have to be Hands-On with these victims especially with these children, I was a firefighter and you never forget the things you see it affects you for the rest of your life
Mollyemma Hawkins he was on oxycodone and Valium it was prescribed to him by a doctor who should have been prescribing any medications to any one the doctor is also linked to drug overdoses as well to this horrific car accident
69adrummer mostly because they are limp during the accident from being so drunk which gives with the force of the impact where as the sober people tense up making it easier to break bones and have greater injury. Its so true. The drunk driver always survives and is the one less injured then everyone else. I got hit by a drunk driver head on collision at 40+ MPH. I broke my kneecap, bruised ribs, concussion, bruised/cut face, knocked unconscious, cuts and bruises all over my head and body. The lady just walked out of her car completely fine, not even a scratch on her. The best part is when her husband showed up on the scene and the first thing he yelled to her was “YOU DID THIS AGAIN?!”
KeyserSoze26B thank you. I think this is the first time that I have ever seen the correct explanation to why the drunk rarely gets hurt. That comment about moving the car blocking dads lot flew all over me! I grudgingly had to think maybe they didn't know the extent of the accident or someone was trying to leave (legitimately). And the two just marching up to the guys working the active part of the scene should not have gotten that far in to the area but again I will give the officers the benefit of short handedness. I won't say chaos because I've seen these firemen/women and responders work before and they are an amazing team! I hope the 2 were reprimanded. I hope your incident with the drunk driver did not leave an permanent pain or damage on you. If so and no matter the timeline I pray for your health. You seem like a very nice person!
You only this blocking the public view in the US. I lived in Europe for four years and when there was an accident they didn’t hide anything. They wanted motorists to see what happens when you have high speed Autobahn crashes, regardless of how gruesome it might be. They used it as a deterrent.

I always pull into a used car lot to buy a car if there is a fatal accident just outside. What a dick.

Yes, it's a well known fact. A fatal accident is prime time to make a sale at a used car lot.

It sounded like he was talking to the cameraman and not the first responders.
This is becoming the norm. With so many Americans popping pain and psychiatric pills like tic tacs, many are driving impaired. A family of four straight up erased. Beyond sad. RIP

Don’t drive small subcompact cars
How sad.
I pray that the good lord is with them all may God's love comfort all involved
HE DOESNT OWN THE EASEMENT!
Let's just tape the entrance to his dad's lot off and see how he feels about that. Hell, why would anybody want to run right in and buy a car while all the police are out front or does he think that will improve his dad's business.

Kevin C i lost my dad and two brothers in a auto wreck in 1981, you never. get over the tragedy, it gets better with time but the pain is still there.

Why do drunks almost ALWAYS get out unscathed?! damn
