  • Here it is..every garment I sewed up in 2023!
My wardrobe is at a fabulous point now! And it only took a decade of sewing! But really, I do feel like the last few years as my knowledge of fabric and technical skill level has increased my sewing has gotten quite successful. Getting dressed in the morning is finally fun and easy! I love the pieces I added to my wardrobe this year. After my winter sewing is done, I should have an amazing- and cohesive- closet.
Here are most of the pieces shown in the video. Most can be found in more detail on my blog, Sew Pomona www.sewpomona.com with fabric info, pattern and reviews. Most of these are also shown in my videos here on the channel(check out my Monthly Makes videos) if you want to go back and find out more. Happy Sewing!

finding inspiration in Rebecca's journey. dealing with a broken ankle myself a few years back, her recovery story resonates. my path led me to Aspect Health, not pushing it, just sharing. sewing has become therapeutic; her creations are impressive. always curious about others' creative outlets. proud of her accomplishments in 2023!

Thanks so much- always glad to add some inspiration! I will say what helped my recovery most was my daily yoga practice. Happy Sewing!

Cara, I love your idea of fostering friendships within the sewing community. I also have taken a leap to reconnect with my college roommates. Last fall I contacted them both and we've met a few times since. It's been so good to see them again. I just don't know how 30 years slipped by so quickly while we were content with Christmas and birthday cards! My husband and I were in London in August, 2022, but I hadn't "met" any of my British sewing friends yet.Now every time we talk about returning to England, I'm always wondering how I could possibly meet up with some of my newfound "friends" in person.😂 I do intend to check out the virtual sewcial in the near future.

How wonderful to reconnect with your college friends! It’s so great being able to chat in person or virtually with sewing friends. Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for your gracious reply! I have no idea how that comment ended up on your channel. My playlist must have rolled over to your channel before I finished my post.I thought I was commenting on So Sew Mad's video. I can't wait to see your completed ball gown! I hope it's going well.

I really enjoyed this round up video! I like looking back at a year's makes to see what I've accomplished and learned along the way. It's easy to not be aware when I'm in the midst of it all.

Rebecca, I really enjoyed seeing everything you made last year. Your garments are lovely!. I like seeing what you're making. It's helping me figure out a new Florida wardrobe. My husband and I have moved here from Missouri so it's been hard figuring out what kind of wardrobe works here year round. I'm used to living in an environment that swings from one end of the temperature spectrum to the other. If's been a challenge! Can't wait to see what you make this year.

Hi Rebecca! I love that you put your first name in front of your title. Shall do people know who you are? Because they definitely need to know who you are.😅😅😅 I have not bought any ready to wear garments since I started sewing. You may so many beautiful garments! I look forward to seeing what you do this year.

Hello Rebecca love all your makes! Clearing off the table to sew for a February trip to FL. Need more knit tops and a skirt. Attempting to work towards a mostly self made wardrobe! You have inspired me to think outside the box regarding silhouettes and colors. I do needlepoint and enjoy how you have incorporated into your fashion! Great videos and thanks for many ideas.

Thanks so much! I appreciate it! I use a mix of fabrics: organic twills and cotton, a lot of deadstock fabric- rayon, knits and cotton etc., and Lycra knits for athletic wear and swimwear.
