Thanks for another great video Rebecca. I love your style and enjoy seeing your makes and capsule ideas. Was the slate colored boatneck tee(the one you said matches your eyes) self drafted? Also you mentioned in a previous video about doing a tutorial on your lined tank tops. Looking forward to that.
Thanks so much Rebecca! The slate tee is self drafted I talked about it in this video: th-cam.com/video/iyDVSXex8xg/w-d-xo.html I'm not sure how quickly I'll get to a video tutorial for the tank, but I do have a step by step blog post on it: sewpomona.com/reversible-tank-top-sewing-tutorial/
So well coordinated! And lovely colours. I like all the pants best because I am still trying to get basic pair to fit. Luckily the Bob pants from Style Arc fit me well, but they are kind of goofy and fun, so work in only one category .
Thanks Nancy! I find that if one pant fits you pretty well the company's block is probably a good match for you (that's why I love Burda trousers so much). I would try another Style Arc if the first one was a success. Pants really are the trickiest to fit well- but once you have a good base fit you can compare that pattern to future patterns you try. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing. Just finished a lined tank that you suggested in a previous video and am currently using it a lot on my holidays. I used bathing suit fabric. Perfect! I will be making more.
Always glad to spread some inspiration! Yay to garment sewing! I’m guessing from your handle you already quilt so you’ll be a pro in no time! The biggest hurdle is usually fitting but once you get it right you’re golden. Thanks so much-Happy sewing!
I love seeing all your makes and your ideal colors. You have it figured out. I loved those shorts that you showed in your last video so much that I got the pattern and found some fabric to test the pattern with. I had to pare down the pattern a lot since I have lost weight. Yeah. But they look so flattering on. I need to finish them now. It is a little late in the early fall to wear them till next summer. But I can make a few pairs that I can wear now while it is still warm during the day. I am always looking for that inspiration to keep going and bring new things into my sewing and to my wardrobe. You just ooze inspiration. Thanks so much. I found a fall t shirt and sweater at Kohl's. They were so inexpensive I couldn't pass them up. They are both an extra-large. I can size them down without question. I am an autumn, and I have a lot of different hues of orange in my wardrobe already. But these are tops I wouldn't make, and they will get worn. And I can focus my sewing on other projects. I can't wait to see what you do next and to see your plans for what you are going to sew for fall.
Thanks so much Jeanette! I'm always glad to share some inspiration! Aren't those shorts fantastic! I need to make some more in the spring. Remaking oversized clothing is always a great idea! Have fun sewing!
Great video thanks Rebecca. Although we live in opposite hemisheres, your climate is very much like ours here in Queensland Australia so I find your wardrobe ideas very helpful to save for when our fall comes around. Your color choices are gorgeous and I dream of having such a well curated wardrobe.❤
Thanks so much Trudy! I often think the same thing when I see makers/stylists from Australia. It’s taken quite a while to curate my wardrobe - but I’m so happy with how it’s coming together. Happy sewing!
10:29 I really like that button feature at the bottom of your pants. All of your makes are very well made and they do not look homemade at all. Right now I am working on underwear using my cotton and linen fabrics. I finally drafted a good panty pattern and now I am working on my bra pattern. When I am finished with that, then I will start on fall/winter garments which is easy because I like rib knit and waffle knit thermal long sleeve shirts. I am going to use your leggings video to draft some pants to match my shirts😊.
Thanks so much! Getting a great fitting set of undergarments is a lot of work- but so worth it! I’ll be sewing up a bunch of easy knits this season too. It’s nice to have a more relaxing project after working on something more challenging. Have fun sewing!
Hi Kathy! I would probably say I’m a summer. My coloring has changed quite a lot as I’ve aged and I have a bit of olive in my skin so I’m pretty neutral.

Rebecca those pants look great on you, I love the pleats
Thanks Cindy! I’m so happy with how they turned out.

Love it! So glad you tried it out! Hope you had a great vacation! Happy sewing!
This is just what I needed for inspiration. I’m new to garment sewing and I like your style

What season are you? You have both autumn and winter colored clothes.
