You should have mentioned in your video that Jokic always plays! He has missed one game this season, and also carried his team to the playoffs when Murray and MPJ were out due to injuries. Sure, they didn't win, but he got them there. The man has been dealing with a lingering wrist injury, back strain, and was poked in the eye a few days ago where you can see it's still visibly irritated, but still played! Embiid is soft. Embiid didn't deserve MVP last year, he clearly stole that from Jokic with the smear campaign by KP. Joker was clearly better than the year before when he won it. This year, the 9 of 11 games he's missed have been against teams like the Heat, Celtics, Bucks, Pelicans, Magic, Rockets, Timberwolves, etc. The two home games he missed were against the Jazz and Kings. As of now, he is the most consistently great player bringing his team to win. Also he is as clutch as Jokic this year. He leads the league in points scored, steals and his Defensive Box Plus Minus is 2.7 for the first time in his career. I'm not saying Jokic or Embiid have less of an impact. I'm just saying, this year Shai has been special and his team is winning the most with him being the main contributor.

With what happened in the NFL last night, I can confidently say that Joel Embiid and Lamar Jackson are two peas in a pod; both have great regular seasons, both are MVP candidates. But let them play in the playoffs and they will freeze up when it matters most. They're both all time choke artists.

The difference is Embiid throws his body around recklessly when he is too big and not conditioned well enough to be Kobe Bryant. Jokic plays under control at all times. He knows what his body can take and he finds a way to be effective within those limits. Embiid tries too hard while Jokic moves with utmost efficiency and guess what. He doesn't get hurt nearly as often and when he is hurt, he plays when the team needs him.

Larry Bird broke his orbital bone in 1991 against Indiana in game five. He came back out in the 3rd and helped them win the game. He went straight from the game to the hospital and had surgery. The issue with this kind of video premise is that if your looking for an excuse, you WILL be able to find one. That will always be the case for every player or team. It’s hard to win, you have to win in spite of the hardships and obstacles.

Embiid isn't dominant and doesn't want to dominate. Meanwhile Jokic and Luka will see a mismatch and take advantage of it every time. Either by bulldozing to the basket or forcing a double team. Sure they'll shoot the J sometimes, but not when they see the mismatch inside with no help. Embiid still doesn't force the issue, he'll see a small guy in the paint and still shoot a jumper almost every time. He'll still pass before the double comes. He's been doing this for years now. He doesn't want to dominate.

You should have mentioned in your video that Jokic always plays! He has missed one game this season, and also carried his team to the playoffs when Murray and MPJ were out due to injuries. Sure, they didn't win, but he got them there. The man has been dealing with a lingering wrist injury, back strain, and was poked in the eye a few days ago where you can see it's still visibly irritated, but still played! Embiid is soft. Embiid didn't deserve MVP last year, he clearly stole that from Jokic with the smear campaign by KP. Joker was clearly better than the year before when he won it. This year, the 9 of 11 games he's missed have been against teams like the Heat, Celtics, Bucks, Pelicans, Magic, Rockets, Timberwolves, etc. The two home games he missed were against the Jazz and Kings. Coincidence? I don't think so! The games where he is said to dominate teams... Is he truly dominant? Sure, if you're playing sub 500 teams. I don't get the hype around this guy. As of now, he is the most consistently great player bringing his team to win. Also he is as clutch as Jokic this year. He leads the league in points scored, steals and his Defensive Box Plus Minus is 2.7 for the first time in his career.

The difference is Embiid throws his body around recklessly when he is too big and not conditioned well enough to be Kobe Bryant. Jokic plays under control at all times. He knows what his body can take and he finds a way to be effective within those limits. Embiid tries too hard while Jokic moves with utmost efficiency and guess what. He doesn't get hurt nearly as often and when he is hurt, he plays when the team needs him.

Though Embid is an insane talent, no denying that, I am not a fan of selective playing and stat padding. It's wild, because the talent in the NBA is crazy good in todays NBA. But with how they ref, load management, flopping and all the uncalled travels in the NBA, its sort of cheapening the game. Its so easy to score in todays NBA in comparison to how it used to be. The issue with this kind of video premise is that if your looking for an excuse, you WILL be able to find one. That will always be the case for every player or team. It’s hard to win, you have to win in spite of the hardships and obstacles.

Whether it's Jokic or Giannis, every season Embiid takes games off against his main competition. That coupled with him always refusing to dominate by getting in the post when the opposing team's bigman is 6'8 or smaller, all prove something that we already knew. Embiid isn't dominant and doesn't want to dominate.
Meanwhile Jokic and Luka will see a mismatch and take advantage of it every time. Either by bulldozing to the basket or forcing a double team. Sure they'll shoot the J sometimes, but not when they see the mismatch inside with no help. Embiid still doesn't force the issue, he'll see a small guy in the paint and still shoot a jumper almost every time. He'll still pass before the double comes. He's been doing this for years now. He doesn't want to dominate.
