My 14 year old dog has been drinking way too much water for the past weeks. After watching this I really wanna go to the vet with her but my mom is very much against going to the vet or even the doctor when I feel sick. I am so worried about my dog. I convinced my mom once to go to the vet. It took me 7 months to convince her something is wrong with the dog. It was a noticable tumour on her leg. Even my mom cried when the vet came back with results. She is shutting off again this time tho. I tried it already but she just shrugged it off. Any idea what I could do to convince her?

i had to put my best mate Sparky down, he was almost 17y in the past weeks before he died he drunk lots of water and barely eat, he lost 6 out of his 20kg.........he died from Liver Cancer
You know I have dealt with many enemy combatants in my life, but nothing is worse than a SOB that neglects an animal, this dog loss his eyes something he needs more than most, I cannot imagine the level of neglect that took place with this dog, makes me sick.

My puppy is very energetic but today he's weak idk why, he doesnt eat anything yet but I saw a progress he always drinks water but he always throws up. Any tip I can do, simple remedy to avoid vet..
And he is urinating in the house wich is something he never did before
My 14 year old standard schnauzer has suddenly started drinking water to excess and losing bladder control in the house. The vet tested for diabetes and kidney disease and it looked normal. Normal ultrasound of her belly. Any advice? She does have arthritis and we have been playing with different medications to get that right as Metacam started giving her vomiting and diarrhea problems, so we switched to cartrophen injections.
What did you find out? I have a 10 year old Shih Tzu with excessive drinking. About to go to vet with her.
Was she on prednisone? My dog just started it and he is peeing alot more and he has been drinking alot of water.
Most likely a kidney infection

I'm so mad. My old vet said it was normal, and I just lost my baby from kidney disease. Her immunities got compromised, and she got parvo at 14 and than her blood got contaminated and she went south so fast. All could have been treated 😡
my dog is healthy as ever and drinks so much. i think he does it because he just feels hot. (he’s an aussie) it does become a pain though especially when you have to make 100 outside trips a day because of having to pee so much! lol
Hi I need some advice, I don't see our vets are usefully. Please help me to cure my dog, she is drinking too much of water, and always laying down and sleeping, isn't active. And she got white cloudy in both her eyes. I tool her to vet then they she is fine but she can't see that's all and give me to put eye drops. It's being months yet she is same. Please advise me.
My dog keeps drink water and frequent urination.when I'm being him for a walk his tongue goes warmish colour.brought him to get, took blood samples and get said they are fine. The dog is over weight , please advise on what I can do to make home better??? Thank you!
He is a true test. To determine if he is drinking more then normal even though the blood work says he is fine. Take his wieght in pound ---> 22 lbs ÷ 2.2= 10kg
Then get the kg --->10kg × 100=1000 milliliters of water.
If 22lbs drinks more then 1000 milliliters per day then there is something wrong
Do these same calculations for your dog. If your dog is drinking more then he should you get a second opinion and make sure to bring the blood work. I also dont know what his urine looks eirher. Best to get s second opinion so the next vet can review everything and go from there

I took my dog tonthe vet and he did bloodM work and urine tests and said everything is good but he still drinks toooo much water please help...

@simrandamana6424 what about now that your dog has matured? I got a 4.5mo old white Sheppard and he consumes massive amounts if water daily. I wonder if it's from him being in a high growth rate period...maybe at over a year old he'll slow down???

My dog is completely stopped eating after vaccine and her nose and mouth is completely dry but no fever at all and she is drinking more water then usual....the vaccine was dhppi and lepto
Her age is 6 years and weight 5kg , mixed breed Pomeranian.... please help me....the date of vaccination was 16th Feb and she is getting worst...I've visited so many doctors but their is no improvement they have suggested me blood test which is LFT , CBC , Haemoprotozoa slide, Haemoprotozoa kit..... and she is drinking a lot of water
If she's still not acting well then it's definitely recommended to look into testing to get an idea if there are any internal changes that are significant and warrant for their treatment

There is a possibility that something is going on. Your vet should be able to tell you how much water he should be drinking a day. If he is drinking more then that would give you the clue that the answer to your question is yes

My dogs laying down all day and drank 4 bowls of water and spewed it out he's even going for more water someone please help me find out whats going on
Need to take him to the vet and start with blood work and a urinalysis
@@DrLera today 29th march 2021 my dog rocky has passed turns out he had a disease and was too late too save he was internally bleeding until we put him too rest may he rest in peace he was the best friend a man could ask for and i hope he knows that we'll meet again
