I love how these old game designers threw all their passion and hopes into the game. They get so much from so little. Now it’s give as little and charge as much as possible.

Yeah they actually cared about innovation back then. It's a shame that went away for pure greed.

I was able to play in the R360 at Aladdin's Castle and the old Starcade at Disneyland. I remember loosing my change on the floor when I flipped upside down. Definitely an awesome experience.

    Aww Pat. Amazing timing.
Literally just playin Y board Strike fighter on Mame, was gunna call it a night as we are in uk, so its 1am here...
    Then POW...
my guy uploaded related content to my life. No better way to appease a main character in his own movie 😂
Jokes aside, really hope you are well pat man.
Edit:- surprise you didn't mention strike fighter and afterburner 3 as these ARE Gloc but instead of a timer, its lives based.

That C64 version was dire indeed. You'd think enemy sprites randomly phasing to the inside of your cockpit might increase the intensity, but no such luck...

I saw one of the r360 cabinets at a landfill in southern california about 10 years ago. I tried to buy it (and it looked like it was in great shape) but they refused to sell. It made me so sad.
There was like 40 or 50 rare and old cabinets there and they were waiting to be crushed.

Played one in Blackpool, England. Didn’t have a clue what was going on. I think it was £5 to play at the time, so about £13 in today’s money!

Same. I'm pretty sure it was in Pleasure Island near the front doors to the promenade. £5 also rings a bell too. Glad I got to experience it.

OMG PAT!! YES!!! I remember I went CRAZY first time I saw that in an arcade in the posh area of Rio de Janeiro... it was absurdly expensive to play, but SO WORTH IT!!

Pleasure Island in Blackpool, UK. I'll never forget having a go on this back in the day. I think it cost £5 a spin which was very expensive but completely worth it for the experience.

My dad used to work for an arcade company, sometimes I would go to the warehouse after school and play some of the games being repaired /prepped for the stores. R360 came in for a week or 2 with Warwing and I played for hours. And was one of the best experiences in gaming that I can remember.

    Thanks pat for the video❤
I still remember the first time seeing this machine at a age of 6. It was on a holiday trip to Spain by car, and we had a stop at a gas station somewhere in France.
And there it was standing all alone in a corner... And I was like I NEED TO PLAY THIS GAME.
    begging my parents for coins.
I remember the price for one credit was around 15 euro freaking expensive.
I only played for less then 2min or so, and boom Gameover 😂there was actually nobody to operate the machine I just realized now.

$100,000 for the arcade spinning cabinet back then, that's a lot! Cool coverage of this unique After-Burner style game, GLOC. I will try to track down the Genesis version that you cover here. I am still surprised how good the Sega Master System After Burner port is back then and the Genesis game, not counting 32x. Thanks!

I remember telling my friends about this game like 10 years ago and they all thought I was either lying or crazy. Glad to have proof to show them now.
Couldn't remember the name of the game for the life of my but DEFINITELY remember the experience.
Thanks a million for uploading this!!!

I was an arcade junkie but never saw this gigantic beast! Saw a lot of the other motion games, but never this 360 one. I wonder if someone has thought to repurpose it into a flight sim cabinet? Regardless, thanks for sharing! Maybe I'll pop on down some day to that arcade that still has it. :)
