    my notes:
    1. diet:
DON'T: inflammation = aging: sugar, refined crabs, simple carbs, alcohol, industrial seed oils, red meat, processed food. avoid AGE (advanced glycation end) foods: cooking method e.g. grilling, BBQ, frying, roasting, baking, toasting will enhance inflammation causing AGE levels.
DO: stewing, boiling, steaming, consuming foods raw
examples: white rice -> brown rice, white bread -> brown bread, grilled/fried food -> steamed/boiled food, chips -> nuts, industrial seed oil -> extra virgin olive oil
her 5 favourites anti-inflammitary food: turmeric (curcumin), garlic, ginger, dark leafy greens, cold water fish (sardines, salmon)
healthy fats: advocado, sia seeds, nuts
vitamine A: broccoli, dark leafy greens, carots
    vitamine E: advocado, nuts
omega 3: nuts, sia seeds, egg
suppliment: cod liver oil (vitamine A, D, omega 3)
antioxidants: dark chocolate, fresh berries, dark leafy greens, green tea/matcha, suppliment (CoQ10, resveratrol, milk thistle)
anti-aging smoothie: advocado/sia seeds, matcha powder, dark leafy greens, fresh berries/fruit, plant powder, cacao powder, ice cubes
    2. skincare habits:
DON'T: do no harm to the skin, never let your skin be dehydrated, never stress/inflame/sentisize your skin, reduce physical friction/contact with your skin (don't use a lot of face muscles, no towel to dry your skin), protect your skin from UV rays (wear sunscreen daily)
    3. lifestyle habits:
DO: stress managnement, sleeping habits (side sleeper -> back sleeper, cotten pillow case -> silk pillow case, sleep deprivation -> 8h of sleep), working out = blood circulation/invite oxygen

@@honganh1750 Of course! Buy small portion of whole ginger, and keep it in the fridge. When you want to make tea, take it out and grate ginger into a cup. Boil water then pour over ginger in the cup.
Here is when you can choose to let it sit for 5 minutes then strain it or the way i like it is just leave the grated ginger in the cup. It will be stronger and have more benefit. Drink it warm or another recipe is you can let it cool down then squeeze half a lemon and add teaspoon of organic honey.

Liah, your videos are amazing! I love watching them! Please consider covering these subjects in future videos: *1)* Skincare around the Eye Area *2)* Skincare for the Lips *3)* Comparison of AHA & BHA (good products in each category)
I really would love to see a video on each of these subjects because you haven't talked about them much in your other videos. Taking care of the skin around the *eyes* and the *lips* matters just as much as the rest of the face. Also, *exfoliation* helps clear up the pores but you don't have any videos specifically dedicated to it. You only talk about *AHA & BHA* in some videos but I'm still not sure on the best way to go about it. I'm a little worried about using products that will compromise my skin barrier because it's already compromised.
So, thank you you for sharing such helpful videos with us and I look forward to seeing more :)

I recently watched a video that talked about how sleeping on the side is probably the best position. Most mammals sleep on the side and so do indigenous people. When we sleep on our back, it increases the chance of obstructing our airway (hence the increased snoring with many people), which significantly compromises sleep quality. I don't know if it's true but it's interesting to consider.

I don't know if this helps, but as someone who tried all of these things, I'd say give it a shot! I've been using oils only to cleanse & moisturize my face for +6 months now and it's been the best decision I've ever made (skin barrier has gotten much better, all my cc's are gone, pores got smaller) and as about honey - I sometimes use it as a second cleanser after the oil, it works pretty well and leaves a nice thin film on the face. Though depending on the honey and your skin type (mine is extremely sensitive), the honey may irritate your skin a bit since it sometimes contains the tiniest granules of sugar.

On the subject of turmeric, our bodies can't process curcumin without piperine, which is what makes Black Pepper spicy, so Indian food has GOT YOU on not only anti-oxidants from spices, but also bioavailability of those spices!
Although long, hard frying produces A G E's is makes certain nutrients more bioavailable, particularly beta-carotene (plant based vitamin A) and lycopene (it's why they turn the oil red!) I really won't eat carrots unless theyre kinda crispy, golden, so it's a sacrifice I'm okay with making in some cases 🤷
I don't have much of a sweettooth but ERYTHRITOL is an antioxidant that is used as an artificial sweetner! I find if you use too much it tastes weird but again, I don't use a lot bc i'm not a fan of sweet stuff!

Hello my dear 🌴, I've been subscribed to you for quite a while, and I've been too shy to talk to you. I'm much braver now, so before my question, I just wanted to say how fantastic I think you are. I've been watching you since before you created your beauty line, and I'm just amazed at all the things you've done. I'm so, so proud of you. You're doing amazing! I can't wait to continue to see where you go. I wish you all the success in the world. Love & blessings always 🙏🏾💜
Alrighty here's my question: Should I be worried that Butoxydiglycol is in the Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser since it's yellow on the EWG?

I'm not afraid of nightmares. I have a very low fear threshold. My problem is that my body doesn't get sleepy when laying on my back.
Like I could be lying on my side and almost closing my eyes into sleep land. But as soon as I switch and lie on my back, I'll suddenly lose that sleepiness and become fresh again.

I'm quite confused...I have see many studies that show the disadvantages of sleeping on your back...
implying that it can damage your body's natural function of replenishing the brain development or nerves? And how it also causes snoring, this was supported with alot of research (to periods of hundreds of years ago) and even going into detail that tribes people/indigenous sleep on thier side (without any bedding).
I was wondering where you saw that information? Or if my information was somehow inconclusive? I'm sorry as I unfortunately don't have a source to support this 😖, but I remember distinctively reading it somewhere, a few months ago...

I would highly recommend eating liver. It is by far one of the most nutrient dense foods out there. I would mix it in with ground meat. To make chicken nuggets or hamburgers. Organ meats in general are just higher in nutrients than just ordinary meat cuts.

I’m 50 and eat in moderation. Raw/stemming all salads and veggies. Hardly eat red meat and recently had my iron levels checked. They were low. Gp asked about my diet and how much red meat and green leafy greens ate etc .... again I eat spinach every day with a lot of fruit. I eat healthly but seems red meat is lacking. Been taking iron tabs from 3 months and feel better for it. So would like to know how to increase iron in diet as I don’t want to eat more red meat? We all need to keep iron levels up as it really affects your energy and the older we get, this can all affect your overall health in other ways.

5things to ocnsider use natural sunscreen i.e. zinc oxide rather than chemical laden ones. Also, collagen, bone broth and probiotics. A good chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid 2-3x weekly is great also added to Liah's advice above.

Hi! I was wondering if face massages can be bad for your skin, because they do feel great and some people say face massages are good for the face, but now I’m not sure. Is it true that as long as you use lotion and don’t put to much pressure on your skin it should be fine?

Thank you, but I can barely think of any recipes that don't involve frying or baking. Frying means drizzling oil (or melted butter) into a pot or pan and then putting food onto the oil (or melted butter) to cook it, correct? Do you have any ideas on how I can avoid frying and baking for even one day???

I think the key is to incorporate little by little, and not be pressurized by the number of things that we need to change in our lifestyle by pacing ourselves. It sounds and looks daunting, but I think if I try to incorporate those tips, say, once for every week, I can tick more boxes by the end of the year than doing it all at once and lasting only two weeks at most 😅
It helps that we have pretty much all necessary supplements available otc, too.
