Several of Bach's multi-harpsichord concerti were acknowledged by him to be largely transcriptions of Vivaldi violin concerti. So you're right -- and wrong; it's both, but Vivaldi did it first. Cheers

I like how performers try to propose a new point of view in a work like tempo, new articulations and dynamics, etc... but we have to take some care, it would take off the piece character and rethoric climate. Is not this case... but i already saw a vivaldi like a etude by Chopin, the etude Op. 25 Nº11 (winter wind)... ohh how run there one... it takes off all turn-on...
