    I am a Malaysian living in Australia. I have lived in the UK and NZ as well. After few years living overseas, I realised we Malaysians simply don't appreciate that we are blessed with one of the most beautiful country to live. Absolutely an under-rated country. Going home for good soon, Insyaallah.

      Absolutely... btw it's not just Malaysia, we are originally from Bangladesh, and lived in Australia for over 15 yrs. We have the same problem... other than economic reasons, the main issue is a colonial hangup which is not that old

When I'm abroad the most thing I miss most is 24/7 halal food restaurant (we call mamak) last time we have McD (before boycott) and yeah halal food everywhere no issues. 2ndly, most of petrol pump stations have prayer room which make easy for us coz u can find petrol pump station every 500m-1km. The allure of Malaysia for me lies in its Islamic culture. Having spent over 30 years in the Netherlands and almost 17 years in Morocco, I've come to appreciate the values and traditions rooted in Islam. As an IT manager in an international company and with my wife employed in education, we're financially secure. However, raising our children and grandchildren here poses significant risks. Morally, there's a concerning trend that seems to escalate daily, making it increasingly difficult to maintain our values and principles.

    • @tinydetour
      @tinydetour  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What's stopping you from moving? I'm curious to know.. is it the feeling of unsettling the kids? The discomfort of disruptive a settled life?

      @@tinydetour
      For the past few weeks, I've been pondering the idea, but I'm confronted with daunting challenges: how do I persuade my children to emigrate, and what repercussions will this have on them? They've grown up here, establishing a 'sort of' social circle. Moreover, our extended family - parents, siblings, nephews, nieces - all reside here. I worry about the difficulty my children might face living away from family, fearing they may feel entirely disconnected. Thus, regardless of the decision, it remains a formidable challenge.

    • @tinydetour
      @tinydetour  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    As someone from UK I honestly believe the racism issue is a bit silly. Compared to what it was like when I grew up in 80s and 90s things have improved massively, the issue is the comments section on right wing articles and social media give a misconception that the whole country is racist when its not. My main issue with UK is the dam weather.

Since coming back home (Malaysia) after Uni, I've visited UK very often, feeling comfortable with the life there. I actually enjoy the colder weather but pine for summer weather when I stayed there. @@tinydetour I looked into that but again it means having quite a lot of money or a high paying job from a company based outside of Malaysia. I lived there for nearly 3 years on and off but would work in neighbouring countries also like Myanmar and Thailand. The problem is that without a resident permit it’s very hard to get health insurance in Malaysia. My mate was left to basically die in the waiting room of a hospital in kl due to not having the funds to pay up front to get seen and it’s only by Allah swt that’s he’s still alive. Malaysia is a lovely place for sure but the time I spent there showed me a few darker realities. I guess nowhere is perfect to be honest

      @@travellinglostsoul7191 Malaysia is not a perfect country. Many times I have seen Malaysians always highlight this in any comment section in many videos about Malaysia.
      Why the requirement for long term visas is quite high, one of the reasons might be to control the number of foreigners in Malaysia. FYI, many locals actually struggle due to the low rate of salary here. If so many foreigners come in large numbers, the locals will suffer. Foreigners with a high rate of currency enjoy the convenience due to the low exchange rate of the ringgit, but we ourselves will struggle and suffer due to our low salary here. Subsidies that should be given to locals can also be enjoyed by foreigners. In the future, these subsidies will be eliminated, so locals will suffer more.
      Did you know, the Malaysian government has spent millions of ringgit especially in the case of sending thousands of immigrants who entered Malaysia illegally. These costs include the cost of food, accommodations, and transportation before they were sent back to their country of origin.
      Other than that, the latest information says that Malaysian hospitals have to bear the burden of foreigner's unpaid medical bills of up to RM100 million due to those who are careless in paying these medical bills. This is the report for the end of the year 2023.
      FYI, in most cases, hospitals in Malaysia will typically prioritize medical treatment first rather than asking foreigners to pay a deposit before payment. What happened was that many of them ran away and were delinquent in paying the medical bill.

Thousands of Foreigners are Hostage as if you want to leave you may not unless your sponsor gives you a multiple entry exit but they can block you if they want You cant sponsor your kids when they reach 16. All Arab Muslim countries have a caste system so the whiter you are the better you are. You cant send your children to a government school so private is expensive and the only option the American School and so on. There are certain education and housing quota for Malay Muslims. The government sector is mostly Malays while private sector are non Malays like Chinese. Despite all this, the trade economy is basically controlled by non-Malays. The privileges was born out of agreement for Malay Sultans to accept the Chinese and Indians immigrant as citizen after Independence from Britain so they must uphold the Malay language, culture and Islam as the state religion. Malays were poor villagers back then while the non-Malays were involved in trade and industry so there was an imbalanced of wealth that need to be addressed.

    It's good to move but check the tax rules.
    Some countries tax on foreign income. That means if you make money in UK or US you will be tax in your new country on that income.
    US does have this rule,, but the tax the income limit is high, around 95000 . So, no tax on the first 95k. But , some of this countries have very low income.

      Yes, you are right. Usa is the strictest in terms of the foreign income of their residents.

    A country that’s good for Muslims is the one which the Divine Laws of Allah (Shariah) is completely being implemented and followed as the main form of governing the people. Today, even the so called Muslim countries are following the secular form of government which are mostly man made laws and maybe a little from Shariah here and there… May Allah facilitate the creation of Dar ul Islam where Muslims can make hijirah and live under the Shariah Law Aameen.

    I cannot see any issue in Australia, only issue is minority but still second largest religion in Australia is Islam. As Atheism increasing here the chances are increasing for the Muslims eventually to expand Islam here!

      This video was more around why certain Muslim families prefer to move to Muslim majority countries...

  • @pakngah3715

    When one live in place where one's faith or ethnic group is a minority, one cannot expect to bring up children nor live in the way according to one's desired religious or ethnic preference. So migrating to another country is not necessarily the best choice. One is still a minority.

    Be careful. Saira has openly stated in her videos that she does not care what Allah or the Prophet Muhammad have to say about riba. She has been involved in consuming riba her whole adult life in the mortgage system. Her new thing is trying to get people to move to Malaysia and go through her so she can profit off your interest based loan.
    This is all from her own videos, just a warning from my .
