PS - For whatever reason, I love how you refer to the "Hammer Brothers" as "Bros"... I know that's what they're called, but for some reason I get a kick outta the way you say it, for what it's worth!! Again, GREAT videos, GREAT runs!!! Keep 'em coming!

I really like how in SMB2 every Character is being used somewhere in the speedrun.
I came here to see some "hot fire grabs" and I wasn't disappointed.

With categories like this I don't see why an 8-bit Lost Levels D-4 category can't exist. It probably wouldn't even take an hour to warp to 8-4 eight times and then completing the secret world.
If enough people started making runs of that exact description you just gave...they would be forced to make it a category! lol

That is just the way the category is defined, that decision happened before I ever ran this game.

Ben 1014 Usually, Japanese versions have faster text times, so speedrunners tend to use them. Idk if this is the case with All Stars, but that might be it.
why didn't you get the second flute on mario 3 so you can skip to world 8?
This was a "Warpless" speedrun of all four games - so no warp zones were used in any game.

Those pink squids trigger some real childhood ptsd xD i hated those they somehow always got me when i was little. Seeing this run really makes me wanna play all the old snes games again.
i literally watch darb every day and I never saw him do this run. i saw the race where he got 2:11, and he was practicing stuff the next day, when was this? ughhh i always miss the records.
