Xbox One S Beep On Beep Off with Bad Corrosion Fail | UK eBay Reseller

This Xbox One S was bought from a car boot and sold as working. But guess what? It was Beep On Beep Off, the HDMI port was destroyed and it was in a really bad state. This was from a friend, Times with JR (aka JR Reselling), who bought this one and gave it to me to look at.
Sometimes you just have to think of this as good practice but we tried our best.

100% for effort on this one, I don't think I'd have spotted half of those broken traces. I find it's better to put to one side and revisit again, I'm sure you're very close to beating this one. Thanks for another cracking video

I only stumbled across the broken traces as I was measuring components and got no readings on the first one, then noticed the others.

Well done. I have seen people bypass the esd ic diode with tracing wires. Do a search as it is worth a try to see if it comes on before investing more in it.

Yes I've seen a few ESD bypass videos but was wondering if it is that or if it would boot without it. I might give it a go soon.

It should boot with no esd ic but not display, I would suggest checking 12 vault rail mosfets on the right hand side under fan. I would check the cod3r videos out on youtube he is one of the best at console repairs.

Yeah I tested all the mosfets and they were all good. I also have all voltage rails so it shouldn't be the Southbridge. I watch loads of the cod3r videos but thinking this one might be an APU issue.

Hi. I have a Xbox on my bench with the exact behaviour. It plays on tone with light, hard drive spins, No fan and after some sec it plays the off tone and is off. And at the beginning it often plays the tone without light and after 3-4 times the light came up. It’s exactly as in the video.
Does someone knows what is wrong here?
