As a serious hobbyist photographer; Canon 5D Classic is my primary camera for landscape and street photography purposes while, 5DII is now the backup camera. The Classic makes me a better photographer everyday.

I think you touched off a renaissance with your images and observations. The comments reflect this some. After the purchase of my third Canon 5D Classic (I'm afraid the price is going to skyrocket eventually) I've decided enough is enough. It was my first full-frame camera and it caused me to abandon Pentax, the brand I learned on in 1980. I have always said that the sensor on the first 5D is superior, has never really been improved upon, and is film-like to an astonishing degree. Other photographers, younger ones, seem to be waking up to the 5D film-style movement, a return to something simpler. What value the camera truly holds! It is becoming legendary. Anyway, during the video I found myself wondering about your post production. It seems to me that you got film color down really well: muted, natural, lovely tonal nuance. And there is a medium format airiness to the images. Very nice.

I would argue that making you slow down is the very reason why it is NOT good for professionals. I also think that beginners would be put off by the weight and size of it, as well as the absence of a suitable means to check their photos and learn while on location. I do think it is a great camera, but more suited to serious amateurs on a budget who value the end result over gimmicks.

I started my photography with trending film photo back couples of years ago, but can’t justify the cost of film and lab developing anymore hence I look for alternative film-look digital camera, then i bought 5d classic. For me, 5dc is the best training ground for making you learn the basic of exposure, but it’s also more than capable of professional works. People are overtly spoiled by tech , massively modern iso performance , and bell and whistle that modern Mrl has, stripped all that down to manual setting and people can’t shoot and work anymore. This is truly amazing camera even in 2022

In 2024 the 5D classic gives me what the r6, a 7iv and z6ii can't. The look of the jpgs files are awesome out of the classic.

I just found your channel, so happy I did, I was so in love with photography but recently that spark for finding my own composition was ruined by learning so many different rules in College. Your images are amazing. Truly made me happy and want to pick up my camera to just shoot my life again and not have huge projects or concepts.

I have 2. Bought them for chips. 1 has a 50mm and the other a 28. Will never sell them, they are reliable, gives amazing photos and are just a joy to use

What i like with the Canon Classic is the color, they are so natural and in depth, you don't need a lot editing.

Thanks for mentioning the 5D. I've had it for 2 years already and it's been serving me amazingly. Plus the colors give me a unique look.

I bought the 5D the day it was released. It's the camera I have shot the most images with, and am seriously thinking about getting it again. Less is more.

I ended up buying two of them. 1 is pretty worn down and I’ll use that one most for the time. Second one is near mint and will keep as a backup in the years to come. Such an amazing camera. Underrated. I’d recommend grabbing an extra in case the hype comes in. The film look is just too good.
