Motorbiking can be like a Catharsis . Just as much as you got to embrace the elements in life if to have any measure , its why to love that feeling when embracing natures elements when motorbiking. But still, once water logged, perhaps taking a break might help - Usually the weather pushes on when waiting under an overpass - ride safely !
I was headed to north Georgia once, on a Sportster, got caught in the rain and stopped just across the Alabama boarder on I-20 and was informed there were 2 tornados on the ground, one about 20 miles east and one about 20 miles west, I got back on the bike and everyone said I was crazy for riding at that time. I figured if God wanted me, he could have me.
I absolutely love you and your videos!!! What would we do, who would we be if it weren't for our wind therapy. No, stop! Don't even think of such silliness! Happy riding! Be safe.
The last time I rode like that was 2016 from Cairo, Mo. to just south of KC where I live. Rode my 2011 Super Glide all day in pouring rain on the last day of a 4k mile trip. Bike didn`t miss a beat and handled perfectly, even when it wanted to hydro plane a few times. The day I left the house was my 67th birthday. Oh, it was a solo trip.
I'm glad you got out of the hospital okay. But I truly believe it's God who puts those desires into our soul and blood that's why we do things that others can only wish they could do keep on riding my brother and never look back because the road is always calling us
Great video. The positive attitude that you carry is contagious. You and your club should be very proud. Y’all still show true brotherhood. There’s no better feeling than being on the road with your brothers. I’m 68 years old and been riding for the better part of 50 plus years and I still get excited to hit the road. It just takes me a little longer to recover. Ride safe.
It's a passion that hard to explain to those who aren't as passionate. But I absolutely love the brotherhood and the fact that they are literally one call away. Thank you for watching!
Your videos never cease to impress me G-Kue! Again, much respect to you!! I appreciate you sharing your journey with us, and I look forward to eating up a few miles and state lines with you. Memorial Day weekend 2021, my son and I rode our bikes, a 2017 Heritage Classic and a 2020 Iron 883, from North Georgia to New Jersey for the Freedom Ride. That weekend was planned knowing about a cold front that covered the entire East Coast. We rode the entire time during a storm. It took us, riding straight through, 24 hours to get to the hotel that everyone was meeting at in New Jersey. Then we finally get there and they won't let us in our hotel room. They said it was several hours too early. Then, it rained during the Freedom Ride. After the ride and ceremony, we went back to the hotel to get some sleep and head back to Georgia. Our trip back was dry and took around 17 hours to get home. That was Sunday. We had to work that next morning on Monday. My son had about two years of riding experience and I had about six months of riding experience. We had a blast. GOOD TIMES. Great Memories.
I wont lie and say that rain didnt wear me down...IT DID! LOL but thats the game we play on these bikes. I wouldn't change it. Be safe and thanks for watching!
I really enjoy you're video's. I am in upstate New York. Horseheads. I don't have anyone to ride with. I ride a 2003 Dyna wide glide 100th anniversary. I feel like you do. The highway being you're friend. Ride safe my friend.

Sometimes, you just have to man up and get it done. Good on you for laying out the truth about riding, and that is, that sometimes the ride is tough, cold, wet, and long. The good news is, it's always better than sitting in front of a screen.
Got to like riding in the rain when I was a kid in high school in Panama. Rainy season is no joke. A couple of wet trips as an adult worth mentioning were one from Daytona back to Memphis, rain the entire way, and Eureka Springs, Arkansas back to Memphis, rain all the way. Rain so bad visibility was terrible with the 18-wheeler spray. Hypothermic hallucinations set in when the sun went down after 10 hours in the saddle. Glide on!
G-kue I love these videos of your trip. The last long ride I took was Phoenix to Loveland co in 2010. You have inspired me to take another long journey . Thank you!
You're back there in my stomping ground. I know what you mean about being far from the interstate and traveling the back roads from Fayetteville to SC.

May 2021 riding from Oakland to Detroit, I sat in 14 hrs of rain. going to Detroit it rained 8 hrs straight from Des Moines to the Michigan state line and never got above 45. In the short time that we spoke that day he was very open and even offered me advice on health and wellness. Thats big for someone like me who had jst met him. Respect to his family/ friends/brothers.
In 1994, I rode from Denton, TX to the NM border in the rain. I had to pull into a gas station for an hour because it was raining too hard. When it let up, I rode on, in the rain across Texas. Not fun. I was on a 1992 Low Rider FXRTC.
Excellent video. I’m getting ready for a week trip over to the OBX for a few days then head over to the Blue Ridge Parkway and ride that ending up in western NC. Definitely bringing the rain gear, tools, tire repair kit and hopefully never have to use any of it.
Rode back from keys west one weekend and rained the entire way back to west palm beach. Was a long ride home but we made it so I can relate to this video. Great video btw.

Louisiana is one of places trying to ride to this year and me one my buddy's trying to ride out to the rare breed LA mother chapter this year
yes lol all the way through France to Germany, good job my waterproofs were waterproof and breathable lol well done, riding in torrential rain is never fun, especially when you have no T/C and 160+bhp on the back wheel
Great video Brother!! Glad you and your riding partner made it safely to Fayetteville and back home. That was a fantastic club house you visited, with some great fellowship goings-on. What's a road trip without some rain, and tire issues, granted you had enough for the year :) stay safe, enjoy the ride.
Sure I could do it. I live in Seattle. I would just prefer to know ahead of time that it's going to rain on my ride, so I can hear up properly. Otherwise....uh....nope, probably not lol. Time to find the nearest hotel and wait it out lol.
"Isolated showers" from Greensboro, NC to Rochester, NY. Problem is they were only happening where I happened to be at the moment. 12 Hours of rain and it wasn't a good ride.
I rode from Augusta Georgia to Chicago straight through in a driving rain storm around 800 miles. I had no choice but to keep going to get back to work. I heard ringing in my ears for 2 days from rain and wind leaking through helmet. Did that ride back in 1990
Riding in the rain sucks. I have had to rearrange my trip by either staying longer or leaving earlier. Yes, I carry a tire repair kit and an electric air pump. Your luck is horrible, but it only energizes me to carry on with the trip. BE SAFE AND RIDE ON
I only get so many days off to ride so i have to get where i going and back in time. Sometimes its rainy...sometimes..its cold...etc. All we can do is prepare ourselves and enjoy the ride ! Be safe!

I say yoooooo
Your story telling ability is unreal!!!
My goal is to pull you in the ride with me!
yes lol all the way through France to Germany, good job my waterproofs were waterproof and breathable lol well done, riding in torrential rain is never fun, especially when you have no T/C and 160+bhp on the back wheel
Wow! Glad you were able to make it through safely!
@@JustGKue there was some very brown moments lol not the most enjoyable ride on my GSXR K1 1000, but the racing in Germany was well worth the trip
Awesome video!!! ABN!
Thank you! sorry for the late response
Fantastic video brother.
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Great story..Thanks!
Thank you for watching!
Great video Brother!! Glad you and your riding partner made it safely to Fayetteville and back home. That was a fantastic club house you visited, with some great fellowship goings-on. What's a road trip without some rain, and tire issues, granted you had enough for the year :) stay safe, enjoy the ride.
Just seeing these comments pop up. Thank you!
Sure I could do it. I live in Seattle. I would just prefer to know ahead of time that it's going to rain on my ride, so I can hear up properly. Otherwise....uh....nope, probably not lol. Time to find the nearest hotel and wait it out lol.
Things happen lol
Just seeing these comments pop up. Thank you!
"Isolated showers" from Greensboro, NC to Rochester, NY. Problem is they were only happening where I happened to be at the moment. 12 Hours of rain and it wasn't a good ride.
Dont you hate that? Then looks like you'll get a break and then....BOOM RAIN!
I rode from Augusta Georgia to Chicago straight through in a driving rain storm around 800 miles. I had no choice but to keep going to get back to work. I heard ringing in my ears for 2 days from rain and wind leaking through helmet. Did that ride back in 1990
I definitely understand 💪🏽
Awesome video! Thanks for taking us along with you!
Thx Mz Dirty Red!
Be safe!
