Why do many people say that black people should not go to the Sturgis Area? Every year near the time of the sturgis rally this discussion comes up as to why we shouldnt go. There were various reasons mentioned but I as the leader of the Peace Army took the time out to take a motorcycle trip to sturgis. This is what I found out....There are more people who are welcoming than you could ever think! Dont be afraid to get out and explore.

Glad you had a great time! Goes to show if the 99% of us Americans payed no attention to the 1% of race baiting crowd and media how great could this country really be! They fear us all coming together more than anything! Greatest country on earth! God bless!!
I just want to spread peace love and joy! Thank you soooooo much! I truly thank you for watching ✌🏾😊
Exactly. United we stand, divided we fall. And with the advent of social media as a tool, they're creating and dividing along more lines than ever before.
AMEN! Tell it.
Yup, it's hilarious how the media acts like there has never been a black president. But sadly Obama also turned out to be a race baiter.
So much beauty, nature near Sturgis. Went several years. Big mix of people🥰
As a white 80 yr old Floridian, I am so sick of the media trying to scare people of each race against each other. Go where you want and do what you wish without fear. 99.9% of us just want to get along and live in peace. The media was trying to scare minorities away from Florida needlessly. I’m thrilled that you had the same emotional reaction to that trip that I had. I felt your sense of awe. So very glad you went and will go back!
great words sir
Florida is effed up, so the media doesn’t have to work too hard there. 😂
tell that to yall desatin gov
are u gonne one of the yt men that will stand up to the ones that are at racist and that really is dividing this country the media had not a thing to do with racist yt folks
and ur an 80yr old man im sure you’ve seen and probably had been racist i dnt know but pls dont blame the media and down play our experiences and what we went through
so our eyes didnt see what we saw with
MR GEORGE FLOYD
MAAAAN MISS U ALL WITH THAT
IT AINT THE MEDIA ITS EVIL WANNA BE DICTATORS LIKE DESATIN THTS DEVIDING THIS COUNTRY
and no media is scaring us from coming there y would be want to u really dont see wht this man is doing it came out of his own mouth he is making laws to keep peopel like us away pls sir dont speak on the black experience when u know not a thing about it
all the sun down towns that are out there so i guess the media created tht as well right??
its not the media its the town that dont want us and it may not be everybody but there are more than less that feels this way
and im not tryn to be mean i really wanna have a conversation with u and really have u explain your side to me what ur sayn makes no sense
this same young man would never be able to go to those sun down towns
all i see them doing is going to all the beautiful green parts why dnt he go to the area tht says black folks shouldnt go there
he is showing the major historical parts lets see him go to the towns tht dont want him there
beautiful sentiment but on the real side the media just report on stuff that people do. the media didn’t invade the Capital building or fly planes into the World Trade Towers.
With all the clickbait focused on dividing us, thank you for making content that brings us together as Americans. A ride like that feels like a spiritual endeavor, and you've given me the courage to do it some day.
Man it was amazing...so amazing!

We live in a vast free beautiful country and it’s up to you young ones to keep it that way always. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you so much!
Old white man here. Glad you went ahead and took this trip to such a beautiful part of the country. Travel broadens your horizons. I truly wish that all Americans could take the time and be able to afford to travel and see our great country. There is too much crap coming out of Washington and Hollywood which just seems to divide us all as a country. I wish you the best.
Jeff from one Jeff to another you nailed it brother 🤝

Well said, Brother. A beautiful country it is. We the People are Blessed and when we realize that and unite across all fronts, we are an unstoppable force.

That's the reason we're in the mess we are today. The United States has become an intersectional collectivist society, Kue's tribe most of all... The only group pathologically denied this expression is the White European. Consequently, we are being absolutely destroyed.
You had me in tears when you got emotional about your mom.
You said something that I agree with 100% is that those of our loved ones who have moved onto the next plane in life always watch us and send us indications that they are with us…❤👍🏼

I’m a 66 yr old black male who used to travel across country on my Goldwing. In my travels I had nothing but positive experience from complete white strangers seeing my bag and asking where I’m going or coming from, offering me meals, their place to rest or stay. I’m glad you experienced the some of the best this country offers from its people to scenery.
This is my America! Ignore the race baiting media
Awesome
If people could do this there would be no divide. I hitched in my 20's, some in South America too. Of course bad things can happen, but people are generally good, and race and political persuasion have nothing to do with it. When you are hungry, or wet, or cold and someone helps you, your prejudice dissolves. But sit at home and you just identify with a narrative.
Isn't Flyover Country wonderful? They want you to believe the very opposite about it.
Why wouldn't you go to the Mecca of bikers?. Doesn't seem right and the people there only want to hang and party. You go bud!

Thank you so much for those encouraging words. I'm thankful for them 🙏
Awesome video bro... Brought me to tears when you mentioned your mom passing... I recently lost my mom 7 months ago... So I feel you on having those moments when we talk to them... Much luv brotha
Man I appreciate that bro foreal! 🙏
I had to take some time before writing this. As a Black man in my 50’s who has been told his entire life that certain activities or music or whatever was “for white folks” it feels good to see a like minded brother who refuses to be told what he can or can’t enjoy because of race. Beautiful video keep enjoying life without limits!
Thank you!
As a white guy who is swiftly approaching 50 himself, I'm glad you enjoy what you enjoy and ignore anyone who says you shouldn't because of some BS race "rules" or however they'd try and justify it.
Life is just too short to miss out on something because of someone else's biases and bigotry. One people, one love. Peace be with you friend.
Just keep in mind that those phrases and lines of thinking always come from white liberals.
Stay blessed :)
As a 34 year old white dude, I am very happy to see people doing what they want, regardless of their skin color. As long as somebody is a nice person, I honestly do not care what they look like, or what they believe as long as those beliefs don’t directly cause harm to other people.
I am a white man in his late 50s. I appreciate greatly the messages in this video. No one should have ever told G-Kue (sp?) that Sturgis was not for a black man. No one should tell people that they can or cannot do anything because of their skin pigment or ethnicity. We should all be free to do as we wish so long as we harm no others.
I also really appreciate the love for America shown in this video. I choose to see it differently, from two wheels I power with my legs, but it is beautiful. Recently, I was riding in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Beautiful!
Thanks!
I’m a middle aged white guy from PA, and your video is the ONLY one that has ever brought tears to my eyes and the I thank you brother, and I do mean brother because we are ALL brothers and sisters !! May God bless you on your travels and spread your message of hope and unity !! Much love from PA !

I'm so glad I clicked on this video. Made the start of my weekend blessed and with good light energy. Tugging at our humanity in tough times like these is what everyone deserves. This was a beautiful video. And I truly pray that we as Black people stop lumping all of us into one basket. I’m a Black American female who loves reading fantasy books, hiking, camping, sewing, and doing yoga! I would’ve loved an open road trip like this. We are all individuals!
It's not always black people. Other races of people tend to judge black people as a whole. They stereotype us and think they know what we're about before they give us a chance.
We don't. We know what is up with the media. I treat people as individuals.
@lc6636 Well, I'm thankful for people like you who don't buy into media garbage. I judge people as individuals as well. I never assume I know how a person is or what they're interested in based on what they look like on the outside.
@@bubblybubbles4023 The people that are always concerned about race you should avoid at every turn.
I'm so grateful that I was raised to love everyone... I also enjoy writing, and I'm glad that you do as well.. 😊 Much love 💕
Pausing at 21 seconds to say, I am a lifelong motorcyclist, from a motorcycling family. My mom rode. Whoever told you that is silly. There is trash in every color and creed, almost every kind of group. And there is also way more people that are down to earth and rock. You ride and you're cool, that's all that matters.
Same honey I've been to Sturgis 10 times our country and people are beautiful... some is not most ❤

Man this video puts such a smile on my face, I’m so so happy for you and your friends, we did the trip last year ourselves, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and back to Florida, it was a great trip and it was so wonderful hearing your dialogue and seeing the camaraderie that you experienced along the way 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! It was such a treat! I'll be back this summer!
As another black man. I realized a lot of people limit themselves. They assume the world won't accept them or everybody is evil. I've traveled a lot and yes there are some assholes here and there. But for the most part I have never been scared or felt unwelcomed. This trip was dope. It was almost like I was there with y'all😂
Would you take a trip with me to a "sundown town"? I always wanted to know if the rumors are true
This is 💯. Explore everywhere with good vibes and all will be well. Make the racists make the first move to out themselves.
I'm an old white man and I feel exactly the same. I moved from an ultra liberal northern town full of prejudices (aka Quebec city) to NC to discover how nice and warm southerners are. I still have a lot to learn from these people.
This is so true!!!
Unfortunately there are those who will never accept you, but keep living life the way it should be. At the end of the day, The grave yard wont care where you are laid to rest. Live you dreams on your terms.
I am an old white woman and so glad you did this trip and shared it with us. I have traveled to every state except the north east. I think every politician needs to do a road trip like this. In a car, no speeches, just mingling with the people and see what we have. It changes you. Thanks for filming and sharing your trip.
Actually there’s a lot of politics out that way. Lol. But I think the only places I don’t feel welcome is downtown in big cities. I feel unsafe. But I’ve been to all the places he went. Very worth the trip. Bike week is one of the safest events I’ve been to. Maybe it’s because bikers will bring it to you if you bring it to them first. Helps keep the peace.

I love sharing this story. My late husband, a black man, and I were moving from Seattle back to Virginia Beach and we ended up in Sturgis the first night of the bike festivities.. It was so hot that day. I had been putting towels in the cooler and then wrapping them around my husband's neck because our AC stop working in northern Idaho. We were beat, we had our 1yr old with us. My husband had battled the Uhaul all day as it wasn't loaded very well and his arms and shoulders were burning. We stopped at several hotels and discovered everything was sold out. At our last try before we ended up sleeping in our Ford Explorer we went into the motel lobby. A typical biker guy was checking in. He was a portrait of what you think of as a biker. He had it all, longhair, leathers, patches the whole deal, tatted up and as tall as my husband who was 6-6. Some people might have found him rather intimidating. As he was walking to leave he stopped at the door as the front desk lady apologized to us and explained there was no room anywhere in town. The biker turned around and said "They can have my room, I can crash with friends tonight." I will never forget it. We thanked him over and over again and then he rode off on his bike to find his friends. I was used to uncomfortable stares from other white people when I was out with my husband. It was 1999 and we had been living in Idaho for some time before going to Seattle. A mixed race couple in Idaho was a rare thing back then. This man was so kind to us, it really touched us both. We didn't get his name and we always regretted it. I hope we have passed the kindness on over the last 24 years. No matter where you go there will be people who hate. Our children have felt it especially as me moved between Boise and Virginia many times over the years and permanently in 2008. Ignore the hateful & embrace the loving.
Our son , Zeke, who was with us on that trip is almost 25 and rides a huge Yamaha Roadstar. He wonders about going to Sturgis one day and wonders how he would be received there as a black (biracial) man. We lost my husband at the start of the pandemic and the following year my father-in-law who used to ride with a club when he was in the military died of cancer. My son misses his dad and wishes he could share his bike adventures with his Papa who was affectionately known as Doc-G.
Edit :Zeke's birthday is August 29th and I think I'm going to order him one of your hoodies.
One of the other experiences on that trip that was more than profound for my husband was Little Big Horn. He got chills and said it felt like he had been there before. Ride safe!
Bikers are some of the kindest people.
FLEABONE, what a great story. We come across people who believe they’re doing a small thing for us, which leaves a decades long lasting impression. Sometimes it’s negative, which can inhibit our reactions in future. More often than not ,it’s positive, like yours was and we use the experience to help others. Take care, from an Irish woman in Devon UK.
Me and your son share a birthday, it's amazing I found someone to share a birthday with, tell him Happy Birthday for me
My son rides.
My condolences on your losses.
They are mostly a kind bunch ❤

I'm a 58 yrs white woman, your video has me in tears, for the reasons that you mention and for your sweet Mama showing you that she is with you at all times. And for the beautiful sites you got to experience. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU FOR MAKING THIS TRIP and not letting anyone tell you that you shouldn't!!
I was raised on motorcycles, my late husband and I planned on buying two bikes and we're saving to do so, he took ill suddenly when I was 40, just before he slipped into a coma that eventually took him from me forever, he made me promise to buy myself a Harley and ride the tires off of it, and he would be riding with me as my angel. A year after his passing I bought that Harley, I rode it every day. 2 yrs of having it, in 2009 I rode the entire Natchez Trace Parkway from the top in Tennessee to Natchez Mississippi, round trip was 1300 miles for me. It was a beautiful and peaceful ride, and also a test of my endurance for long distance riding on my own. My plan was to make my husband's and I dream ride out west, see all the amazing beautiful sites. So I began saving for that ride for June of 2010 and I was so excited for it. But I ended up having a bad accident in March of 2010, non bike related, that ended up changing my entire life forever. I was 3 short months away from finally living out our dream ride, it still breaks my heart to this day.
So just know that I took such great joy in watching you enjoying and experiencing all of the beauty that is out there and not letting anyone stop you from doing what you deserve to do! Your Mama is undoubtedly VERY proud of you, I certainly am! Much love and respect❤

We need more of this in this country. More people ignoring the race baiters and lamestream media. THIS video and what you experienced is what this country is all about - Americans love one another - religion, race, how you dress, who you identify as does not matter - be respectful and you will get respect. This country is a melting pot and it is what makes us strong - do not let them divide or categorize us.
@AndreWebb-sc1ugIf you don't know what's going on in this country by now, just go back to sleep I guess!
@AndreWebb-sc1ug
I don't know what you're talking about with the 50's... I TRULY hope that you aren't talking about Jim Crow laws and Sundown towns being equivalent to chattel slavery!!! Jim Crow and the Reconstruction era where definitely prejudiced and at times outright rac!st, but that's gone on all over the world since the beginning to EVERY "type" of person... almost always those of lower economic means. The History of the USA isn't exactly what any of us think it was, first person in the US to own a human FOR LIFE was named Anthony Johnson (look him up). 1 million troops died in the Civil War, some Southern Black folk fought on the Confederate side.
Lastly, this COUNTRY never owned any person. People owned slaves, keep in mind that there were quite a few Black men who reached the "status" of Planter (50+ slaves, I believe). How can it be dividing by race if African kings flooded the market through violent raids and African-Americans also owned African slaves? It was a terrible stain on our History but it's far more complex than you make it out to be. Study up, my friend... you're not a victim anymore than anyone else in the same economic class. Voter suppression, lynchings, racial gun control all affected lower economic White folk too. Rise above the rhetoric, it's tough to let go of hate, but you'll never know freedom unless you do. ☮& ♥
ChicagoTRS....your exactly right!! And we up here im the northwest S.D and
N.D and M.T. we are NOT racist at all! And people are missing out on so much beauty and experiences up here. We ALL bleed red period!! DONT LET THEM DIVIDE US!!! Sooo many misconceptions its ridiculous. Im so glad he made the trip to S.D and hopefully he'll be back for the Sturgis Bike Rally next year! He would have an absolute blast!!!! Much love from Montana ❤❤❤
Unfortunately you are speaking about yourself. This nation was founded on racism. There is a caste system here which thankfully is getting torn to pieces by Black empowerment. Reparations are due as well.
What did you get from watching this video?

Without a doubt the best 1st time impressions of riding the Black hills video I've ever seen. The way you captured your reactions to all that natural beauty makes me fondly remember the first time I rode out there. Thanks for sharing the video!
You're so welcome!
This brought tears to my eyes. I am an old white woman who went cross-country 5 times in my youth. Loved every minute. The concept that people would have tried to separate you from that experience breaks my heart so much. You seem like such a nice guy and that alone will open 90% of the doors and the 10% of people who might close the door to you, in those cases you would be better off to let those particular doors to close. But the Bible says to brush the dust off of your feet when you aren't welcome someplace and as a Christian, if Jesus had to talk to people way back then about sometimes not being welcome, we can't expect different.
My choice. Love events that "look & feel" safe! I don't step foot in, or even drive through, Chicago or Milwaukee!
@@gmanjordan4154 I have been all over the world and live in a Chicago suburb and my office is in the city, I travel to Milwaukee as well as it is only an hour, there is NOTHING about Chicago or Milwaukee that is different than any place else. Like you said, misinformation is poison and as Mark Twain put it, travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. Thank you for making and sharing this video.
Makes ya really think twice about those 15 min cities. People need to get off their phones and drive... even if its just to place 1 hr away. Then go further and further. This country is a beautiful place full of a wonderful variety of people! ❤
@shellbells3390 it's also full of racism, bigotry, and hate. Its sad so many people choose to overlook it
@jasonfisher6141 its really sad that that's how you choose to only see it. Sure weve all faced some type of adversity but the good far outweighs the bad. I only really see and feel it all the time is when Im online. Like people try to bring you down to state of victimization or something. Gosh.. like from people such as yourself.
@@shellbells339 not my fault you choose not to acknowledge the bad in this country. I travel up and down the roads of this country all day everyday so I don't have to get online to see what's going on. What gets posted online only underscores what I see in person on a day to day basis.
@jasonfisher6141 if the bad is what youre looking for, ya gonna get it. I look for the good, the positive. It so wonderful to be able to help someone. Be kind, and kindness comes back. Be sour and thats all you get in return. Have a great weekend.
