You not only have the skills , you have the ´stickability´ that many of us don´t have. You also have an eye for what looks good. I´ve enjoyed the series.
you deliberately didn't want to make it tooo nice...? I've never seen a nicer st1100 period. The color combination is awesome as is the whole bike!!! Thank you for sharing!!
hi , looks great have my pan stripped at the mo , im a dispatcher so i wont be going super clean like yours , im commenting because i appreciate the work involved , there is some amount of stripping and putting back together on these bikes , my garage looks like ive took three bikes apart , well done : )
Fantastic job there 👏. I have the same year bike and looking to change out the bars, any chance you could let me know what renthal bar model you went for and raiser kit please? I also don't like the standard bar arrangement. Many thanks in advance ☺
@hlpsg I have thought about this but the thing is i'm not a qualified mechanic, i'm just a guy who loves to tinker with my bikes. That said i may look into this in the future. regards, Jim.
@DELEONSKI2359 Thanks, i guess what i meant was i didn't go for a full nut and bolt concours rebuild, i was just aiming to have a nice clean every day bike. Jim.
@DELEONSKI2359 My bike cost me £1450 to buy and i probably spent about another £1000 on it, i reckon it's well worth it. The bodywork is all original but pretty much everything else has been powder coated or painted. Keep your eye on ebay for secondhand panels, i'm not sure how much a full respray would be but it won't be cheap.
@firejim5 Jim, If I can ask, how much money did you spend on this rebuild including paint? My ST 1100 has 145,000 miles and she still runs fantastic (145mph) and no signs of problems with anything, however the body panels/plastics and some of the metal hinges need replacement. I really love my ST and at 50 plus miles per gallon I ride her more and more everyday, Thus I want her looking at her best,,, like yours. Yeah.
@yougolme Tak, jeg virkelig nyder cyklen nu er det endelig på vej. Jeg håber på en god sommer at få masser af ridning gjort. Google translator is great eh? Jim.
My friend has same but 1993. He's got trouble with the abs modulator blowing fuse. Pulled it apart and cleaned it. Haven't tried it yet. Do you have any advise for that if you also had trouble with it?

Just watched your videos, excellent job, do you still have the ST? There's worth a small fortune now.
Thanks for the comments, no, I don't have the bike any more, I sold it a few years ago. It was a really enjoyable project to do. 👍

Hi, not sure what the problem might be, if it keeps blowing fuses that might indicate a wiring fault. Sorry i can't be of more help.
regards,
Jim.

@firejim5 Jim, we're no mechanics either! lol! I'm a fellow tinkerer like you, just not as awesome, so I have much to learn.

Hi, where did you get the braided hoses from. Mine has bar risers on and the regular lines don't fit.
