I've got an st1100 as well, and I've wondered exactly what this video covers. Hard to envision what you're thinking unless the plastics are removed. In the end, I've come to the same conclusion. It's just an excellent bike the way it is. Thanks for creating this video!
Thanks for making the video. Ive been thinking along these lines. Im thinking of using one of rhese engines to build a small single seater car. I was thinking about the possibility of deleting some of the sump and the drive shaft that runs under the engine. Id then turn the engine round and have a direct drive to the gearbox.
Yep great engine. What entrigued me the most was wondering how much more power it would have without all the weight. The longetivity of these engines has much to do with the gearing, it sits comfortably at speed with very low revs.
