Good stuff, Dr Story. I’m 70 and started listening to your advice here about a year ago. My BP has gone from 140/70 to 120/80 with some adjustments to my diet and exercise routine. 👍👍
Thank you! We enjoy your videos. I recently began drinking about a half a cup of beet root juice (pure powder) per day and it helps. I learned to add lemon juice to it in order to help prevent the kidney stone issues. Thanks again.😊
Magnesium glycinate is the most bioavailable and we need twice as much magnesium as calcium for the calcium to absorb and not get stuck in the arteries, which is a huge problem because people take waaay too much calcium. Some chiropractors and nutritionists say to not even take calcium, esp. if you eat dairy. You should be getting enough from food. Also, D-3 is super important with K-2 for all of it to work optimally.
NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) lowered my blood pressure too much and I had to stop taking it because of this reason. I was getting very dizzy going from a seated position to standing. As soon as I stopped taking it, everything was fine.
Adam, great video! I've been plagued by high BP for a long time, a very long time. I have a powder combo of hibiscus and beet root powder that I was taking before I viewed your presentation. I might add that celery really lowers BP, but like magnesium, it can affect your digestion in an unpleasant way.
I do all 3 mag, tea and beets..also handgrip I symmetric and most of all.. i do deep Breathing exercise everyday with Dr. Story.. what a difference thank you for changing my life Dr. Story
For some reason a previous comment on where to buy and how to brew Hybiscus flower was deleted, this information may get deleted as well but I'm taking the time to share anyway. Hybiscus has been used in Latin America for God knows how long. This season a lot of my work and Meet up groups are meeting at Mexican restaurants, a refreshing cold drink that may be offered in the menu is "Rosa de Jamaica" this is Spanish for Hybiscus flower. Herbs have no ethnicity.
@AdamJStoryDC Doctor, I eat 7-9 raw garlic cloves every Wednesday half way through my dinner to avoid irritation to my stomach. Can that overall maintain good BP for me?
I know of two that will lower blood pressure and don't know of any side effects with the blood pressure medicine, Ashwagandna, and American Ginseng ,stress relievers
@ronstecker2835.. I’ll second that! Love both these plants.. Especially like a couple brands of American Ginseng from Wisconsin.. Also Ashwagandha was a game changer for me.. Gonna try Hibiscus tea next! Cheers…
The oxalates aren't good for rheumatoid Arthritis, so I would use the hibiscus tea (I already take magnesium.) Vitamin D3 helps with the absorption I heard. I just had 1 year check up today and my P was 138/84, which is high for me. Thanknyou for this timely video and information! You're a good mate! 👍🏽 Funny too, and very smart.
I’ve learned (and use) glycinate and citrate work best. He also recommends a product called Bio Optimizers which contains multiple forms of magnesium.😊
Thank you Doctor! If we take the supplements and meds and our blood pressure drops, what would you consider too low? I know not medical advice but can you let us know (or do a video) on, for you personally, what numbers are too low. Also, again personally, what numbers would you be okay with based solely on supplements where you wouldn't go on meds. Thank you again!
@@fernandog.aguirre2791 why not not buy anything and just eat quality food? Oh crap, wait … that costs $$$$$$ too. Just fast … that costs nothing and will lower your blood pressure. Happy?
Love your channel Sir. Olive leaf extract (supplement) is without doubt one of the best antidotes to high blood pressure. I dropped 20 points within a month and it stayed there. I take 1 per day forever. Cheers and thanks for everything you do. 😍

Glad it was helpful!
I purchased that magnesium supplement and I can say that it does help sleep and has lowered my diastolic BP as well......!!!

be careful with ginseng of any kind, it can increase estrogen which, is not what anyone wants. it can really mess up your hormones.
😊
How about beet juice. It taste like dirt but hear it's good. 😊
Dr Tanks for this information 😊

Glycinate
Agree with other comment, and do not use Oxide. Lower in Magnesium and worse one for diahorrea.

@ Ty so very much
@@Diane53M But Oxide is the one most widely prescribed by doctors. I use glycinate but there has got to be a reason why oxide is so widely prescribed.
