    As someone who recently sold their expensive lav mics for these new ones, I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised by the performance. The lav mics featured in this video not only provide clear and crisp audio, but they also seem to offer great value for the price. The sound quality during the demonstration was impressive, with minimal background noise and excellent sensitivity. Additionally, the build quality and design of these mics appear to be solid, making them a reliable choice for content creators or anyone in need of high-quality audio recording. I'm glad I made the switch, and I highly recommend these lav mics to others who are looking for a cost-effective solution without compromising on quality. Kudos to the reviewer for showcasing these gems!

    I love these. I own these and the Rode Wireless Go II. The ability to drag and drop recordings right from the device convinced me to switch. The touch screen interface completely sold me. The only reason I still have the Rode Wireless Go II is the Rode is more compatible with a wider variety of lavaliers without interference. (Now Rode has drag and drop file management too.)

    FYI for my use case it's no good, because when connected to my MacBook Pro M2 directly for livestreaming on eCamm, they will disconnect intermittently after 20 minutes - I've had 3 replacements, just in case it was the DJI unit, but in fact it's just not stable enough for USB-C direct connection to the macbook and is likely a design flaw.

    • @FellowFilmmaker
      @FellowFilmmaker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, for livestreams and such I'd never use a wireless lav system like this as they aren't designed for it. There are many factors that go into a livestream and lag is always one of them. Better off with a wired mic so that there is a consistent connection that you can offset the lag and such for. Wireless can be all over the place unless you're getting a system designed for it.

    I like that everything comes together including the charging case! I tried the DJI and unfortunately it seemed to cause some kind of weird RF interference on the Sanken Cos-11D lavs. Ended up going with the Rode Wireless Go II instead and bought a third-party charging case that's similar to what DJI offers for this. But this product segment is absolutely AWESOME and it's just in its infancy, can't wait to see what the next few versions of these bring.

    Nice! I saw these reviewed last year by someone you likely know and he followed up with a 2nd video that is a user guide for them. Could not resist even though I thought they were above my video-making station in life. Guess what- they made me a better video maker. For all the reasons you cite, small, portable, already charged and with a reserve, recorder, xmitter x 2, and I worried they would not be worth the price. Ha! The value is there! Agree with you on the too-small bag. And, ranting here, I have yet to buy a kit of any devices that I was able even to repack the gear that came with it into the provided pouch/carry bag, much less any extra necessity. Definitely with you on that gripe! I've used many of your ideas 😳😊 so now I think I must have learned something from you to actually already have in hand something you like! Appreciate you!

    Another great vid. I've been using the DJI mic system since it came out and it is my go-to for audio. All the features you spoke about are spot on. There is however a caution when using an additional lapel mic - interference. I tried using the Rode mics I had, but they all had interference. The issue was solved using a Shure MVL. Works like a charm. Now, the only other issue I had was with the cold shoe of the receiver mounting onto the cage - I used the half cage from Smallrig for my BMPCC 4K, and found that I needed to add a couple of small, 0.010 strips of plastic styrene to the base of the cold shoe for it to fit snug enough that it wouldn't fall out. That's not the DJI Mic issue, it's that one particular cage, as all the other cold shoe mounts work great. Anyway, yes, a really, really great mic system with a really, REALLY easy to use setup. I'll be using this for years to come I think. Cheers!

    I agree. 25 years of experience as videographer. Backup track is huge. I place the transmitter under peoples collars or lapels with a magnet on the outside. It’s pretty hidden (but buy stronger magnets). And it is so fast to put in people, laving people is just impractical in many situations. And boom miking with one man band operations is cumbersome. A couple issues I’ve had - recordings that fail, transmitter gain is too buried in the menus, output of receiver clips too easily, sometimes I have to go to the on board recording.

I used them for two microphones at a 3 hour event and ran the receiver into the camera and recorded as a back-up since I knew there was going to be a lot of 2.4 devices going, and in post, the internal recording wanders from the camera/receiver recording. Now it was only about a second or two off at the end of a long recording, but just fyi. Perfect for interviews! It replaced the sennheiser kit in my bag because of the size.

    I stopped investing into DJI products years ago. First the phantom 4 pro was the last drone in that class and after promising a successor we went to the smaller lighter Mavic series that was the consumer product line. Moved to an inspire 1 and osmo pro with the X 5 camera and I almost moved to the inspire 2 but I liked the option to take the same camera and mount it to a handle. Instead we never got that. Also the osmo PRO now will no longer work with their app so the entire camera system is unusable even with the litchi app.
    I have the sennheiser xswd lavs and the biggest downside of those is that in areas with heavy 2.4Ghz signal they will not work. Also if the battery dies then it's done. No replacement battery exists. If I am doing any wireless I use sennheiser EG100 Gen 2 and I got them used for $200. About 9 months ago.
