👍👍👍 I don't like to see vintage speakers get thrown in the garage. I am glad that you and others are repairing them. Nice job. Those speakers are hard to find and new replacements are not the same
replacing a vintage speaker isnt always an option. if the voice coil is good, you have to repair the cone. no other choice in most situations. putting a modern speaker in there wont work well.
Hello Sir. Can you help me ? I am having a speaker with diaphragm same same your speaker, I think it's paper. I dropped speaker and now cone is deviated, so I need remove the diaphragm out. Can you please let me know a detergent liquid to remove glue without affecting this diaphragm ? Thank you so much. Best Regards.
Hello, sorry, but I don't know such a detergent. I have seen in other videos varied people using some sort of liquid substance, to disolve the glue, but I don't know what they are.
Is that a Telefunken? I have a set, but the cone is standard grey. I have another method that is a bit crazy and perhaps destructive. I hit the magnet and the frame on the back with a rubber mallet. Or even a small metal hammer. It works about 3/4 of the time, but not when they are very bad.Just for slight rubbing. Start very lightly and go harder until it's fixed, or completely destroyed.
I don't remember the brand, but I think it was something starting with O... . I once saw someone selling one of this speakers and it still had the label on it.
