What breaks my heart the most is the 19 year old that was scared to go but only went to please his dad. The fact this could have been avoided completely baffles me
I know, he's the only one I feel sorry for, submitted himself, to his father's peer pressure to go on this thing, even though he was terrified, and didn't want to go
It probably will be shut down. The waivers, according to one legal channel, won't be held valid if the investigation finds neglience in its report. Plus the testimony of the engineer(?) That was fired for warning about the too slim safety margins. After that the flood gates of suits plus the bill for the SAR will quickly bankrupt the company.
@@rightwingcollectiveiqYou've just been a bundle of joy during this thing exploiting tragedy for one shitty joke after another. And a fitting name at that.
The saddest part is that the 19 year old was apprehensive and must have had that gut feeling about the dangers involved but his father ignored him.the other 20 year old and his father who declined the offer for the trip actually saved himself and his father due to his intuition. Luckily his father listened to him and withdrew. What a wise decision that was.
I don't know how true it is that the 19 year old didn't want to do it. An interview with the mother she states she was originally supposed to go with her husband but the son kept asking and she switched with him. Now to say he didn't have apprehension is silly everyone would be nervous going to do this. He opened up to the aunt that gave the interview and she seemed to be doing the interview in the wrong state of mind, spoke out of turn, and for the wrong reasons. I don't know what was going on with her emotionally (rightfully so) I don't know what the reason she gave the interview but she was going through a lot... I don't mean this as a negative I don't think she was looking to gain anything again I don't think she knows why she did it.
@@jonlamontagne what would the aunt gain by making such a serious statement? Nothing at all. The mother on the other hand? Easing her conscious as any mother who feels at fault would react .in my opinion it's a coping mechanism.why did she take so long to give the interview
Forget about the sub, they should *NEVER* have signed those waivers. If you're ever asked to sign an insane waiver like that, the only correct response is to say "HELL NO!" and walk away.
A waiver doesn't excuse gross negligence. If the company was put on notice about safety concerns and they brushed them off, a piece of paper won't get them off the hook legally.
It actually 1000% does release them from liability. That's literally the entire purpose of the waiver. If they sign it, then they are not held liable. Also, I'd like to point out that the waivers they signed are almost the same waiver signed for scuba diving.
Honestly it’s tragic yes but I truly only feel bad for the kid. Never let anyone guilt or persuade you to do something you don’t want to do. Trust your gut
It’s not really that easy I’m sure. The kid wanted also to hang out with his dad on FATHERS DAY!! The kid was also surrounded by so called experts and he believed in them because that’s who his father believed in. It’s natural for any of us to feel fear. Don’t act like that’s not a natural feeling..
It's different when it's a Parent having you do something that you really would rather not do. It's almost impossible for the child to say to actually say no. It's so sad that a wonderful life ended only because someone wanted to have more bragging rights.
They could have done something else. Like go to a movie or something less dangerous. By the sound of it his son doesn't seem to be the adventurous type. Would you agree?

The 19 year old didn't die doing what he loved doing. He gave in to pressure from his father who should have exercised better judgement in making the decision to go for both of them.
I feel for this young man's mother...I couldn't imagine losing my son to such a stupid idea of an adventure. Please ppl don't ever think about going down on something so tiny and risky like that sub.
@@ericakaupa6245 My mom would have told my dad it’s too dangerous, and he would have listened. Even if he insisted on going, there is NO WAY my mom would let my brother go!! I’m shocked the mother allowed them BOTH to go! Unless it was a super sexist home, where she had no voice. But I would think in most families, the wife would have prevented it. Because women are usually more prone to worry, and more safety conscious. Especially when it comes to protecting her baby!! Anyway, heartbreaking for the mother and sister 💔💔
Honestly cannot imagine how the 19 year old felt when things rapidly started going wrong. He was apprehensive to even get into the sub. How a man can put his son into this dangerous situation I just do not understand.
We don't know but more than likely nothing was noticeable it was just black they wouldn't of heard a noise but still I'm sure if he was scared before hand he probably still was inside so you're still kinda right
Never mind actually I just seen James Cameron say they dropped the weight belts and were coming up indicating they were having problems and probably hearing the hull cracking which would be terrifying
It is horrifyingly haunting to hear that the kid not only didn't want to go, but he was also terrified of going. Makes me both angry and sad, it's so unfair on so many levels. May they all rest in peace.
Do you think the son only went because it was Fathers day or do you think the Father may have threatened his inheritance if he didn't go? Maybe I'm judgemental but I feel like rich people threaten their kids inheritance if they don't do what they say. I also don't know if the mother, aunt, or any relatives know if the 19 year was threatened over his inheritance or not. I do believe that the Father and Son duo were and if there's an after-life still Muslims. Would Muslims just want to please their parents or was it something more like if you don't go you aren't getting your inheritance. I don't know why I'm so stuck up on this but I just feel like rich people have a way at getting their children to do things when they threaten to take money away.

David Lochridge, an engineer and submarine pilot, claimed in his counterclaim against OceanGate that he was hired in 2015 by the Everett, Washington, company to ensure the safety of all crew and clients during the submersible and surface operations of the vessel called Titan. But when he expressed concerns about the design and testing of the minisub's hull, he said he was terminated by the company.
This should be a sign to leave the Titanic alone. It’s people’s graveyard, and we should respect that. Rip to all those who died on the Titanic & those on the submarine.
I think there shouldn't be tours and money involved yes; but researchers who visit it's site down there to check it's conditions and only studying it should be fine, imo.
There are lawyers saying the waivers can be part of a lawsuit because it how thoses with the bad "technology" along with the repeated other problems reported as well can be a lawsuit.
From the last message sent from the vessel, we know it didn't suddenly implode without warning. He sent a message saying they were dropping weights to resurface, but didn't say what the emergency was. There's alot of unknowns on how carbon fiber reacts when it starts failing at those depths, because nobody has ever been foolish enough to use it for a sub, aside from this guy. It's all speculation and I could be wrong, but I think it either sprung a pinhole leak and started spewing high pressure water, or part of the hull started pressing in at a weak spot. The Brit he fired, said there were stress cracks, so it probably started failing in that spot. He was probably frantically trying to resurface to no avail. If we knew the precise time the navy sensors detected the implosion and the time of the last message, we can at least know how long it took to implode after he started having problems. Then again, my scenario could be wrong. Someone said the thrusters could have gotten stuck, forcing the sub down too fast, which would have imploded it. He was using those cheesy wireless video game controllers, that have a history of failing. Just like in the video games, it's game over if the control messes up.
That's crazy... if the composite shell was cracking and popping that would be the most terrifying experience ever... nowhere you can go and nothing you can do to stop it... yikes
Yeah, I have a bad feeling the 5 people onboard knew something was happening, or at least the pilot did. I do think once it happened it was instantaneous though, but there probably was a few seconds or even minutes of terror as they tried to resurface.
I think you're right. They sent a distress signal so something definitely happened. They knew they were in trouble. Even a pinhole leak could cut someone in half or quickly evolve into loss of hull integrity and implosion.
Excuse my ignorance, and maybe I shouldn't even mention it, idk, but I'm a tad confused about the 19-year-old and his father because from the beginning the boys' aunt has stated that she remembers him being very nervous and correct me if I'm wrong, but I've even heard her describing him as being "terrified," and that he only went with his father on the trip to please his father because it was father's day. Then, in a recent interview with the mother and wife of the father/son duo, she states that she was originally supposed to be on the Titian, but she gave, "Gave the seat to her son because he really wanted to go." It doesn't really matter at the end of the day, I suppose because she lost two of her loved ones and other families lost their loved ones and it's all just very tragic, but something about the testimony the mother gave doesn't sit well with me for some reason. Anyone else get that vibe? No?
A good lawyer can always argue that the consent was flawed in the first place for gross negligence. But I doubt that Ocean Gate will survive long enough to see a trial. And since the CEO went down with the ship, he can't be charged with manslaughter. That being said, I wonder if the passengers all had personal life insurance. If so, then that's pretty much the only compensation that the estate would receive. This being a commercial operation, Ocean Gate should have insurance covering their employees and clients. But in this case, it's most unlikely. Sometimes, the richest people can make the dumbest mistakes.
What’s been bothering me from the very first day is that they allowed someone under 21 to go on this endeavor. I feel so bad for that 19-year-old and his family. Then to find out that he never wanted to go, it just made me even sadder
What is age of majority in Pakistan? In the US, 18- 20 year olds.....and sometimes 17, can join the military, pledge an Oath to the Constitution and DIE, with their brains and guts hanging out, in Iraq and Afghanistan. What is this hang up all over ADULTS aged 18-20????? You people treat them like china dolls or fragile antique china. They are ADULTS. They can sign contracts, get married, have kids and decide their own destiny without some legislation, saying that they can't.
I saw an interview with his mom and she said she was supposed to go, but she gave up her seat so her son could go because he really wanted to. He wasn’t “scared to death” or he would’ve just let his mom go. People just say he was scared to add to an already tragic story. They don’t realize that it unfairly paints his dad in a bad light and makes it seem like he pressured his son to go when that is not the case. Just report the truth- it’s sad enough on its own without people spinning extra stories to try and make it worse.
Agreed 100 percent. Fox news is a racist channel. The main intent of his channel is to spread hatered and invite racial tension. I have blocked these dumb channel.
There is so much wrong with this "implosion simulation". The titanium end caps and the fairing (tail end) were shot off which is consistent with the wreckage. What likely happened is that because of cyclical pressure fatigue causing weakening of the carbon fiber pressure vessel and due to dissimilar materials being attached, the carbon fiber laminate cracked, causing the implosion. The crew didn't even know what happened as the implosion was faster than their nervous system reaction (150 to 300 milliseconds). It was a very merciful death compared with being stuck on the bottom and dying from carbon dioxide poisoning or oxygen running out. From a physics and engineering perspective, we can discuss the flexural modulus or resistance to bending of the materials: Titanium is 100 and very resistant while carbon fiber ranges from 20-30+. Additionally, constant pressure cycling from 300+ atmospheres to 1 atmosphere (surface of the ocean) and multiple trips to the Titanic over the last two years caused fatigue: cracks, de-lamination, and other structural damage which culminated in the implosion last Sunday.
Where are they getting these stories that the kid was terrified to go? His own Mom said he was excited to go, and that he had planned on breaking a worlds record with his rubiks cube underwater. Leave it to the media to try and "spice" things up..😒
@@lolitis01 He was the youngest and he was afraid to go. That's why I'm putting the emphasis on him. Everyone else should have known better than to put this young mans life in danger like that.
A new interview with the mother of the child who died told the opposite of what Fox is claiming. She told that he was excited and overwhelmed at the opportunity to go with his father, that it was originally going to be the mother but he wanted to take her place. Please don't spread lies about this poor kids death, its unfair.
Reminds me of the Challenger explosion in 1985 with the "o" ring which was an issue before and 'they' knew it was a weak point. I feel for that poor young kid on there. His intuition was strong and told him NOT to get on -- but he gave in to his father's coaxing. We must ALWAYS listen to our gut feeling because that is telling us the truth about something.
Not his father fault, but the 19 old man. He wanted to go in, he went it. If he didn't he wouldn't. Drop the drugs you are intaking, it doesn't suit you.
Why did they not mention that they dropped their ballast. Which means they Knew they were in trouble, James Cameron mentioned this from the information inside the community that was received. Sure, the death was "instant", however, they knew they were in trouble.
There's a video from a dude in MX from 10-11 months ago of him boarding this sub. They experienced problems down there (comms) and were trying to resurface, but ran into one more problem. Everyone was calm. Nobody cared. P.H. was there. As they were going up, things were restored and they went back down to see the Titanic. The man also explains how the people before his trip were down there 27 hours. He then says your time varies. They tell you it's 4 hrs watching the Titanic but that sometimes u never see it bc it's tough to find and/or you can encounter problems and the company aborts mission. All in all I think it was common to lose comms and to try to resurface. That said, idk if in this last trip they heard the delamination taking place as Cameron stated they might have which probably made the experts nervous...and relayed it to those in the vessel, but idk.
The fact that Oceansgate privately had know that Sunday that the sub imploded immediately after comms and tracking were both lost simultaneously and shared that fact with the Navy,....yet, while publicly misleading the public for four days is the real tragedy here. The families were hanging on to false hope for days until Thursday when Wood's Hole Oceanographic Institute finally confirmed what was known all along on Sunday by traveling to Titan's last known position and then descending straight to the bottom where Titan's wreckage was found,......exactly where they expected to find it.
True the mother ship and crew knew from the very beginning and even those who work in oceanography field knew imploding is the main reason when they especially knew the hull was made up of carbon fibers. So extending it to 4 days was really cruel and so tragic. Water pressure is a serious matter to be taken into account first for making a submersible or submarines, they just played it all way to end up like this.
That is exactly how I thought it happened. The front and tail were made of titanium. The pressure chamber was carbon. The two ends of the sub crushed it you do when you step on an aluminum can.
The titanium end caps are all that's left of the pressure vessel... the cylinder is just gone apparently probably in a million pieces. The electronics in the fairing outside the pressure vessel seems okay so they might be able to pull data and see how it happened exactly. The hull had stress monitoring system and it likely sounded the alarm as it's now all but confirmed that they dropped ballast, began an emergency ascent and then imploded. They knew it. The hull must have made some ungodly sounds before giving way and then yeah... 30 milliseconds. I thought 10 but they must've run the numbers.
Thank you for this. I kept hearing that an implosion is the opposite of an explosion but I couldn't imagine how that looked. Thank you Brad Perry for making this.
I believe it's the same as holding an empty can of soda or water bottle in the center and squeezing it. Or squeeze an egg. They were crushed and torn apart. Deep sea creatures ate up their remains.
@@TampaAriesno! All of them had the doors to the staircase inside Titanic opened and everyone was in there clapping and welcoming them to the Titanic family. Didn’t you see the movie?
BUT, they had already communicated they were having problems and had dropped ballast to ascend, so they DID know there was a problem 🙄 😥 then.....💥 Bet there were some WEIRD noises before it failed....... Either, the tube to end cap bond failed, the tube itself failed, or the door glass failed as reported, one rear end cap is filled with carbon fibre debris,
not true. listen to James Cameron, someone who actually knows what he's talking about. He said they would have heard it coming and that's why they dropped the ballasts and tried to ascend.
It breaks my heart for these passengers and especially the young man whom already had a premonition something didn’t feel right….. RIP and prayers for the families
Personally i think the Titanic site should be regarded as a grave site. Only to be studied by legitimate research teams with the appropriate permission. Definitely not a "tourist attraction ".. I know the wreck is in international waters...but inlight of this tragedy some legislation needs to be set in motion . RIP to those explorers ❤😢
Even with signing waivers, the guy knew he was not doing any real safety/testing with that death trap after each dive. Some text messages of his have been exposed where he comes off as a desperate used car salesman promising things like its safer than crossing the street.. He needed their $$$$ to fund his madness because the trip out there cost over a million in just the fuel/expenses for the mother ship. Without the rich folks he manages to lure into risking their lives he would never be able to use his little toy.
I feel soo heartbroken for the 19 year old. But what’s more sad about this is he didn’t even wanna go but did it for his dad 😢 this whole story is just making it hard to swallow 😔
I don’t understand the interest in spending so much money to see a gravesite /wreckage with so many obvious life risks. Just Bc you can, doesn’t mean you should. Use common sense. If they died this way, at least it was quick and painless. I’m sorry for the families 😢
Some people have different aspirations in life (exploration/science) and are willing to accept high risk. But deep ocean exploration is probably the most dangerous exploration you could do and Ocean Gate took too many loopholes which made the risk ridiculous (no certification...).
There's is nothing wrong with wanting to see the Titanic wreckage....the problem here is that they completely trusted the company that was going to take them there...unaware that there were shortcut taken by the company...James Cameron went deeper than that but did it with the proper vessel
The thing that bothers me the most with this whole ordeal is hearing the youngest of them all didn't want to go. But he went to please his father. We have to teach our kids how to listen to their own instincts. That young man may still be alive.😢😢
i'd have declined the moment i learned that they used carbon-fiber for the hull..... Yes Carbon Fiber can be strong, yes it can be stiff, yes it can hold up to pressure... but it cracks, it shatters, it has no 'give' once its set, the moment it does give it completely breaks... thats NOT something you want as your main hull when your talking that much brute force being applied to something where the 'instant' even the smallest crack appears, everything gives.
@@CarsCatAliensThey are not 2 miles deep underwater. Making money of visiting death sites is blood lust tourism and feeds people’s fascination on the suffering of others for profit.
also there is one thing, it should be investigated, I think those tourists were deceived to the moment they saw the sub, how crappy it was, but it was too hard for them to say no, when they were so close to their goal finally, like some kind of a psychological pressure and deception that things are safe, even when there were problems all the time
Carbon fibre has _tensile_ strength, but the forces from water pressure acting on the Titan were _compressive._ It is likely that the binder alone gave the hull its compressive strength with fibre holding it together to prevent cracking. The junction of the carbon fibre, titanium and the glue that bonded them was a weak point with different rates of expansion and contraction. Glue that is elastic at room temperature is likely brittle at near freezing temperatures. These materials were bound to detach from one another. What is surprising is not that the vessel failed, but that it managed to remain intact for as long as it did.
There is nothing fundamentally wrong with a cylinder design with heme-spherical ends, although in the submersible it was employed in a situation that is the reverse of the gas container concept under which it evolved, exerting pressure outward. That will likely be the shape of future crafts, not spherical designs. Had the hull of this vessel been constructed of a single material, titanium, properly analyzed as to the forces acting upon it, with welded joints, this craft might have successfully completed this and many other trips to the ocean floor.
Because a vacuum is definitive and pressure unlimited, in .31 milliseconds the temperature in the sub was hotter then surface of the sun and all calcium liquefied. It would be like being instantly teleported to the inside of a tank of liquid oxygen and it exploded. There's nothing left..
"They died doing what they loved"...what a BS statement. They died because they ignored or didn't understand the huge risk they were taking, in an experimental vessel that looked like it was built in a garage. No certification, "we're too good" company mentality, "paperwork will only slow down innovation", lying about the vessel's seaworthiness and credentials. Imho this was criminal. These poor people just had no appreciation of the suicide-level risk.
Always trust your gut, one day i was hiking something strange felt like something was watching me, i felt like heading back to the car, next thing I’ve noticed a mountain lion was getting close to me without realizing it.
Indeed, there appears to be grounds for a lawsuit because of facts not disclosed to the participants ... such as the fact that the window was dive rated to only 1300 meters on a dive that took them down to almost 4000 meters. There are also lies or misstatements as to the nature of the specific manufacturing process used in putting together the carbon fiber matrix. And there was the willful withholding of information: warnings from other deep sea experts. However, I believe the waiver conditions regarding JURISDICTION will remain enforceable. One of the conditions stipulated in the waiver prescribed that the lawsuit must be filed in The Bahamas. (I'm not sure what the ramifications are, but apparently there must be something about The Bahamas that favors the corporation.) And even if the plaintiffs should happen to win the case, Oceangate was careful to set up the company as separate entities. Collecting any monetary damages from the main corporation itself is highly unlikely. Notwithstanding monetary damages, the main corporation has suffered a substantial loss of reputation and it is questionable whether it will ever recover.
That recreation is cartoonish. The initial implosion would have lasted about one or two frames of the video, possibly accompanied by a flash as any atmospheric gases inside the sub - and _people_ - ignited under a pressure increase of 180 or so million pounds within a few milliseconds. Much of the debris wound up blown inside one of the hemispherical titanium end caps, according to Cameron.
She was estranged from her brother/relatives (because he/they didn't approve of her using cannabis for a chronic ailment she has) but she was close to her nephew, I heard her say in an interview.
Look how nature and the world works. Absolutely terrifying. If there are any future expeditions to the titanic; guaranteed there will also be a note to, “this is also where the titan submersible disaster happened”
The waivers are unlikely to hold up in court. The company clearly minimized the risk and did not share the warnings that they had received regarding the technology that they were using.
a video on their channel, they go over "safety" and the waiver is the one with the journalist that went he literally broke it down how many ways things can go wrong. However. Im not going to shame any of these victims. They loved exploration and the ocean. perhaps not so much the teen, but they were exploring in an experimental sub and knew all of the risks. However, thats not to say what can happen to the company and the lawsuits it may endure because of this. Because of the fact it was brought to attention twice and each time was paid off, and safety measures were ignored... The waiver wont mean anything. IF they can prove their was little to no safety protocol or additions to correct the problems of safety. Billionaires or not they were "trained" to manage the controls of the sub, but the fact it imploded, and theirs been concerns raised over the fact it can very well implode. I see ocean gate being shut down. The waivers might protect company from being sued by each family but theirs no way they wont shut this experimental sub project down after this.
Is there video footage of the day they started their journey into the Titan?? Why does everything say the son was scared? An interview today with his mom said he was excited to go, and that's why his mom gave her seat to him.

That's what have woken me up like how guy that didn't end up going. Crazy to think when they were lowered into the water that was the last time they were going to be above the surface 😞
This is what happens when you cut corners. My brother told me that one of the engineers at the place in his internship skipped the safety protocols and next thing ya know he was electrocuted and fried to death. There's a reason for every safety rule out there.

He obviously didn't believe anything could go wrong. The owner is at fault. The fact he put his neck on the line must've given them some faith in the sub.
People sign these waivers with such little knowledge. If they knew that crush depth decreased with each dive, and how much pressure would be on the craft, along with how many dives this sub had made as well as the actual depth they were diving would they still have signed that waiver and gone on the dive? I bet not.
@@shirleyberry7550 You don't think the company taking your life into their hands shouldn't make an effort to be as transparent as possible? I agree with you. I didn't know much about the titanic until I watched Cameron's movie. Since then I've done research and watched documentaries on it. Its fascinating and haunting at the same time and it has some sort of pull towards it. What scares me the most is I'm putting myself in the shoes of the tourists who died because I feel if I had the money I would have gone. Its mainly the fault of the entertainment industry for glamourrising it.
It had manual backup controls
Hope they knew Jesus 🤟...
No?
Waivers don’t prevent a lawsuit if gross negligence happens which seems to be the case here the more we discover.
Exactly
Hope they knew Jesus 🤟..☠️
A good lawyer can always argue that the consent was flawed in the first place for gross negligence. But I doubt that Ocean Gate will survive long enough to see a trial. And since the CEO went down with the ship, he can't be charged with manslaughter. That being said, I wonder if the passengers all had personal life insurance. If so, then that's pretty much the only compensation that the estate would receive. This being a commercial operation, Ocean Gate should have insurance covering their employees and clients. But in this case, it's most unlikely. Sometimes, the richest people can make the dumbest mistakes.

Yes Carbon Fiber can be strong, yes it can be stiff, yes it can hold up to pressure... but it cracks, it shatters, it has no 'give' once its set, the moment it does give it completely breaks... thats NOT something you want as your main hull when your talking that much brute force being applied to something where the 'instant' even the smallest crack appears, everything gives.

also there is one thing, it should be investigated, I think those tourists were deceived to the moment they saw the sub, how crappy it was, but it was too hard for them to say no, when they were so close to their goal finally, like some kind of a psychological pressure and deception that things are safe, even when there were problems all the time
Who is saying the teen was scared? If it’s not a “close” friend or family member, I’m calling bs on that story.
What about the bodies? Did they just melt?

"They died doing what they loved"...what a BS statement. They died because they ignored or didn't understand the huge risk they were taking, in an experimental vessel that looked like it was built in a garage. No certification, "we're too good" company mentality, "paperwork will only slow down innovation", lying about the vessel's seaworthiness and credentials. Imho this was criminal. These poor people just had no appreciation of the suicide-level risk.
A tremendous amount of F'ing around resulted in a tremendous amount of finding out.
Always trust your gut, one day i was hiking something strange felt like something was watching me, i felt like heading back to the car, next thing I’ve noticed a mountain lion was getting close to me without realizing it.
Did you shoot it?
A waiver Does NOT protect a company from lawsuits when its deliberate negligence!!
(I'm not sure what the ramifications are, but apparently there must be something about The Bahamas that favors the corporation.)
And even if the plaintiffs should happen to win the case, Oceangate was careful to set up the company as separate entities. Collecting any monetary damages from the main corporation itself is highly unlikely. Notwithstanding monetary damages, the main corporation has suffered a substantial loss of reputation and it is questionable whether it will ever recover.
Watching the recreation is absolutely chilling. Prayers to all the families of those who perished.
Hope they knew Jesus 🤟....

The waivers are unlikely to hold up in court. The company clearly minimized the risk and did not share the warnings that they had received regarding the technology that they were using.
They apparently said many times that death can occur as a result of any unexpected and even minor issue. That’s not holding much back

@@OoMASEoO I agree it’s awful, but it was successfully done before.
a video on their channel, they go over "safety" and the waiver is the one with the journalist that went he literally broke it down how many ways things can go wrong.
There probably will be very little money to recover, and the lawyers will take most of that.
Is there video footage of the day they started their journey into the Titan?? Why does everything say the son was scared? An interview today with his mom said he was excited to go, and that's why his mom gave her seat to him.

The entertainment industry glamorized the Titanic with an epic emotional movie, which still attracts viewers in to an ongoing fascination with this sad and terrible event that happened so long ago before most of us were even born.
I mean hundreds and thousands of ships have sank and millions have lost their lives in the sea yet there's so much exposure of the titanic disaster. It's as if only the titanic deaths matter. Like thei families have said let them rest and leave the ship alone.

@@valerierodger I'm saying that regardless of how mainstream it was before, the movie blew it up even bigger. Think about how movies affect the viewer.
