    I collected stamps as a kid and have 1000s of Victorian stamps. High values, worth a fair bit of “cash” now. I started collecting bullion coins a few years ago and I’m rapidly moving into collecting Queen Victorian Sovs but looking at half’s. There are as many varieties in these as there are stamps. I find these videos very interesting and useful. Thank you for the time to make them

    Excellent collection of sovereigns! Always a pleasure seeing them. I'm pausing to read as much as I can on the Jubilee Head varieties.

    Some 300+ different sovereigns, plus duplicates can add enjoyment, value and inflation proofing to one's savings.
    And that's financial advice.

    Every week, I usually “luxuriate” in this “endless variety” of Victoria shield sovereign video. It’s probably one of your top videos IMO. Now that I purchased an 1855 Raised WW sovereign, your comments on the one in this clip stands out. You’re right about Marsh listing it as R5 & I’m hoping that is the case. As this is one of my fave vids, I want to see the results video for these & the previous shield sovereign entries but can’t seem to track it down. Any hints as to which clip I should watch?

    I would love to have pristine shields and G&D, some of mine are close but only 1 has significant wear on Victoria's head.

  • @harryzero1566
    @harryzero1566 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love sovereigns, not fussed about grading by third parties, iv just bought 3 of the 4 shields on offer, the rejected one was too worn and it would have been a duplicate anyway.

    Excellent video, Numi!!! Hahahaha, how great it is to luxuriate in 17 minutes of gold Sovereigns! I really want to have at least ONE Sovereign, and seeing this video my wish list now has expanded to the Victoria 3 different heads. Thanks for the beautiful show, and for the education. Have a great week. Take care, my friend. Are you at home in the UK, or vacationing in your Florida home?

    Excellent video. All these Sovereigns must make your head spin. I wonder if rarity would affect the grading of the coin, possibly giving it a slight advantage.

    • @Numistacker
      @Numistacker  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps but with NGC they dont necessarily deal with varieties that well and just put the S number

    @robertw9677 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    As I think you suggested on one of your vids I deceived to only buy scarce or rarer and in one of your vids You said watch for 1858 or 1859 , so to follow another of your ideas just made an offer on a 1858 shield back hope I get it i for sure have the bug because of you thanks numis

    Numistacker: thanks for another great video, I am one of your American subscribers. I recently got my first Sovereign in a trade and NGC has little information on it as to rarity. I have an 1825 bald head GIV Sovereign. Could you tell be what Marsh says as to the rarity? Thanking you in advance. Mel

    Hi, thank you very much for your reply to my question about East India Sovereign. I did buy the 2019 East India Sovereign to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Queen Victoria. I think it looks beautiful and the packaging stunning. It is the shield Sovereign and the first(apparently)
    Sovereign ever made by EIC. As I am fairly new to collecting can you or anyone on this forum tell me why you messaged me ‘probably no’. Does this cover just this coin or any EIC coins. Would so much appreciate advice. I love your videos and have some of the Sovereigns you rate but to coin a Westlife song I am really ‘flying without wings’ and would really appreciate your comment as to why I should not keep(on approval at the moment) this EIC Sovereign?

    • @Numistacker
      @Numistacker  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have bought some of the trade dollars all depends on sentiment as time goes forward. I flew without wings at the beginning and tastes develop. The question I ask myself is when I come to sell will 10 people want what I have so badly the premium will be there?
