Who would've though that concealed inside a scrapped oak doorframe there was a beautiful work of art waiting to be released by a true craftsman. And those drawer fronts, a work of art in themselves,
I am sure when Jason started cutting the tiny inserts for the draw fronts he was clean shaven, and on finishing the last draw he had four days growth. This man has the patience of a saint.
I know absolutely nothing about woodworking, so for me this is performance art at the highest level. To watch scrap wood turn into objects of usefulness and beauty is joyous, calming, and heartwarming in equal measure. This tapestry threads box is exquisite. Your wife (or whoever this has been made for) is a very lucky woman to own such a lovely thing.
I didn’t read the title as I was SO excited to watch his new creation. Half way thru I mused that this would be excellent for embroidery threads or similar. I am once agn gobsmacked 🥰
I have one ordered for my embroidery threads but I somehow doubt I will get it any time soon. I suppose I cannot complain too much as I only asked a month ago. Maybe the request needs to be in writing with a time and day for it to be completed. , eh hubby?
The craftsmanship is amazing, but it's the sounds of the sandpaper, the squeak of the wood as the screw goes in, the shaving sound of the plane that make so much the video. Sounds that bring back such great memories.
Came across this channel purely by chance, and now it's one of my favourite channels to watch. It's inspiring to see the skills and imagination of a true craftsman at work.
Stop making such wonderful items... we are running out of compliments! :D This is seriously beautiful... Thank you so much for sharing! In the hands of a Master...nothing is ever 'garbage!' There's a lesson somewhere in this....
You are Sir the very greatest antidote to the throw away society. With more like you global warming would be less of a problem. Added to this your superb craftsmanship requires my sincere admiration and I hope that of many others
This project makes the "Epic" part of your channel name seem like a massive understatement! Every new detail you added to the front of those drawers just blew my mind! Your friend may not get much crafting done for a while. They'll be too busy staring in awe at the piece of art their supplies are stashed in!
I always say you are an enigma. A master with all the power tools and aparantly well off to afford to buy the raw materials, but chose to collect scraps and turn them new. Sometimes I feel you are slowing down time to enjoy whatever you have left. Beautiful. Could be a family hairloom Great job .... again
What joy to watch this. It was lovely enough before he added the frames. Then the checkered inner frames! Then the multi colored rumble pieces. And the half moon handles as the final elegant touch. What an old school cabinet maker.
It always amazes me how you take stuff others would throw on the burn pile and make the most beautiful, intricate works of art. I always know watching is going to be a good time!
Stunning talent/craftsmanship as ever. Please never change the format. The sounds of the workshop from the sawing to the drilling, persuasion of the mallet to the blowing of sawdust and a litany of other subtleties are all that is required. It is your trademark. It works brilliantly and beautifully. Never lose it! My thanks.
I swear lol, the amount of time I am like, " on thats a nice design... Oh, therre is more.. oh... you are adding more????" lol just wow. Always impressed
awesome ! from waste to gold with hands and handtools ! this is woodworking ! this is for your wife ! your wife will be very happy about this toolchest ! the details a very nice , made by hand ! Today, hardly anyone can do that anymore ! you are one at the last mohicans .....
These drawers were fabulous, then you added the thin strips to the front and took it to the next level and some!! As an embroiderer and someone who long ago learnt the basics of woodworking I very much appreciate the work and effort you have gone to make this so very special. I love it and I wish I had something as beautiful to store all my embroidery silks in.
I can't count the number of times I've thought, he can't top that. And every time there is a new video I know I was wrong. 👌 Love watching your videos with all the quiet woodworking sounds, very relaxing. 🙂
Stone me! I always fall asleep watching your videos. At least three times before I can watch each part. Hats off to you for creating amazing and wonderful things. My younger brother is a master carpenter, I helped him a lot in the past, but I never thought that the sound of a circular saw or a planer could be so soothing. :) I'm waiting for the next part, until then I wish you all the best! Tazi is from Hungary.
The creativity and craftsmanship is insane, but can we talk about the amount of math involved !? That must take as much time as all the building. And it’s never even a millimeter off!
Wow. The patience that this must have taken to build is astonishing. As others have said this goes beyond mere woodworking and has become art. A joy to watch you create it. Thanks for posting.
You must love your wife so very much to keep creating such beautiful, ornate and usefull objects to aid her with her hobbies. Even though it was made with the cr@piest of wood I have ever seen you use, it was transformed into the most amazing piece of art yet. I can see your work being talked about in years to come like we talk about "Sheridon", "Chesterfield", "Windsor" or "Chippendale".
I appreciate that as a content creator, you use safe practices. Woodworking is supposed to be calming and meditative but I'm usually on edge while watching other woodworking channels. I have too many woodworking friends that have missing fingers, have had long hair entangled in machinery and ect. I was cutting out a floor with a circular saw while barefoot when i was younger and it binded then the kickback took off my big toe just behind the nail. While I'm not very smart, I do learn from my mistakes. I wish that i learned from others though
I'd open and close the drawers a hundred times just to admire the beautiful threads in their beautiful container and never get any tapestry done if this was in my art space :) The fronts of those drawers are incredible. Such satisfaction as you pushed the last pieces of border perfectly into place to complete the pattern.
What a lucky friend! This is so beautiful, it'll become a family heirloom and treasured for a long time. I love your imagination and attention to detail. I would love to get into woodworking because I love wood, but I can't even cut a straight line. Thank you for sharing such beauty and perfection.
I watch your videos in awed silence, leaning in, absorbed in your calmness and masterful work. It's like gently flowing towards something stunningly beautiful
This takes me back to my childhood listening to the sounds in my dads workshop. Tapping, sawing, carving, routing. All done with hand tools. What I wouldn’t give to hear him again.
Another beautiful piece of functional art. That telephone box is frigging awesome. Methinks your next project should be a TARDIS. Just think of how much stuff you could store in that :)
Yes!!!! A new Video!!! I've been playing your whole Catalog on Repeat for days now....probably could recite the steps by memory at this point, but they are just amazing pieces of art and inspiring to me and the vids are also so relaxing to listen to and watch. Thanks Jason!!!!!!
Exquisite. As I've got older I've begun to realise that gifts where the giver has given time and effort to create them are much more valuable than where the input is financial. Especially if the giver is financially comfortable. Thanks for sharing 😊
A really beautiful set of drawers. I used my old front door frame to make a Shoji lamp. It's incredibly rewarding to recycle old wood for a new project. And external door frames are an excellent source of hardwood. 🙂
Easily got my thumbs up! No stupid music, got to hear the actual sounds of the tools and processes, and just an overall down-to-earth video. Thanks for sharing :o)
Oh, how my father, an incredible carpenter and joiner, much like yourself, would have loved to have been around to see you do these things with hand tools and incredible skill.
Ever since I came across your channel I have not stopped watching it. Your artistry is like a rags to riches with each piece you make. You are like a sculptor waiting for the artist to chisel what is hidden in the stone before him/her. In your case it is wood. Thank you so much for the joy you bring with every creation you bring forth for everyone to enjoy.
Fantastic as usual but the level of detail and workmanship is outstanding. By far the best wood working videos on TH-cam with no gimmicks or super expensive machines. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your content, Jason. I love your creative process and nearly always learn a couple new tricks or ways to solve a problem. Your videos are such a joy to watch and I patiently look forward to each new creation. Thanks!

Immer wieder erstaunlich und fantastisch was du zauberst.
OK, I give up. I have simply run out of superlatives that adequately express my admiration for your skill, talent and endless patience. Just know Jason that I shall continue to watch whatever project you undertake next and will, without doubt, be captivated and impressed beyond words.
So many people complain on other channels about having expensive tools to be able to do the work at hand, this guy shows it’s not true, yes he has those expensive tools but more often than not he doesn’t use them, this is what I like about him and his videos. Just LOVE this piece of furniture. Made with so much patience and love for woodworking. It's healing so see this made. Such Joy. Thank you for sharing!
What blows my mind isn’t the end result but the process and how much patience you have. I just couldn’t bring myself to do such tedious repetitive work.
Stunning work as always. I'd love to spend a good while in your shop learning, watching, and having a cup of coffee or tea to go with a good conversation.
I wish I had a workspace and the amount of tools you have, I love to create with wood and to have what you have would be a joy Love your work, you’re the pallet scrap master
Couldn't miss that headline, "Searching for the holeshot." Ah, yes - as a former moto-x-er that is music to my ears. I love this video & it dropped my blood pressure just watching it (better than a sedative). I really appreciate your skill, my friend. This is fantastic. Also, your workshop brings tears of joy to my eyes!

WOW! You are amazing!
The most underrated and inherently eclectic artist on TH-cam
I agree, a very unknown talent.
Totally agree...
I could not have put it better myself.
Craftsman, not artist.

Jason, you never, NEVER fail to prove the "Epic" in this channels name!
Stunning peace of art!
Thanks very much :)
I always just get hypnotized watching you❤❤❤❤❤
Mastery! Phenomenal! Stunning!❤❤❤
Another spectacular build. No router or templates - just a man, an idea, and his hand tools. You, sir, are an incredibly talented true woodworker ❤
Thanks very much :)
The craftsmanship is amazing, but it's the sounds of the sandpaper, the squeak of the wood as the screw goes in, the shaving sound of the plane that make so much the video. Sounds that bring back such great memories.
That's gorgeous. Don't know what I'm more jealous of - the finished project, the "hammer of Thor" or that bank of wooden filing cabinets.
Why do your videos make me so happy? Thank you for this one. I also appreciate you "liking" comments. Bravo.
I feel the same.
Yes, plus I want donuts. 😂
I love that his creativity is also facilitating his wife’s creative endeavors. What a lovely relationship
