One minute you think you're a pretty good woodworker, the next you see the work and admire this guy making a great box out of almost firewood. Great job sir, and very inspiring!
Honestly, are there enough descriptions in a thesaurus to aptly title the level of skill this man possesses. I'm absolutely in awe of his creativity and the perfection of these projects he undertakes with apparent ease. The guy is next level. Keep sharing your videos, I'm just so spellbound with the content.
All the way through I was asking myself, why has he left the box joints protruding? And then he only goes and puts brass squares in them...Genius. Love watching this channel.
Your chanel truely is a blessing, Jason. Not only for your skill and patience but also for the lack of attention-seeking. No blasting music, no fancy intro, no begging for subscription. Just the pure beauty of creating masterpieces from scratch. A concept that seems to work for a lot of viewers. Almost at 30k views not even 24h after upload. Just as most of us grabbing a drink and finding some quiet place to watch your work, I hope you do the same when browsing through the hundrets of comments of appreciation and praise. Thanks for your inspiration Jason!
Lol. You got me! There was I thinking Mr meticulous was losing his touch with the poorly fitting corners, then of course your precision engineered brass plates saved the day! Another beautifully designed and crafted marvel. Thank you and bless you.
Hi, Jason. I've just been binging your entire catalogue AGAIN, as whenever I need to relax, your fabulously designed, detailed, patient, precision and spectacular work is my first 'go-to'. For some reason, I don't appear to have commented on this before, but it sure must be the perfect gift for your beloved wife. I bet she's over the moon with it, and I also bet you're a very happy and loving couple. I'm sure you don't remember me, especially as I keep changing my tag (moniker or whatever it's called), but I somehow think of you as the friend I've never met (platonically LOL). All the best, Ray.
That was fantastic work, Jason. Well done. Very nice finish, and the interior looks quite regal. Pretty the Missus loved it. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Beautiful piece of work. This is the sort of video I like. No music, no unnecessary chatting just the sound of the work shop and straight forward filming without Hollywood antics.
In this world of mass produced items, it is refreshing to watch a craftsman create something so amazing by hand from reused materials. Fantastic job! I'm sure Mrs. Upcycling loves her gift.
Just when you think Jason has once again up cycled yet another masterpiece he only goes and does brass inlay to make it even better. WTF Jason give us mere mortals a fighting chance please.
OMG!! How lovely it would be to receive a jewelry box from a loved one BUT to receive something this BEAUTIFUL and handmade would be so much more wonderful! This box is AMAZING and will be loved forever! Its truly a phenominal gift!❤❤ I have just subscribed to your channel!
You truly love what you're doing! it fills my heart with joy to watch you enjoying yourself while making such things of beauty! Also, I am so jealous of your beautiful handplanes. I wouldn't use powertools either if I had such beautiful tools! Thank you so much for your beautiful video's ❤
I remember making my first tackle box for fishing like this... Well i say "like this" but this is a superb box. Another quality product from the silent one. Keep 'em going Jason. Doug.
oh my God, such a wonderful casket. I am absolutely blown away by this masterpiece. The video alone is a masterpiece and underlines the skill of a master craftsman.
That's a marvelous jewelry ✨️ box! I'm sure Mrs. Epic will be overjoyed with her gift. I wanted to tell you how much I admire your endeavors and your clean, well set-up workshop. You are a good example of keeping a safe and tidy working environment 👍 Most Excellent!
This gentleman makes things to the mm precision at its best. Beautiful present for the wife maybe a lamb roast coming your way and a candle lit dinner well deserved too.
It's so good to see a true craftsmen at work. Jason you must love your wife very much. This looks like a family heirloom in the making. And I've just subscribed.
As always, fantastic. I feel kinship, having done a similar, but much more utilitarian, box for my shop. (Minus the decorative interior, that is. It holds boxes of nails and screws.)
Votre travail est minutieux et impeccable… vous êtes un artiste passionné tellement créatif et talentueux à regarder que ça devient une thérapie 😊😃😍 !!! Merci 🙏🏼
To be able to make such a beautiful piece for an important friend from discarded wood, which some say is only good for making fire, is highly appreciated because you created such a work by using your skills, techniques and ideas. you have done As a carpenter, I have enjoyed your work very much 🤍
The level of planning and detail is amazing. The copper accents, the lovely blue velvet, detailed measurements and the Cookie Crisp cardboard liner 😂. Charming and well done!
Hi Jason, whilst you have created another "magical" piece of beauty - which I'm sure your wife will get to enjoy for many years - I have to say that tonight, I took the time out of my crazy schedule to just immerse myself in the tranquility of watching you create.. Watching you brought "stillness" to mind, so thank you for that! As always Jason, thanks and regards, Mark (ZA)
Very nice. I first got into it thinking,oh not more wooden boxes, but I suddenly was fascinated watching you make it, and everything fitted and had a place. Well done and I have no doubt your wife was very happy with her gift.
Saturday evening and a new video from Epic UpCycling. Fantastic! EDIT: Such wonderful skill and imagination to recycle old furniture. This is the necessary skills that a generation of children should be learning in school
I fully agree with this comment and opinion. This is really something for practice and more educational than kilos of paper with all kinds of texts about tricks of working with wood and chisels.
Another project beautifully completed! Your wife must be so proud! As always, your attention to detail is amazing. I kept wondering why the mitered edges were staggered; then I saw you place the brass inserts. Brilliant!!!
Always a joy to see my favorite woodworker across the atlantic create something great. I just poured some tea and now I will enjoy the entire video quietly. 😊
I have been watching this guys videos for a few years. Everytime I am just blown away by the craftsmanship and details, he adds to all his projects. It's not new wood from a big box store or exotic woods, it's stuff he is recycling into a piece of artwork. The end results are astonishing.
Another breathtaking piece! It is such an enjoyment to watch you working towards the final product, the precision of your cuts and joins and how deliberate and careful you are with every part of the process.
There is no better gift than that which has been handcrafted with love. I hope it gives your wife great pleasure, Sir. Thank you for sharing your amazing skills with us.
It's fun watching this Channel, amazing work, and then spotting something in the background and wondering how that came together... and then breaking into the video to watch that one
I am so glad I subscribed to receive every notification whenever you upload your videos. I don't comment quite often but this project left me in awe! Your wife will absolutely remember this gift and your children, too, for the rest of their lives. I truly hope that she had a wonderful day. 🌹🌹🌹
Stunning build. Love the box joint construction. The brass inserts were wonderful. The number of velvet wraps was staggering. Detail, detail, loved it.
She must be one very VERY special lady! And she has one very VERY special husband! I love to see stories like this! :D It's beautiful, wishing you both a lifetime of years more,... of this! I have a bit of a different question... (btw, this is a new account but I am an old follower of you...and your work is pristine .... goes without saying!)... What do you do with all the 'wood chips' and 'wood dust' you gather in those huge collection containers of yours? Just curious!
Thanks for the comment :) The larger chips either get burnt through winter to heat our house or used in our chicken hut. The finer stuff gets composted. Any chips or dust that is contaminated with anything, or has paint on gets thrown away.

You really are the master of these intricate "many parts" projects. Inspirational. I just started a small compartment box for my wife yesterday as luck would have it - this gives me so many ideas. Thank you!

Broken old drawers, cereal box card and plastic tubing turned into the highest quality jewellery box. It's like your own brand of magic. I love that this is for your wife! You had me wondering for a bit why you'd cut out the ends of the dovetails, but then I realised of course you're going to make it extra special. It's beautiful and I hope she loves it.
I’ve been in the construction business for over 40 years, never have I seen any one better at carpentry than you, truly amazing work.
Thanks very much :)
The woodworker who makes watchmaking seem imprecise! 😂
Love your work!
Thanks :)
One minute you think you're a pretty good woodworker, the next you see the work and admire this guy making a great box out of almost firewood. Great job sir, and very inspiring!
Thanks very much :)
Lui non è un falegname, lui è un artista
Just beautiful
"Oh, that is interesting - corners shortened like that you don't see very often...."
Damn! Brass inlays! Beautiful!
Minucioso y precioso trabajo. ¡Un excelente artesano! 👏🏼

I did the same thing! Really wonderful detail that shines on the end result.
I would absolutely cry(happy tears) if my spouse gave me something like this. Gorgeous work as usual.
Thanks :)
This man speaks volumes without saying a word.
The banjo music is annoying though lol
@@pavloszimbrakos4410nothing wrong with the banjo music. Maybe it’s just you.
No frills just skills.
Refreshing and awesome.
Makes me wish he could teach me how to create a desktop humidor.
As a woman, I would be so deeply moved if someone made this for me... I would smile every time I saw it on the dressing table.. 🤗💜 🥰

Thanks for your wonderful comments, Michael :)
I was thinking the same thing, nice and quiet, no over the top theatrics, just a man using his skills to create something beautiful!!
Lol. You got me! There was I thinking Mr meticulous was losing his touch with the poorly fitting corners, then of course your precision engineered brass plates saved the day! Another beautifully designed and crafted marvel. Thank you and bless you.
I couldn't agree more.
Shame on you for even thinking such a thing 😂 😂
I was thinking the same thing... "now when is he going to fix that?"
Same! I was wondering what was coming along.
I don’t even know how to respond to this this was a really really weird comment lol it made no sense 🤨

Everything on hold! Change of plans now that I see there's a new vid. Very rarely do I get excited on TH-cam. This chanel is an exception.
I’ve never even heard of this channel until now so that’s cool that you’re a regular lol
I was wondering why you cut the dovetails shorter but at the end I got it. You are amazing! Great job!
Thanks very much.
That was fantastic work, Jason. Well done. Very nice finish, and the interior looks quite regal. Pretty the Missus loved it.
Thanks for sharing.

In this world of mass produced items, it is refreshing to watch a craftsman create something so amazing by hand from reused materials. Fantastic job! I'm sure Mrs. Upcycling loves her gift.
Mrs. Upcycling! I managed to divert most of the coffee away from the keyboard.
Actually, she is Mrs. Epic!
Just when you think Jason has once again up cycled yet another masterpiece he only goes and does brass inlay to make it even better. WTF Jason give us mere mortals a fighting chance please.
How touching a gift...well done keeping the misses happy...

How lucky is she who found a man that loves her so deeply, is inspired by his feelings, and translates them into tangible beauty, just for her.
You truly love what you're doing! it fills my heart with joy to watch you enjoying yourself while making such things of beauty! Also, I am so jealous of your beautiful handplanes. I wouldn't use powertools either if I had such beautiful tools! Thank you so much for your beautiful video's ❤

Masterclass in fine detail woodcraft. Speechless
As always, fantastic. I feel kinship, having done a similar, but much more utilitarian, box for my shop. (Minus the decorative interior, that is. It holds boxes of nails and screws.)
You definitely never disappoint with your woodworking talents. Respect!
Thanks :)
That is a workshop to 'die' for.

that cookie crisp liner made me facepalm.. I hadn't even thought about that as a source of material for something of this nature.
I think those are the SMALLEST half laps I have ever seen. Great work as always! Editing to add - that plane jig is brilliant.
What a labour of love. It looks spectacular. Very well done sir. 👍
Thanks very much :)

Beautiful just beautiful in every way, thank you. God bless you and your wife.
Every time I build something, I think, “I need a drum sander!”
I don't use mine a lot, but it's very handy to have.
Great work and content. You should still buy her a bunch of flowers 😇
Oh, how beautiful! I know she loves it.
I'm at a loss for words! The word beautiful just doesn't describe it adequately!
Thank you. I have purchased as old silver chest for my granddaughter’s silver and I was wondering how to restore the cloth interior. Now I know!
Really really beautiful.
Very nice. I first got into it thinking,oh not more wooden boxes, but I suddenly was fascinated watching you make it, and everything fitted and had a place. Well done and I have no doubt your wife was very happy with her gift.

A Very Special Gift indeed. As always, a fascinating video to watch.
Great, I already gave the like, now I'm going to watch it.

I have a bit of a different question... (btw, this is a new account but I am an old follower of you...and your work is pristine .... goes without saying!)...
What do you do with all the 'wood chips' and 'wood dust' you gather in those huge collection containers of yours? Just curious!
Thanks for the comment :)
The larger chips either get burnt through winter to heat our house or used in our chicken hut. The finer stuff gets composted.

Absolutely beautiful! The compartment lining technique is genius! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks :)
Wow a beautiful gift . Your wife is a very lucky lady.
And here I was sitting - watching - thinking "those finger joints don't quite fit". And out comes the brass. Stupid me. What a stunning result. A man of no words but beautiful products. His products and skills speaks for themselves
Every time I thought it was great, you made it better! A masterpiece, and a beloved heirloom for future generations. Please put your maker’s mark and date on it.

Thanks very much. Yes, she loves it :)
