A Completely Different Way To Construct Solid Wooden Furniture

- I've been trying a few different ways of making furniture out of smaller pieces of scrap. I'm not sure if this method is more, or less work than traditional construction, but it was a lot of fun.

I could watch yer videos all day
Broadcast TV died when Epic UpCycling started putting out videos - it's way more satisfying to watch a master-craftsman build something from scraps than to watch a bunch of people act.
You forgot no ads👍🏻 well I’ve not sofar anyway
If only that were true and the majority of the people in the world enjoyed watching this instead of garbage reality tv, it would be a much better world.
I enjoy both.
@@GlueTubber you ain't wrong there mate I keep watching his videos over and over.
Same thinking!!!
Sir Jason is allways the better oppinion!!!
Godfather of palettes and rusty nails!!! 👍
I think what I like best is seeing all the stuff I've watched you make over the years in the background. The nightstands are awesome too. Love the snap at the end.
Right! I love how each piece is added and utilized making his workshop into an art piece.
Brilliant workmanship accompanied by Robin, Blackbird and Wood Pidgeon song. Superb.
I don't know about anyone else but those look 100 times better than anything store bought. Am, as always, impressed. 👍
This is awesome. That’s a amazing build oh snap you made two nice
That is such a wonderful-looking, while also being simple, piece. Well done.
Thanks :)
Another brilliant idea turned into a beautiful piece. Great work!
Thanks very much, Larry :)
Seeing you finally smile at the very end is the highlight!
I KNEW you were gonna make two of 'em, I just KNEW it. And with a snap of the fingers.....TWO!! I laughed, and laughed. Thanks for the entertainment, Jason. You keep making 'em, and I'll keep watching 'em.
Well I was going to go to bed, but when I saw you’d downloaded another video I had to watch it. I’m so glad I did. So now, in addition to artist, designer, craftsman, we can add innovator to your credits. Just brilliant. Thanks Jason.
Thanks very much, Mandy :)
He really is a very good maker.. blows me away with every project
Me to 😂
Very entertaining and so creative and resourceful!
Thanks :)
otw- but really cool- 1st of your vids, but i WILL watch every one- because i will learn things
and get ideas- thanks much
TH-cam woodworking is obsessed with clamps. Love that you built these using only one, and then only to make it square. As always very inspirational, thanks for sharing
Not in this video but I always like it when Jason uses a few opposing wedges to do what other TH-camrs would use twenty 4 foot clamps for.
Beautiful work! Yep! The magical duplicating finger snap!
Looks like a set of bedroom nightstands.
As a former cabinet maker, I really enjoyed seeing this project. The dark accents added to this work. It turned out really nice. Kudos.
Thanks very much :)
To answer your musings of whether or not this process was more work versus other methods, might I remind you of the pieces you have built where you meticulously shape HUNDREDS OF SMALL PIECES to glue together, stain, etc. Your patience is amazing and incredibly inspiring.
Another fantastic piece. Thank you for sharing your process.
Thanks Eric :)
Epic UpCycling, indeed.
While watching the assembly of the particle boards, I thought "What's he up to?" at first. Then it reminded me of what - trying hard not to spoil new viewers here - them folks at the furniture shop across the street use for some large-quantity projects. Very clever way to ensure matching measurements.
As always, it's a true pleasure watching your videos. Well done, Jason.
Cheers.
Thanks very much :)
What can I say....there are few people in this world with the talent you possess, Jason. I been at it for 65 to 70 years and still enjoy any wood work. Only flaw is you talk way to much...........I am subbing anyway.
I love your work. All this old-school tool's. My father wars a cabinetmaker.
Kind regards from Dresden Germany
Your construction method is inspirational, genius!
Utile e dilettevole - as my dad used to say: useful and delightful.
Love the “chonky ” style of these set of drawers. They would look so good in my mid century modern house.
So simple and so nice 👍
Thanks :)
When I can’t sleep at night I put one of your videos on. Always relaxes me and get me to sleep real quick! Then I gotta rewatch the next day to see what I missed 😂
If there was a cabinetmaking Oscar night, you would win all the trophies. You are just awesome. Thank's for sharing what you do 😏
Thanks very much :)
I love watching you work in your shop. You remind me so much of my grandfather, he was a builder also. And if I was quiet, I could sit and watch him, and I would watch him for hours.
I wanted to thank you for helping me to remember a part of my childhood. It just brings me wonderful memories of my grandfather.
I can’t wait to see what you’re going to make next and looking into your shop with all the different cabinets you made. It’s beautiful.
Thanks Kathy. I've got a big project on at the moment which is going to take a while so there might be a few smaller videos over the next few weeks.
These are beautiful! And MMC says hi
Really super cute! Never disappoint!
I once saw your Narnia closet thumbnail and went like "Oh yeah, let's bash that fraud..." here I still am as a humble subscriber
At 14:28 as you were sanding down your latest and amazing creation, I was noticing the COOLEST things behind you and I watched you build them all. What a super clean and neat workshop you have!! I click the THUMBS UP before I even begin to watch any of your videos because it's a sure thing I will really like whatever you make! I really enjoyed this A LOT! Great idea! If I saw these somewhere I'd not hesitate to buy them both! Just AWESOME!
Thanks very much :)
Beautiful as always. ❤❤❤👏👏👏
I'm sad, that I can't have them. 😢
Gran trabajo .me ha gustado mucho el sistema que has creado para hacer todo el encolado de los listones de madera.Felicitaciones.
Thanks very much :)
That is the business. Solid and beautiful.
Ok i am very disappointed in myself! How did i miss this! Was scrolling through to watch something from your old stuff and found this! Absolutely beautiful Jason as usual. Running out of words to describe your work! Why you dont have many many more subscribers is beyond me! You are a master of your craft and i feel sorry for those that are missing out x keep on making videos and ill keep on watching them x😊
Thanks :)
Love your work, mate. You build such beautiful pieces of furniture. 🥰🥰👏👏👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺

You are the wonderful carpenter and your wife plays the flute in the garden in the background. The result is again miraculous. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Sr.,no deja de sorprenderme, realmente brillante todos sus trabajos, un fuerte abrazo desde Montevideo,República Oriental del Uruguay.

OMG I have just come across this one.... Again lost for words other than a pure artisan.... Absolutely love your work and attention to detail with such patience to boot,
Love all your work. What a pleasure to watch. Thank you
The artistry is captivating and the patience this demands is admirable.

Yes, that's definitely a different way to construct furniture! And what a beautiful job you did! Quite unique! :)
Thanks very much :)
You sir are undeniably one of only a very few that have the skills and vision to do this type of work. I love it.
Très beau meuble en patchwork original bravo👍👏
Your router table setup is brilliant! Great build as always
Thanks very much :)
Nice 👍
Thanks you for your beautiful inspirations
The skill and precision goes without saying but I'm struck by what a powerful mind you have to visualize all these amazing creations and make them a reality.
How ingenious! What a cool way to use up all those small scraps. I wish more people would get more into the spirit of "waste not, want not."
Bravo 👏👏👏 good job and lovely vidéo 👍👍👍 th. You
Thanks very much :)
Spot on project - really do enjoy watching you work - fantastic presentation.
Thanks very much :)
Really great 🤩Your videos are so relaxing and inspiring at the same time. Thanks for sharing! 👋🙋♀👋

Fantastic. I loved watching how this (these) little nightstand or chest took shape. What a beautiful end result.
Any job you do is a joy to behold, you know your getting something from nothing worth everything
Sometimes i wish you was on here a lot more than you are
But i know the work the time the editing means there's only so much you can do
So i truly appreciate your time and effort very much and i impatiently wait for you next masterpiece
Nice work Jason your a credit to the youtube community
Thank you, Mark. I wish I could get more videos out, but yes, the editing makes it slow work. Hopefully not too long until the next one 🙂
amazing work as always.
Thanks :)
Sir, I'm deeply impressed!!! Build by "waste"... every other will burn it up in an oven... not so you... and: btw... it's looking absolutly brilliant... so totaly amazing!!!
Thank you for sharing this video!!!
Love it!!! 👌👍
I am always amazed when I watch this channel. This man is a magician with wood.
My hobby apart from fishing is watching videos and I watch thousands. Your channel is the best by far only thing I wish they were longer. That 30 minutes just flew by. Take care and stay safe sir. Tom.
Cheers Tom 👍
Loving the round endgrains showing. Great job.
Thanks 👍
Love this. Just found an old Stanley router plane in a French barn. I'll be restoring that next week.
Your creativity is, as always inspiring. Once again I am in awe. Also, to see your workshop in the background and realise I have watched you create every one of them over the years. You could give guided tours and you would have queues of people wanting to see "the master craftsman" and your amazing creations.
Yes, I am unashamedly addicted to your videos and hope to see many, many more.
Thanks very much, Julia :)
Surprenante façon de faire un meuble, mais très efficace,le résultat est vraiment réussi, encore du très joli travail,à bientôt salut Jeannot 🛠😉
Thank you, Jeannot :)
Fiel como siempre viendo tus videos , tus trabajos tan hermosos un verdadero maestro de la madera. Abrazos desde argentina
Thanks :)
Just the total concept is amazing combined with your natural ability and craftsmanship Jason, just so watchable and absorbing.
Thanks very much, David.
This. Is. BRILLIANT. Simple enough for a Cro Magnon such as myself to create, fancy enough that design houses would charge hundreds for it.
Your talent and creativity are second to none! I love the look of your workshop, it has made a huge transformation over the years from all the projects that you have done! Thank you for posting these works of art and have a great day!
Thanks very much :)
It is always a great pleasure to watch you work. You have a skill that I have rarely seen in a carpenter. I am certain that your furniture, if well maintained, will outlast all of us. Ready for a few centuries?
Thanks very much :)
J'ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à regarder votre vidéo, bravo et merci !
It looks like it may be a little more work. For a lot of satisfaction. They look so good. Thank you for sharing.
Mack of Midwest Magic Cleaning recommended you, so here I am. 😎
Me too!
Love his work and creativity. Anyone else notice how close he lets his fingers get to blades (specifically with the table saw ... less than an inch!!)
I don't know. This guy has real skills. I wouldn't question anything that he does. (although he could use an outfeed table :)
Another master class ❤👌
Amazing!
Perfectly executed and super handy ... snap!
Love the box jig! Genius! They turned out beautifully!!
Thanks very much :)
You are truly the wood whisperer love watching you work. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks very much :)

Eu sou inscrito em vários canais aqui no TH-cam, mas o seu, sem sombra de dúvidas, é o melhor.

Very nice you’re amazing
Absolut richtig klasse geworden
What a refreshing way to use your scraps. Love the way you used the melamine for the mold. Keep going Master. 😅
Thank you for sharing your work, youre amazing. I send a hug from Argentina
Thank you, Matias 🙂
Normally, most people turn their scrap wood into chopping boards. But this is next level! Well done Jason 👍
Thanks Graham 👍
@@EpicUpCycling You're very welcome buddy 👍
A different method but still the same quality of work you must have been a teacher at a well-respected school or a carpenter by trade, but you still take it to the next level thanks for another great video
Gorgeous pieces! Watching you work is mesmerizing and so relaxing, thanks for sharing! ❤
Bravissimo, splendido lavoro, un caro saluto 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👋👋👋
Как всегда отличный результат. И как всегда не стандартные идеи. Спасибо.
Stunning as usual Jason, keep em coming mate 👍

A little of this a little of that and voilà a work of art.
