I'm so pleased i did a quick YT check before forking out £136 on 2 helmet specific mounts, and then a 5 pack of flexibles for £80. Money well saved. Thany you Gurra :)
Ya nobody is talking about this, I was making a video to explain my experience as well. The 3M tape is trash and will fail within 6 months. You have to use E6000 glue or something strong to KEEP it permanently stuck to the helmet.
Thought about this mount, but when I saw it for 35 bucks I said "Surely not" so before I tried to buy it and waste 35 bucks I decided to find a video on TH-cam, saw one that was obviously a sponsor, then I found this one and it honestly answered all my answers, cheap quality, way over priced, and doesn't even stick to the dam helmet, just going to try and use the same technique that you did with how you mounted the gopro mount on the side of the helmet and use arm extensions to have the gopro sit Infront. Thanks for making the video!!
I just finished pealing my chin mount off. The clips they make to hold the camera to the mount are brittle and snap easily and they want over $10 for replacement. Garbage
Sugru wouldn't help in my case since the mount didnt even fit my helmet. I should have read the reviews on trustpilot before ordering, many have problems with this company. And those who give good reviews are probably "friends and family" 😆
Glad you got a refund my friend. Your Sugru solution works much better and the sound is crystal clear. Spring is just around the corner and that snow will hopefully clear soon.
Looks lie a Purple Panda Mic Gurra, and I picked that the first mount was 3D printed before you said it was it stood out like a sore thumb! The mouldable gley did the trick.
Yep Purple Panda is great! This chin mount is overpriced garbage imo. At least I got my money back, but they tried to bribe me with a $9.99 gift card, why would I want a gift card?
I guess they don´t even buy the helmets. You can use photos as reference to model the mounts in blender rather easy. Had luck that there is a file floating around in the internet for my Bell MX-9 Adventure and that I own a printer since December. Material cost is basically 0,64€ for material and 0.16€ for energy-consumption (as calculated by Cura)
I bought a similar mount from a competitor to this company, also a 3D printed item but it looks to be a better finish than the one you show. Even so, I thought it very pricey for what it is and in the event I didn't use it.
Bad 3D printer job on mine, but I am not the first noticing this, many have the same experience from this company. No bad reviews on their homepage of course they are censored and removed fast.
Now you are a rich plastic owner. :) Joke. You did a great thing to return it. I just mounted my old chin mount on my new helmet. Better to have a proven solution in my opinion. Great video bro. Cheers.
thank you so much for your video i have been looking at these mounts and thought why is the price so high must be really good then i found your video a genuine review and its as i thought its a peace of crap and overpriced thank you so much i hope you got your refund and got out to try the set up for the go pro and the mic is crystal clear again thank you
I bought one of those chin mounts not to long ago, absolutly rubbish quality it feel off of my helmet just with my camera on it and my helmet on my shelf! switched to a different brand called "motomounts" quality feels and looks a million times better havent really properly test it yet though cause I only got it yesterday haha
I have seen the reviews on Trustpilot, many have issues with both the company and products. I just wish I read the reviews before ordering this garbage. Hope your new mount works better 👍
Hey can I ask how the other cam mount from Motomount is working out for you now, three months after your comment? I’m looking for an alternative to ChinMount since MotoRadds won’t work on my Scorpion. ty
Wait thats their real product? I thought that was fake LMAO. Why does everybody hype this up? You can get a higher quality product for £8 ($10-12) that better fits the universal mount mechanism anyway lol
Not everyone is hyping this garbage. Those who do are affiliated with chinmount and are lying their heads off. This is the sad truth with sponsored videos.

"Shin mount… Sheek pad…" This guy is _definitely_ Swedish.
Guilty as charged. I googled the pronounce, ok fine, but were is the "t" in chin 😁
It was made on a 3D printer Gurra!

Glad you got yours fixed 👍

Yep, I spent the same amount on that same 3D printed chin mount and it kept falling off. I bought some Sugru and it fixed the problem.

@@GurrasGarage well that sucks 😢

I believe it was because I paid thru PayPal, they did try to avoid any refund. It worked out really well and I can't wait for spring now ☺ Cheers 👍

I think you are correct, I never believed they have 700 helmets in the first place.

Thanks for watching 👍

Thanks, yes it would be a disaster if that chin mount came off when riding, a 400-$500 camera lost.
@@GurrasGarage Yeah, better prevent it. :) Drop by bro, long time no see. :)
I wish i saw you video in the first place. I waisted 35 bucks on the chin mount.
Face reveal and the sound is great.
I have done full face reveal before, I still look like sh-t 😆
Thanks

5-10$? Bro they're 3d printed no chance they cost more than 1$
ok, but I did reduce the value to $2 after testing it, says so in the video
