This video is super helpful. I needed to go grocery shopping today and was trying to figure out what to cook this week for dinner. I already have a bunch of rice and beans and was trying to plan my meals around those things. So this video helped a bunch and I didn't spend but 30 dollars because I added some extra frozen veggies. I'm also feeding a family of 9 for dinners.
These videos are so good for those rough times. When things are tight, I DoorDash to earn extra $$ for food & for a prepper pantry. It’s worth it to me. Having a Backup pantry makes the rough weeks easier. Thanks for all you do!

You are very creative and resourceful!! Even if this isn’t a “temp” situation as it sometimes isn’t, there is nothing wrong with any of these meals! Fantastic series/video (I hope it’s a series. Lol)
My mom used to make beans from scratch when I was little. There was no such thing as an instant pot back then. The second night, she made chili beans. The third night, she made burritos. Aww, the memories. We were poor too.
Anita told me to find you on TH-cam, and I’m so glad I did!!! I struggle so much with figuring out what to cook. You are so good at it, and have helped me tremendously!!! Thank you 😊
You rock at stretching a dollar. More young families need to listen and learn. Even though I am feeding 3 seniors, I still add in dried beans and sale meats for our menu. Our new favorite is lentils. Until my Dad (93) came to live with us he had not eaten leftover beans in a pan fried burrito with all the goodies for lunch. He is a super fan now. He said I should open a restaurant. lol. Soup beans to chili to coney dogs. Genius! I can never figure out what to do with my leftovers so they won't seem like the same meal 2 or 3 days in a row. Thank you for the inspiration!
I was telling my husband last night how much I love your channel. I told him how you can create great meals with very few ingredients. You have such creative mind. Also, I love your personality! God bless you and your beautiful family!
I love this concept of videos! I hope you make more like this! Having a small list of groceries and making things taste different is always the goal. Nobody enjoys eating the same exact dinner three days in a row
Big old pot of Pinto Beans and Cotn Bread, you cannot beat it. We diced onion to sprinkle on ours and my Dad sprinkled pepper vinegar on his. My Dad even ate cold pinto bean sandwiches. If you like your beans thicker, take a half cup of the beans and a little juice and mash it together. Stir it back in the big pot and it will thicken the beans. It all looked so good.
There’s absolutely nothing like a good pot of pinto beans and cornbread are my favorite chopped onions and tomato 😋I like all types of beans don’t get me wrong great northern are next 😋🙏🏾❤️

We had pinto beans every week. Momma would bake some cornbread. We would either have country-fried potatoes or rutabaga with the beans. She would save a small portion of the beans and make a salad the next day. The salad had lettuce, tomato, onion, beans, and some mayonnaise. She would also bake a homemade pie or cake. She baked pie or cake at least 5 days a week. The pie was cut into 5 pieces, one slice for each family member. When she baked a cake, it was cut in half, and we ate it that night. The other half was for the next night. Great memories!

Love your channel. I like to cook meals that are cheap but doesn't taste cheap. It would be good to see a series for a full day on a budget, including breakfast and lunch.
This was amazing. Presently we are trying to make it to every payday 😢. Resources reduced and prices increased 😮. I did something like this with the $7 bag of chicken quarters from Wal. so far we had backed chicken and rice, chicken rice avocado cheese salsa burritos, chicken noodle soup, tonight chicken tortilla soup and still have 4 chicken quarters in freezer.
I love when you do these types of videos. Hell I love all of your videos. I keep trying to tell my family we are too broke for them to not like beans and rice but they won't listen to me! 🤦🤣 I am from Georgia and soup beans and cornbread is a whole buffet for me! You were only missing the hot sauce! ♥️
A couple of things i use chili for are; Chili cheese baked potatoes are always good. Chili omelets only uses a couple of spoons full of chili and serve with toast, chili quesadill too if it's good and thick 😋 love the videos ❤
I just found your channel a few days ago and have been binge watching. You have the best ideas and you are so sweet. New subbie! Have a great Easter!. BTW I am even doing a pantry Easter, thanks to you!
If you are a mother. A real mother. All you want is to be able to send your child to bed with a full tummy. Or to school with a full tummy. They sleep better & learn more when their tummy isn't growling. I have nnever baked my hotdogs before. I either boil them or cook them in my griddle frying pan. If you do that you have to watch them. Or they could burn. I'm going to try & bake them next time. My griddle is cast iron so I can stick it in the oven. I'm going to give it a try.
All the recipes look great to me. Idealy there would be veggies but like you said sometimes you just need to fill up little bellies. I think thats exactly why people should have pantrys with extra food for when the budget is a little more tight. Thanks for a great video.
I do appreciate that you want to give people inexpensive options for when they are broke, but I would like to see a more day-to-day menu that is sustainable over a long time (that, yes, contains all food groups). I know you can do it, and it would help us a lot.
Soup beans, cornbread, sliced onion and sweet tea was what I grew up on!!!! Brooke I enjoy these type of videos you are AMAZING at what you do you truly have a gift!!!! God Bless
It's a blessing that ur household loves ur cooking! I have all girls & they will eat one day & the next day won't eat anything!!! Tks for sharing all these recipes ❤

Soup Beans are a staple here in Ky. Pretty sure they kept a lot of children from actually starving. Along with potatoes and cornbread. My husband ate them almost everynight as a child in a large family. We still love them and fix beans at least once a week.
Great job, Brooke! Obviously, your best accomplishment is raising your wonderful boys! They are each one what everyone wishes for. Congrats! Thank you for sharing.
I love your budget friendly meals!! There helping my family so much in order to save up for our vacation! I used to make so much food that then needed to be thrown away but with your meals I only make exactly what we will eat and only buy what we need. Opposed to not having a meal plan and over buying. You should do a video on what type of food/ snacks to take for on the road/ a day at the park I would really appreciate it! (For reference we’re going to Disney) husband is the only provider and I’m trying to help as much as I can spending wise!
Hello Ms. Brooke. 🦋 Bless you! I have replied and talked with so many ladies in the comments. Sorry, I now only have time left to remind you that I love you and the women at my shelter do too. Back to work. Er room is FULL tonight!! 🏥 ❤ Happy Easter, Sister. Lifting you up in prayer 🙏🏼 Your Friend, Lt. Nurse Wendy.
Take those oyster crackers, mix a packet of ranch, and olive oil (or any oil) and bake them on a low heat like 250. My uncle used to make this for Holliday's. If anyone knows the actual recipe please share. It's so good and so cheap. Happy Easter everyone!!
My recipe is a 1 pound box of saltines or equivalent of oyster crackers. 1 pkg dry ranch dressing mix 2-3 Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes and originally the recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of canola oil but I use 3/4 cup sometimes less. I don't bake them, just whisk together the oil, dressing mix, red pepper flakes. Empty the crackers into a large ziploc bag or container with tight fitting lid, pour the oil mixture over the top and stir to coat the crackers. Put on lid or seal container and stir or shake every 15-30 minutes until everything is coated and absorbed.
You never can go wrong with beans and cornbread. Brooke everything looked good and hearty portions for all. Thanks for the creativity and very Happy Easter wishes to all. Our Savior is the reason we can celebrate. xoxo
This video is 5 months old and I'm watching it now because I just found your channel. I understand that some people don't like beans. We all love them here in my family. No need to explain that it is to keep bellies filled. Thank goodness they are inexpensive because we would eat them no matter what.
Good looking food, we eat like this sometimes just because we love them. Thanks for reminding me about chili beans, it's been a while, love you Brooke and your kids are just so sweet!
Sad you gotta keep reminding people it’s just to fill your families bellys😮 love your channel love your videos I look for them all the time a lot of my melas I have been inspired by your budget meals !! Any wait for the next video 😊😊
Love it! My 3rd pinto bean meal is often chili/rice/cheese burritos. I combine ingredients in a large tortilla, spray them with pam and crisp them in the oven. They're delicious!! Chili over spaghetti is good too! And you can freeze the pinto beans to make your own baked beans or refried beans from scratch another week!
I especially liked that, even though you were using beans in all the meals, you show different ways to use them. It would be easy to spread them out over a few more days, skipping days in between to break it up a little. There is so much you can do with beans, and they are so good. Maybe you could do a series of shows and make several meals with a common ingredient, like rice, potatoes, ground beef, chicken, Etc. Just an idea, though I really like the way you do your shows now. Great ideas.
The seasoning blend really does make a delicious difference in chili. The first time I did it my frugal-self was so upset, "damn, now my chili's going to cost an extra dollar to make." 🤣
Gosh Brooke, you are knocking it out of the park gorgeous girl. I am now going to cook pinto beans in my electric pressure cooker (I’m in Australia, we don’t have instapot ) & freeze them….family of 2 here & id definitely eat your meals, minus the meat/sausage/hotdog sausages (I’m mostly vegetarian, eat fish very infrequently) so I could throw a steamed frozen veg on the side to bulk it up. Happy Easter to you all & God bless us all for your wonderfulness 💖💖💖💖
Love your vids. I would love to see a vid of a week of dinners you are cooking for just a normal week, and using your pantry and I would love to see you try things you have never made before to see if your family would like the new recipes.
My standard for weiners is to put them in a skillet with a nice blob of bacon grease. Roll until browning and becoming somewhat crispy/charring but not quite burned. Delicious!!
I sometimes cut the sausage circles in half again because it makes it look like more even though it’s exactly the same amount and then I add another cup of home cooked beans and mix it in to make some lunches the next day.Your recipe is fabulous, tasty and nutritious.
PS: girl this is a ministry. I'm not sure if you realize that, but God's using you to help others❤

Only thing missing from them beans and corn bread was some good fried potatoes, one of my fav meals
Great meals Brooke and I love how 2 lbs of beans turned into 3 complete different meals !! Great job👏👏👏! I love these meal videos that stretches a buck but serves up. Nutritious enticing meals! God bless and Happy Easter to you and the family!! ❤️🙏🙋🏻
Reminds me of my mom. Soup beans 2 nights. Chili the third. 4th night chili over spaghetti noodles with Parm.
And who doesn't like hot dogs - he's the sweetest thing as are all of your family 🥰
I don’t like hotdogs believe it or not I put ground turkey the same brand she uses in beans..it’s even better
Soup Beans are a staple here in Ky. Pretty sure they kept a lot of children from actually starving. Along with potatoes and cornbread. My husband ate them almost everynight as a child in a large family. We still love them and fix beans at least once a week.
I dump any leftover chunky salsa that is usually in the fridge into my chili. It's my secret ingredient (shhhhh, don't tell! LOL)
I won’t tell! 😂 I bet that makes it pop!
I just love the faint! It never gets old.
Great job, Brooke! Obviously, your best accomplishment is raising your wonderful boys! They are each one what everyone wishes for. Congrats! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Really appreciate this video. It was very helpful. Keep up the great work. 😊
Hello Ms. Brooke. 🦋 Bless you! I have replied and talked with so many ladies in the comments. Sorry, I now only have time left to remind you that I love you and the women at my shelter do too. Back to work. Er room is FULL tonight!! 🏥 ❤ Happy Easter, Sister. Lifting you up in prayer 🙏🏼
Your Friend, Lt. Nurse Wendy.
Genius!! 2 lbs beans into 3 meals!!😳😍 So proud of you little mama!!!💞💞💞💞💞love you bestie!!💖💖💖💖💖💖
I lovesoup beans and cornbread as a meal, scrambled eggs and fried potatoes as a meal, and chicken and dumplings
I did not grow up eating beans but I married a man from West Va and he taught me all about beans...yummy
You can take a cup of beans and the juice out and put them in a blender. Add back to the beans to thicken the soup.
Take those oyster crackers, mix a packet of ranch, and olive oil (or any oil) and bake them on a low heat like 250. My uncle used to make this for Holliday's. If anyone knows the actual recipe please share. It's so good and so cheap. Happy Easter everyone!!
See Mindy Mom has a similar recipe she uses for saltines (she may do them with oyster crackers, too) I'll see if I can find it.
Sounds good.
You never can go wrong with beans and cornbread. Brooke everything looked good and hearty portions for all. Thanks for the creativity and very Happy Easter wishes to all. Our Savior is the reason we can celebrate. xoxo
Thank you! Have the best Easter!!
Happy Easter everyone ✝️
God is good!!
So glad to see the ground turkey roll...we live off of those so it's great to see new ways to use them so thank you!
This video is 5 months old and I'm watching it now because I just found your channel. I understand that some people don't like beans. We all love them here in my family. No need to explain that it is to keep bellies filled. Thank goodness they are inexpensive because we would eat them no matter what.
Aww, your sons are so appreciative.
Bean cakes with leftovers is a must try. Filling and different
i like her videos im kinda new TO HER chanal I like that she puts her kids and hubby first GOD BLESS HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY.
Good looking food, we eat like this sometimes just because we love them. Thanks for reminding me about chili beans, it's been a while, love you Brooke and your kids are just so sweet!
I agree with you. Why drain the pinto beans for chili? So much goodness wasted. Well Done Momma, well done!
Sad you gotta keep reminding people it’s just to fill your families bellys😮 love your channel love your videos I look for them all the time a lot of my melas I have been inspired by your budget meals !! Any wait for the next video 😊😊
Love these meals! Great way to stretch the beans! You rock!
I really enjoy all the meals you make using a small budget.
The first time I did it my frugal-self was so upset, "damn, now my chili's going to cost an extra dollar to make." 🤣
😂 I relate
Gosh Brooke, you are knocking it out of the park gorgeous girl. I am now going to cook pinto beans in my electric pressure cooker (I’m in Australia, we don’t have instapot ) & freeze them….family of 2 here & id definitely eat your meals, minus the meat/sausage/hotdog sausages (I’m mostly vegetarian, eat fish very infrequently) so I could throw a steamed frozen veg on the side to bulk it up.
Happy Easter to you all & God bless us all for your wonderfulness 💖💖💖💖
Thank you so much! I’m So glad you can put your own twist on these meals to fit your diet! Happy Easter!!
Beans and cornbread! YUM!
This ain't emergency anymore..with inflation, this is life. Lol
Would love to see more budget friendly low carb meals too!!
Loved the video...my favorite part was when you said "zip it!"😂❤
Love your vids. I would love to see a vid of a week of dinners you are cooking for just a normal week, and using your pantry and I would love to see you try things you have never made before to see if your family would like the new recipes.
Ate pinto beans and cornbread weekly as a kid. Chow chow or sliced onion. Yum
If you can find foods your kids will eat, more power to you!
The faint gets me every time 😂❤
You could add that leftover chili with boxed macaroni and cheese and have another meal too!!
