I keep a well stock pantry and a extra bedroom to hold emergency food and over flow. IT IS SOOO IMPORTANT. I was at the store not to long ago and everyone was panic buying, I think it was a storm coming, I stood in line so thankful I didn't need to pick up anything for it. Peace of mind knowing you're set for anything. I've been stocking up for years.

It sounds like you may have an irrational fear if you think you need an entire bedroom full of pantry items just in case.

An old refrigerator that no longer works and cleaned out of course makes a really good storage for pantry non perishable foods. I also have a box of baking soda in refrigerator and freezer so far months later all is good. My husband came up with using the old non working fridge for a pantry we have a small house with a full basement it's in our basement. Much better idea than putting it in the landfill.

Hi Brooke. A little tip to take your grilled peanut butter sandwiches to a whole new level, instead of having the sliced banana on the side, put them in the sandwich AND add a little drizzle of honey. The heat from grilling them will soften the bananas if they are a bit on the firm side, and make them taste creamier and sweeter. Oh my goodness, it is the food of the gods, I promise you will LOVE it.
Much love and respect to you and your beautiful family, from South East England. x

I am 100% with you on having a stocked pantry! When I’m getting low on an item I put it on my list (I use the notes section on my phone) and when I see it on sale I stock up on it. I do the same with meat, I have a deep freezer for meat and etc. Keep an eye on your grocery stores! My local Weis marks down their meat on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, you can stock up on marked down meat, use freezer bags and stash in your freezer for when you need it. I love your videos and you always give me inspiration for a meal if I don’t know what I want for dinner (I try to make a meal plan but it changes with our moods lol)

    Love this series..
Idk if people would find it "preach-y" ??
But to do this AND have a small garden even just 1 raised bed, spring, summer & winter vegis..they could stretch $$ so much further....
And or..do the budget haul and be able to pick just 1 item from a prep pantry per meal! Or both??
From the budget haul you could have left out the..lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers?? To buy more meat, cheese, butter, milk etc..
And ALWAYS have a big, constantly growing herb pot/s!
You'll pretty much always have carrots, potatoes & onions!
    Tomatoes all summer..peppers..
Just a thought to show..after this series is over..what's possible with just an Itty bitty garden and ANY pantry in reserve 😊

Anyways... what I do is compile everything at either Walmart or Target (now) and have her do a grocery pickup, and I send her the corresponding video...
Money is always tight when ur just starting married life, especially with a baby on the way... she lives in Georgia and I'm in Arizona so this is a great way for me to do something for them that makes me feel like I'm saving them money and I'm also teaching her with ur ahhhmazing videos.

This is an order video I know but hopefully maybe you’ll get a notification that I sent you that message is it popped up on my feed that’s why I was watching it. I love your channel. Remind you that target is expensive! I am gone grocery shopping once because I had no choiceand wow, it is an expensive store altogether and they think they’re cheap. No, no no no they’re not so I think you did well.

Hiya from Lt McBride the Navy Nurse. Been away for a bit... just back home from a quick 3 week Navy Co tinting ED class. gREAT JOB at Target. One of my most FAVORITE stores. Oh, I get in trouble in there.😅 Just a question. Did you say they "overcharged or charged wrong, and that's okay"?? Girl, you should have marched up to customer service and told them!! Bless you. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼PS. I love you peanut butter sandwich. It reminds me of elementary school yrs ago!! 🥪

Condiments from convenience stores, lunch lunes and restraints can help with seasoning. I knew a girl that put all her saved up duck sauce to brine her turkey. I very seldom buy soy sause.

Pink salt is good. It’s called Himalayan salt. It is supposed to be better than sea salt. You can’t tell the different from regular salt. It is good.

You are so awesome and so is your family! Love watching and learning! Do the Elvis and put the banana on the peanut butter grilled sandwich. Also smash the carrots put butter and sugar brown or white kinda like you do with sweet potatoes. Could you please make goulash using tomato paste?

Show how you can add a couple things every shopping trip to build a pantry as your feeding your family. Only use what you buy on a budget . Keep it going for a few weeks . Week to week you can build a pantry. Show them how it’s done. ❤

When I was little I’d make open face pb&j in the toaster oven… pb on bread with dollops of jelly or jam. Delicious 😋

To making the bean dish go even further, add pealed and cut into 4th potatoes, whole eggs 🥚 they will cook in the crock pot, it will be amazing with the meat and spices, the potatoes absorb all of the flavors and it’s a fabulous way to use extra eggs. And a great protein!
