I have exactly same habit as you sheikh in terms of pen, writing and taking notes. My only difference is I use erasable pen, erasable highlighters. This way I can remove them once I don’t need or need to change. And I am a big fan of post-it label to mark on important pages or sections. Also I use post it notes inside the page to make additional notes on the page when required.

The ink gets faded away by the passage of time. I recently fell in love with gel pens. uniball pen Pointer pens with soft nib Pencils Colour markers and cut markers too. Obviously Highlighters are the essential.
This vid took back when I used to work for stationery where we had very extensive pens and pencils. Hardcover books always better than any tables, ipad and computers form of books.

Jazaak Allah khair Sheikh u reminded me of my school days. Fountain pens mechanical pencils , well highlighters where not allowed in school days as u cannot undo it. One tip u can refill those cartridges with ink using syringes . well pilot is my favorite too

People from Germany know how great those fountain pen erasers are. I don't think you can easily find them in other countries. It's pretty much a pen, with two sides. One side is white and wet which erases the ink, and the other end is a different type of ink that can write on that wet erased part.

Just the other day I watched the video of Shaykh demonstrating wudu and I’ve utilized the knowledge to make some slight adjustments to improve my technique, JZK. @@Arustustein86 this was posted two years ago. After all these years I realized, this is all unncessary. I use an ipad now, and even tho it might seem expensive to buy one, in the long run it is cheaper and more efficient. in an iPad you get all of these built in and it's portable and you can backup everything. These items you buy can get stolen, but your backups are always saved in the cloud. I prefer not to buy these.
@@enacausmembrane That's an even better idea though I don't really trust apple as a company, their products look really nice but as a company they do a lot of questionable things, like going against the right to repair, violating data privacy etc but thank you though I'll look into getting an android tablet, root the device then use foss applications and stuff. I recommend you do the same thing if you can, it'll give you more control over your own product and your data.
Assalamu alaykum Sheikh. What are the rules when studying the quran? Note taking? Sticky notes? What if its a tajweed quran? Or quran with both english tasfir and arabic? Can we use bookmarks? Set the quran down open on the kitchen table while reading or copying? Is it bad if I fall asleep with the quran on my chest or lap? (I know its not supposed to be a pillow) can I carry a quran with me in my bag and read on the train or during my lunch break? As salaamu alykum shiekh really likeing the material that you putting out... i wanted to ask you a question regarding some previous video regarding arabic language.... im 33 years old trying to learn the arabic language iv almost completed madinah book1..my question is would the madinah book series be sufficient in having a strong hand in the arabic language to seek knowledge and understand classical works... my intention is to seek knowledge understanding the quran and focus more in aqeedah. I wish i could go to a arab country but with age and responsibilities it becomes difficult.. if u could reply to this message i would be greatfull.. jazakallah khair.

this was posted two years ago.
After all these years I realized, this is all unncessary. I use an ipad now, and even tho it might seem expensive to buy one, in the long run it is cheaper and more efficient. in an iPad you get all of these built in and it's portable and you can backup everything. These items you buy can get stolen, but your backups are always saved in the cloud.
I prefer not to buy these.
@@enacausmembrane That's an even better idea though I don't really trust apple as a company, their products look really nice but as a company they do a lot of questionable things, like going against the right to repair, violating data privacy etc but thank you though I'll look into getting an android tablet, root the device then use foss applications and stuff. I recommend you do the same thing if you can, it'll give you more control over your own product and your data.

Assalamu alaykum Sheikh. What are the rules when studying the quran? Note taking? Sticky notes? What if its a tajweed quran? Or quran with both english tasfir and arabic? Can we use bookmarks? Set the quran down open on the kitchen table while reading or copying? Is it bad if I fall asleep with the quran on my chest or lap? (I know its not supposed to be a pillow) can I carry a quran with me in my bag and read on the train or during my lunch break? I know these are all probably stupid questions, but Im just a stupid revert who doesnt know anything. Please drop some knowledge on this topic Sheikh. Barakallah feek
You may want to purchase a colored font quran. They make the different tajweed rules in different colors
