(1) Sincerity
(2) Truthfulness
(3) Implementation of Knowledge
(4) High Aspiration
(5) Steadfastness [absence of Haste]
(6) Good Company [people of Knowledge]
First step in gaining knowledge is finding a Shaykh. Studying by yourself can lead to incorrectly understanding the religion.
How do u know if q skaykh is legit or not

@@cOnfidentialcOrp By seeing if he understands the religion according the understanding of the sahabah and the salaf. If he keeps saying "I think..." or "in my opinion" then this is something to be worried about.

-Gradual stages of learning
1. You have a perception of issue (you would have discussions...sometimes people are arguing but not talking about same thing)
2. After perceived issue, what is the ruling? Halal, makrooh, haram, etc
3. Know differences and similarities between issues
Brothers Ibn Hajar Al-Haythami may Allaah have mercy upon him said: 'It is absolutely forbidden to cover utensils with gold according to our school [Shaafi'ee], and if utensils have gold and after being exposed to fire, the gold still remains, then it is forbidden to keep the gold from such items or wear it. But if after being exposed to fire, nothing remains of it (gold) on these items then it is not forbidden to use them or wear them.'

shia houthis backed by Iran fought against the Sunni Muslim government of Yemen. The government asked Saudi for military help. Saudi then fought the houthis any innocent lives that have been taken are of course regrettable, unfortunately when wars are fought these days many innocent people die. Had Saudi not got involved the houthis may have taken over Yemen and attacked Saudi Arabia Mecca and Medina. Yemen is near Saudi Arabia.

Please can you give a list of steps of what a beginner seeker of knowledge can do? E.g first Quran then Hadith etc
If you wanna become a serious student of knowledge then start with memorizing quran and learning Arabic, (if you can, try to do both, if you can't then give precedence to memorizing quran and the learning Arabic) then go for "Mutoon talib Al ilm" and ustadh does a "dawrah ilmiyyah" on TH-cam channel called "kalemah", do that too. Try to get ulema, a teacher who can take you further. If you are not a serious studen of knowledge, then just do "Mutoon talib Al ilm". May Allah grant you success and help you in your journey.

@Ibrahim Ibn Mahmud how did they oppress him? It was the scholars who spoke out against him after his debate with a kharaji. He wasn't even supposed to debate with a kharaji, also he lost and during the debate he lied about Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. He also lied about Ibn ʿAbbās may Allah be pleased with him.
He called the kharaji he was there to debate shaykh and he said to him may Allaah elevate your status.
This is what Abdur Rahman Hasan said to a kharaji about Prophet Muhammad peace be upon on him and about Ibn Abbas may Allah be pleased with him.
Ibn ʿAbbās (radiyallaahu anhu), when he described them, he described them very well. And he praised them when he described them. So to say he did not praise them once, its a lie upon this noble companion of the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam). Rather, the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) himself, he praised the Khawārij before ʿAbdullāh bin ʿAbbās... By Allāh (wallāhi), it is a praise...that is a praise and that is something that shows that, or its a characteristic that is noble... I don't know what other praise you're looking for.
Then 5 scholars may Allah be pleased with thim warned against Abdur Rahman Hasan.

He should not have debated he lied against Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Since he did debate then straight away during the debate or straight away after the debate he should have made thawba. Instead after the debate Imran and Abu Taymiyah publicly defended Abdur Rahman Hasan even though he lied upon the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) . They continue to defend him after the Scholars ruled against him. Later the scholars made thier verdict. The Scholars unanimously have ruled against Abdur Rahman Hasan. After Shaykh al-Fawzan, Shaykh al-Luhaydaan, Shaykh Muhammad Akkur: Shaykh Abdullah an-Najmee, Shaykh Abdur Rahman Muhyiudeen may Allah be pleased with all of them all warned against
Abdur Rahman Hasan, he didnt make thawba straight away. Imran continues to defend Abdur Rahman. Abdur Rahman Hasan contacted another scholar who also told him what the other 5 scholars already told him. Afterwards he made his tawba it is between him and Allah. Now he has gone back to debate again...

Learn the basics first then learn arabic. The basics being aqeedah, tahaarah, salah, zakaah, sawm and hajj. Then move onto learning arabic.
