It is so fun watching them work together. My understanding is normally they come up with arrangements, make a recording on their phone, send it to Ben, he tweets it sends it back, etc., until they get what they want. He then does the sheet music and then they each record their parts. You can just feel the respect and admiration they have for each other.
I haven't watched yet but just came to say I hope you'll do this whole album now. They have videos for It's been a long long time( short intro). The video they used to announce going back on tour after 2+ years of no touring because of covid. Over the River w/ Lindsey sterling on violin, The Prayer and I just called to say i love you. Lots of good live performances from this album since they livestreamed their concert last year. Of course they didn't perform every song but would love to see you do all the audio at least.
Yes, now's the time to see all the songs on this album - especially we'll need to review each and every one so we're prepared when the awards are announced. I'm so happy that you are such a supporter of Matt. I think after 5 years as the bass he shouldn't have to keep trying to fill Avi's shoes. Yes, we all love Avi and he's amazing, but it's Matt now and he's amazing as well. So, thank you for understanding how epic this will be for him to be able to say that he's won a Grammy as well.
FYI -- Homophonic music is when everyone is singing the same text at the same time, but maybe with different notes so they are singing in chords. Usually one voice is singing the melody and the other parts sing in the same rhythm as the melody but different notes. Standard church hymns are homophonic. The five-part songs you like usually have sections of homophony. As opposed to polyphonic, where each voice has a separate musical line, singing different text and note values than the others, and the different parts intertwine in harmony.

There are videos (I think from PTXperience On My way Home Tour) that show them doing arrangements (and tweaking arrangements) for songs on the tour bus and in hotel rooms during that tour - and that was like 2014 or 2015. It's always really cool to watch. I hope they manage to win. They are up against some heavy hitters who have more visibility, but they certainly deserve another win.

Sure, they got nominated for something they produced in two weeks... they won a Grammy for something they recorded in a closet 😅 I get fixated, too. Both on subjects and on facts... hence all the PTX information and correcting comments. I mean, it took me a couple weeks to put together all the information on my spreadsheet discography, but it was driving me insane that the information wasn't already available in that kind of format.

It's an hour long, but you could easily split it into 5 segments. The film is all behind the scenes of the band as they tour the US. They speak of how grateful they are to be back on tour after their long break due to COVID and it's really a great look into their personalities and how they prepare for their shows.

Just started with your little rant about the Bible. Personally, I have always had a really hard time wrapping my head around the Bible, especially the Old Testament. I found Dennis Prager's "The Rational Bible" and am gaining an understanding I never could have reached on my own. The series of 5 is the first five books of the Bible. One volume for each book. He has released 3 so far. Genesis, Exodus and Deuteronomy. Dennis is fluent in ancient Hebrew and brings a great understanding. I highly recommend these books to anyone struggling to gain understanding of the Old Testament, at least the first 5 books which are also the Torah. Now, on to the video!
