I saw Ms. Rashad one day at the airport. She was walking up behind me and all of the black people, including TSA agents, had a “moment”. She is so regal and truly, class personified. I waved at her discreetly because I didn’t want to bring attention (she didn’t have security with her) She smiled and waved back. I cried on the inside ❤️
Cool story for which I can also relate....as a Delta jet mechanic I spend a good number of days in Hartsfield Jackson airport, as you might imagine. @@tima.478 That's awesome. I knew she would be a genuine person. You can just see it, from her character, Claire Huxtable. I met her sister Debbie Allen at, The Lakers Forum. I was in a basketball tournament there. After The Lakers Game, We played our tournament games on the Lakers Court. I was on the ground floor just walking, until it was our teams time to play. I was only 14 years old, in 1979. Anyway, I look up, and who do I see? Debbie Allen & her husband, Norm Nixon. They were hugged up, walking towards the door and she was close enough, that i could have shook her hand. She looked at me & said, Hello! And of course I spoke back. What a beautiful story about my two fav artist Phylicia Rashad and Debbie Allen. It was amazing how their mom uprooted them, and moved to Mexico where they were appreciated, and thrived, to where they became the stars they are. In the Cosby shows not only was I impressed with how she portrayed a lawyer, and I always see a female lawyer as superbad, but I also was impressed how she took care of home. But my most cherished memory of her, and it may have been on Different World, but she sang solo, at a Hilman graduation, the song "Seek Ye First", and I was spellbound at how beautifully she sang it. But not just that, she was singing it like this is what you must do, the words were so truthfully said. So after then I did begin seeking God first, instead of seeking things first. Not forgetting Debbie Allen one of the best dancer an choreographers I've known. These two are the sum results of what their mom and dad instilled, in them.

Her mother was a beautiful woman, too, they look so much alike, like they could have been sisters. That photo of a young Phylicia at 3:25 really grabbed my attention, because she looks so much like a young Whitney Houston. Phylicia is such an amazing woman that presents a bright, intense personality poised with class and dignity, a truly gifted actress!
@Draper Scott You must be looking at the wrong image, because the image I am referencing is only there from roughly 3:23 to 3:27 so it is on and off in only a second or two and quite easy to miss. Phylicia is sitting on the floor in front of a radiator with her elbows on her knees reading some papers. She looks quite different in every other shot, quite different from Whitney, but in that singular photo she looks very much as Whitney did in the early 1990's, which is why that photo jumped out at me.
I love Whitney Houston ( the greatest singer I've ever heard) I'm a huge fan and Yes she was beautiful when she was younger but phylicia is a whole another level of beautiful right there... soooo natural.... Caught off guard and still BEAUTIFUL ( look like her momma when she was young)

Facts 🙏🏾
Her mother is still alive at age 99
@@brittaniharold1880 That is good news!
3:24 beautiful 😍
This beautiful, talented, awesome woman is also a Tony award winning actress. She is simply, ALL THAT!
Good Lord her mother was just as beautiful 😍
Facts Lol
I have 2 young daughters. I grew up watching this woman. I want my daughters to be similar to her, as far as class and perseverance.
I am a total fan of her. Thank you for this treat.❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖
We love her in H-town Houston
She's a true woman, stood by her Bill. A true gangster. Unlike the rest of the sellout crowd. The REALEST!
@PATRICIA SLADE, POINT BLANK ❤️❤️
Thank you telling this story. She is so special
Yw, thank you, agreed 🙏🏾
Learned something new, she learned Spanish in Mexico, she had 3 kids (only talked about her broadway daughter) and her mother is who Claire Huxtable took after. Very informative, wish it was longer, thanks for sharing.
Your welcome, the next one will be Lol, appreciate you 🙏🏾
@@LifeisLyrical ditto, thanks.
No, she has 2 kids, not 3
@@LilHelena You're so right, I stand corrected.
Her mom was so Beautiful and her dad was handsome
I’m fortunate enough to Chauffeur Felicia Rashad at times and I must say she’s very special lady with the spirit and glow of an Angel just her presence make everything around you better.

You ain't lying about that brother!! Claire Huxtable is everybody's mom I love her to def Phylicia Rashad nailed it on "The Cosby Show" nobody cannot do it like her she's the best mother on that. Now don't get me wrong I like Esther Rolle known as Florida from "Good Times" but Phylicia Rashad nailed it. ❤❤💜💜💜👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
I miss Esther.

@@Lokian_Mermaid Same here my friend!! 💜💜
@@Lokian_Mermaid facts!
I did electrical work at her mom's house in Westchester County NY back in the early 90's.
Nice
This was great. I've always admired her.
Thank you 🙏🏾
Beauty, Class, and Determination!
And I will tell you, Dean Rashad remains a very beautiful woman. Howard is lucky to have her. How she continues to help young artist isn’t highly publicized, but she does. It was a very distinct pleasure to sit with her in the Fall of 2021. Her beauty extends far beyond the physical.
Thank You for such a great video! Ms. Rashad is such a gorgeous woman! She seems so warm inside as well
Again Thank You for all the time you put into your research in making this video a reality!
Your welcome, thank you so much! 🙏🏾
Lol. You mentioned how she won an NAACP Image award but not 2 Tony Awards 🤦🏾♀️. Nice bio but it could use some work. Also, Ahmad is Rashad, not Bradshaw 😩
@Kevin Thomas lol 😩 I forgot about that one. He tried tho
