- Phylicia Rashād (born Phylicia Ayers-Allen; June 19, 1948) is an American Tony Award-winning actress and singer, best known for her role as Clair Huxtable on the long-running NBC sitcom The Cosby Show.
In 2004, Rashād became the first African-American actress to win the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play, for her role in the revival of A Raisin in the Sun.[1][2] She resumed the role in the 2008 television adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun, which earned her the 2009 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special. Rashād was dubbed "the mother" of the African-American community at the 42nd NAACP Image Awards. - Wikipedia

He couldn't relate to whatever she was saying about raising her daughter.I think it went over his head and so he tried to bring the question back in a different way. When he asked that question I knew she was gonna say she wasn't gonna raise her daughter differently,Because I just feel like I know her. Lol I love her and her sister Debbie Allen.

She was and still is Americans favorite mom. The mother back then was warm and loving. And she would put you in your place if need be. The role of Clair Huxtable was made for her. I think she soil us with that role of sweetness. Here is why I say this. The mother she plays on Empire is no Clair Huxtable. This mother is ruthless,no sweetness no where. I mean kid napping people's babies and everything. This mother role is going to take some getting use too. I'm up for the challenge. Lol.

Yes phylicia rashaf is a beautiful intelligent woman but I have watched a many of her interviews over the years and not once foes she mention good she could not have done all of these things on her own I know he was helping her always wonder why people never give him enough praise I don't care how much we have or how intelligent we are we are not self made
We are not all slaves. Its a reason why she never mentioned god and its probably because she knows her history. We are free now. We dont have to subscribe to the white mans god any longer.
