      Sweetie - let me give you a different perspective. Of course, I know nothing about what you and your father argued about, and I am not meaning to ignore the pain that caused. But when you get to be my age (68) the things you remember about your father are important to you, because, well - I lost my father 20 years ago next February. This argument may well be one of them for you, who knows. But since we don't know when we may lose our loved ones, instead of thinking about the argument all day - take a little time to remember five things about your father that you love or are grateful about. It may help you put things in perspective, or identify a problem. Either way, I hope it helps you.

The hay next door combusted and dad came from the shearing shed (13 miles away) a spotted fire and went to take action and the whole shed blew up.

    Watching the ewes and the straw reminded me. Sometimes the castle ranchers especially will put wheat in large round bales. The cattle, horses, mice, rats, etc will gorge themselves on the wheat hay. Horse people will criticize this over the wheat in it, but I'm talking about the whole plant. They get tons of roughage with the grain. Ultimately, roughage is so, so, so important. It seems like it's, maybe, more important in sheep than in horses.

    I have to go to a National Park with hundreds of other people to enjoy what you have in your backyard! You live in such a beautiful place! I love watching your adventures with sheep, farming and family life. I am in my 1st grade classroom setting up for the new school year which begins on Aug. 17. I have a lot of anxiety wondering what this year will look like. Last year in Utah we were in class with a few online. I'm hoping we will be a little more like a normal but there in a lot of anxiety. Watching you gives me the strength to feel like I can handle whatever comes my way.Thanks for your beautiful smile and wonderful example! Now back to my classroom.

    Sodium bicarbonate is a great help for acidosis. I sprinkle a bit over their feed or it can be direct fed by mixing 2tbsp in a bottle of water.

    My mom used to call lamb zombies "the steeplechase", it's my favourite too, I love watching them in the the fields here, I remember when there was a foot and mouth outbreak in England and we had all our animals in lock down the worst thing in the world is the feeling you get looking at empty fields in spring,

    • @taranoakes4103
      @taranoakes4103 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I remember the outbreak, I grew up next to a farm and my primary school was taking us to a local agricultural college and I didn’t want to go, as I’d been in the fields helping the shepherd and I didn’t want to spread anything between them and they made me go, so I spent the time scrubbing my wellies with disinfectant to prevent cross contamination before leaving for school 😫
