I think it’s so easy to be critical .., I only assume that they are vegan ( fair play) or just animal lovers who don’t understand or choose to ignore where meat comes from .., if I was a sheep I would want to be at a place that cares for its sheep like this …

Paisano's Roost Farm (American Blackbelly Sheep) in Southern New Mexico: Hugs It's never easy when it's their time to walk on. I lost Durazna 17 months ago to a catastrophic prolapse during lambing. More recently, our rescue cat went into liver failure. Plus we lost Drake our mouflon ram in January. You are there when they are born. Your voice is the first one they hear. They learn about respect and kindness through out their lives. Your voice is the last one they hear when they are ready to go.

Hi great segment , Listen you guys have to get over the fact that your common knowledge that is boring to you, is very interesting to us! I didn't know about your diesel is the tractors, and I thought that the cover crop was very interesting! I always thought that it was mostly to stop erosion and maybe to kill the acid from the urine in the straw cake, that you spread out there but the nitrogen and it sounded like the microbes are the main value to it. This is interesting and some of us don't know dirt at all! You guys have a life time on the farm and we get 20 minutes segments of it a day from you. Again great segment!
I remember every animal we've had to put down and it's always gut-wrenching. You'd think one would get used to it, but nope. The solace that can come with this decision is watching the stress leave their body before they go. It's a kind of peace you can see in their eyes. I try to take that as a thank you from them for caring about them enough to not make them suffer. The best thing is not always the easiest. You're a good example for people, Sandi.
You did right by Pearl. Taking care of her the way you did, shows love and compassion towards your animals. Breeding any time of animals also comes with making the hard decision when you have to. Thank you for caring so much. 🐑💗

I like cover crops because “nature is modest”. She will find a way to cover herself (usually with weeds) so we cover her ourselves with beneficial plants.

You are amazing at what you do, the way you do it, and the care you do it with! She was loved and you did what she needed you to do for her, just as you do for every animal in your care. I can't imagine how hard that is on you but think of all the pain and agony you are sparing her from. You take such wonderful care of your sheep. If you knew what caused it you would have prevented it. You know all your sheep by name, frankly most of them look the same to me but I will take your word for it. On the lighter side Lucy is so funny, she said look mom I've casted.

The big sleep is very much a kindness in many circumstances particularly when done humanely. Poor Pearl certainly looked very uncomfortable, all hunched up like that. I’m pregnant so i watch sandi’s vids to calm myself down when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I also have 24 lambs, 56 rams &45 ewes

I can't imagine how hard that is on you but think of all the pain and agony you are sparing her from. You take such wonderful care of your sheep. If you knew what caused it you would have prevented it. You know all your sheep by name, frankly most of them look the same to me but I will take your word for it. On the lighter side Lucy is so funny, she said look mom I've casted.

The big sleep is very much a kindness in many circumstances particularly when done humanely. Poor Pearl certainly looked very uncomfortable, all hunched up like that. Definitely catalogue all your feelings, thoughts in regards to Pearl under the title higher power. Somethings are just not your responsibility to hold on to. Pearl definitely had a great life with you. I love how when you give one sheep a positive affirmation and many others also turn to you and give you the why thank you Aunty look of love. ❤
