I've owned the charts for a while. I absolutely love it and this channel. The fact that there are no sponsorships, biases or any other bs factors (bs, not bcs) is just unheard of. The only other thing I want is another way to support the channel. I completely believe you do the noble thing by not accepting donations even when you could and offer something in return for money. Maybe some day we could see a merch store or more products on etsy? Maybe some signed tools or batteries?

A large company that owns a tool brand served them a letter or some sorts to close down our digital file store to remove our rankings, which they did, said we could appeal then later a higher up decided "Sorry, actually no you can't. Do not contact us again on this matter" and we took all of merch items off the website and closed our account in response.

i modded the hercules brushless impact driver, with a 1/2 inch anvil, its very powerful, and was a good candidate for a mod, i think its more powerful than MCT frankenstein. I have BOTH.😁
Picked up the 850 specifically cause I saw it on ttc. Definitely a beast. I'm a carpenter and it's driven and removed everything I've needed it to. Had a hard time with a 90 adapter and a big timber tech screw but got still the job done. Tiny form factor is a big plus too.

Great job guys! I like the 2 links on the side. I would say that you only need the one performance chart as you guys test a few different batteries in the videos that the tool is being reviewed on.
The comparison chart function is awesome! I still use the lxt topdog 1/2 XWT08Z and seeing it stack up to a gen 2 midtorque and some decent air guns. Whenever it cant get it loose, which still is rarely. It just need some heat or the 1.2 meter long 3/4 ratchet.
Always informative, always interesting and amusing. You guys perform a service for the manufacturers as well as for the end user of the product. Not to mention tips and examples on modding and accessories, and reviews of cheap imports that may (or may not) be worth getting. I've been watching "Dean Doherty" who is a guy working in a tool store in Ireland. He fixes tools on TH-cam and talks about repairability and cost to do that. In your work and ours where tools get pushed hard, the kind of information he provides feels like one of the legs of the tripod.

If you start to run out of tools, would there be any point in testing how performance of tools used in the field for years vs new? I have a few battle-weakened tools I’d be curious on how their numbers stack up against themselves when new.

It's easy to digest, that's for certain, and I'm certain I speak for your entire audience when I say that the effort that it must take to pull together everything does not not unnoticed or unappreciated. Second, I'm fully aware that having data on all of impact wrenches with all the non-kitted batteries might be an insane undertaking, but I'm wondering if you might be doing your ranking chart a disservice by leaving those items off. You typically already go through the effort of testing the impacts (and other devices) with different batteries when you launch a video, and have seen that different batteries can have enormous impact (pun intended) on the performance of the device. It would allow for fully fledged comparison of possible combinations. I'm aware how selfish this request may sound. I figured I'd at least put this up here to see if there's anyone else in your community that feels that this may have some value.

You can always accept pre release and from the manufacturer to test them against store bought and then sell or giveaway those. As long as you disclaim that the one given to you isn't in the final charts i think most will accept it and you save/gain money depending on how you look at it.

And we make that abundantly clear in video, and we don't keep them. Then we buy the real tool when it comes out, which we still all own.

Life hack: If they don't accept donations, buy their product more than you need. It still goes to supporting the channel! I wish they'd let me directly donate so that Etsy doesn't take their cut from the proceeds. But for now, I've decided that since they refuse to set up a donation structure (and I do understand why), they leave me no choice but to buy their chart on Etsy multiple times. There is no way that the information I have utilized from their testing has only been worth $15 USD. They deserve more and I'll be sure they get more from my contributions. The dcf850 is no joke. I modded it with a 3/8 anvil and that thing takes off 90% of the stuff I work on. Amazing tool.

@@Olds_Pwr We basically only borrow or bribe away prototypes from people who got their hands on field testers, after being vetted, not pre-market samples meant to be sent to social media/channels. And we make that abundantly clear in video, and we don't keep them. Then we buy the real tool when it comes out, which we still all own.

I wish they'd let me directly donate so that Etsy doesn't take their cut from the proceeds. But for now, I've decided that since they refuse to set up a donation structure (and I do understand why), they leave me no choice but to buy their chart on Etsy multiple times. There is no way that the information I have utilized from their testing has only been worth $15 USD. They deserve more and I'll be sure they get more from my contributions. Maybe will even gift charts to friends and family on top of my own purchases!
