    I really like how to-the-point your videos are, there's no time wasted and every bit is informative! It holds my tiny attention span 😂 I never knew how to smooth the icing sticking up at the edges before & wow I'm so grateful.

    Take it as a small tip; spraying sugar syrup (boiling sugar and water in the same ratio) can be really good and bring a moist texture to your cake.

      I know and I even have a couple of videos on the channel about making and adding syrup! Icing the outside of cake was the focus of this video, but I’m sure someone else may have been thinking the same thing. Thanks for watching! 💕

    Would you be able to place flowers along the side of the cake going up to the top or do you thing the flowers would fall off? I'm new to using whipped cream as icing.

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question! If you try to place flowers onto the whipped cream, they may not stick. I would highly recommend anchoring the flowers into the cake like I show in this video: th-cam.com/video/hTn5FphR5bw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eviejK1TQ795WtQ5. Let me know if you have any other questions! 💕

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can! Just be very careful because this frosting is so soft. Make sure that your fruit/fruit filling isn’t too watery!

    Hello for a 6 in heart shaped cake how much whipped cream would I need for crumb coating and decorating? Also how much would I make for a 8 in heart cake as well?

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! The amount shown in this video will crumb coat and cover an 8” heart shape: th-cam.com/video/NGaFGJ5MCzU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Egqe3H7jpUmdFK8z. Double it and you’ll be able to cover both a 6” and 8” heart. Thanks for watching! 💕

      This is just heavy whipping cream; nothing particularly special. I have a friend who lives in Toronto. I’ll ask her about equivalents and report back! More soon….

    Which one is easier to work with, buttercream or whipped cream?

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I prefer buttercream! Whipped cream is really soft and requires a delicate hand. I like working with the thickness of buttercream instead.

    • @LysbethMiranda
      @LysbethMiranda 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AsiaCoffee I tend to only work with buttercream as well, I can agree with you on that! I have yet to ice a cake or cupcake with whipped cream, but I can already imagine how delicate of a hand one must have for that! Thank you for your video! Super helpful and informative!! Definitely subscribing!!

    What's the difference between butter cream and whipped cream, all I know is that the butter cream is thicker

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They both have different ingredients. The butter in buttercream is what gives it it’s thickness, which makes it a better choice for intricate piping and other cake designs. Overall, buttercream tends to be sweeter than whipped cream. Thanks for watching! 💕

    Everytime that I make this it just melts off my cake 😥😥

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sorry yo hear that…. A couple tips: Make sure your cake isn’t hot/too warm OR wet before applying the icing AND consider adding a “crumb coat” layer before your final layer of icing. These should help your icing stick to the cake. Thanks for watching!
