Saida aka Sidon is one of the oldest cities in the world.
Home of the ancient Phoenicians.
First time i see Sonnys videos, get hungry, and can actually order delivery for the food i see in the video👀
Thanks for visiting Lebanon my country and i hope u enjoyed this experience ❤ Btw the falafel you had is the Best Falafel in Lebanon 🎉
Wow Lebanon looks like a very clean and welcoming country ! Would love to go there after watching this
I would not say clean 😂 They are really bad at removing trash from streets. Im lebanese.
@@hazonazizou5861🤣✋🏻
@@hazonazizou5861 Lebanon is VERY clean when it comes to inside and around houses and inside businesses BUT anything the government is responsible for is very likely severely neglected.
@@hazonazizou5861how dumb can one be defaming his own country. Get some self respect
the roasting of Egypt never ends 🤣
Lebanon falafel and kunafa is my favorite ❤
the flat bread with cheese is called Manoushe, it also is eaten with zatar ( thyme)
and the round street food bread is called Ka 'ak
That zaatar donut blew my mind, never seen it in Australia despite going to Lebanese bakeries for 30 years.
Its called kaak abou arab, its just amazing specially if ypu get it from the abou arab stores
8:47 Lebanese people, is that plate worth $10? My guess is yes. I remember going to a Lebanese pastry shop in Berlin and I was surprised at how much everything was. My Syrian friend assured me it was the normal price for Berlin and in Syria and Lebanon.
10 is a little too much but still fair! Good baklava needs high quality ingredients and you would be surprised how much nuts are in those things. Especially pistachios and cashews which are already not the cheapest nuts you can find. As an Arab myself I can tell you that baklava and other sweets from good shops are seen as a treat for special occasions and if you receive a baklava tray from guests for example you know and appreciate the value.
@@a.ha.5210 ok, so a little bit too much but not 5 times more like Sonny says?
I am not bad-mouthing Sonny, I just think he doesn't realize that what he ate there was pretty close to ten bucks. Also of he is not naming and linking the places there is little reason for them to flow him some goods.
No It's not worth it ... they over- charged him
When a seafood place just throws some salt on their stir fried seafood, that's when you know it's good. They're confident that the prawns are fresh and sweet enough in themselves!
Love to all Levantine countries. Their people still smiling and generous despite of all wars, troubled economies and pain.
looove lebanese food, we have a big Lebanese community here in South Aus so lots of yummy food and sweets
That country deserves all the tourism. Lebanon is a great country.
The woman at 17:06 was smiling awfully hard at Sonny fitting in.
😂
The "fateh" has several names with minor variations.
There is mailzieh and tisi'ye which have sesame paste mixed in with the yogurt.
The bread in the begining that looks like a bag is "Kaak".
Falafel tastss better when you drink "ayran" yogurt next to it.
One of the best cuisines in the world! ❤
You just can't go wrong with Lebanese food.
thats what i tell all my friends who ask me about lebanese food , just go eat at any lebanese place u will like it
I have a lebanese bakery near my house in Australia. It's no wonder why the lebanese are so healthy and strong!!
If they cook the lebanese pizza there , you must try the 1 with cheese on it ,pepperoni, olives and tomatoes. You won't regret it lol
@@muhumads they have what's just called meat pizza, which is like ground lamb with red spices, little bit of lemon and chilli. Seems to be lahm bi ajeen
@blimolhm2790 I get that also but I tell them to put cheese ontop
