Even I hear that the street food shops are owned by foreigners. I don't go to Myeongdong anymore. Traditional markets are well preserved in Korea. And the foods are much more authentic and way cheaper than Myeongdong. I'd go to one of them like Namdaemoon market.
@@jiminsjams8162 I used to live near Myeongdong (over 10 years ago). It has always been a hot place in history but it started to get packed with foreigners from some points especially Chinese. People say that they see more Chinese and other foreigners than local Koreans in Myeongdong. For that reason, the street foods started to charge them much more money cuz the foreigners usually don't know what the average price for those street foods are. So locals don't buy those foods anymore. They mainly tarket innocent foreigners. Meanwhile, locals go to the traditional markets when they want somt street foods. Wow, thank you for filming this. the video was very interesting as a Korean. Myungdong is a kinda tourist’s street, Korean don't go Myungdong very often except working people. (that's why there are a lot of people always but there's no Korean at all lol) So if you guys want to try a lot of street foods in one place, I recommend Mang-won market (망원시장). Mang-won market is a trendy place for young Koreans, because this place is very traditional and CHEAP. Maybe you couldn't find international or new or unique foods like in Myungdong, but you can try traditional and REAL korean street foods! cheese does not contain lactose, the bacteria and mold that grown in milk broke down the lactose into digestible sugar. and can be safely consumed by almost any one. similar to yugart.
Most Koreans are lactose intolerant, but many aren't familiar with the concept so we just bear with the diarrhea, gas pain, bloating, etc that comes along after consuming dairy products lol.... We were actually forced to drink milk everyday at school when we were young. And yeah, cheese is irrelevant.
Sort of true. When making cheese, you separate the whey and the milk fat/solids. Most of the lactose is thrown out with the whey. But there is still a little lactose in the cheese.

I actually don’t know that you’ll ever see this but your showing westernized foods they make they but the food there in Korea is absolutely amazing people find the back streets where everyone is going!
"I don't know where everybody's from"
"I had to make out with a fish" this made me laugh 😂
2019? Everyone?
2021 now .-.
Been binge-watching No Reservations and Parts Unknown this weekend. Really sad about losing THE Mr. Bourdain. It may take time before all the people whose lives he touched can recover from the loss.
Absolutely. People are hurt, sad, confused and it's ok to be feeling all those things. This is part of grief and many of us, including myself are grieving right now.
Best Ever Food Review Show He’s the only one who was able to make me understand the 1.7M people genocide by the Khmer Rouge in 3yrs, 8 months and 29 days. Such a great storyteller and ambassador of all cultures. I’m also confused but I will take your word that it’s okay to feel that way...
Themyscira One The Layover was really good too, even if Tony didn’t think so.. I’ve been watching him since A Cook’s Tour. It really sucks he’s gone now.. Will be spinning The Stooges’ Fun House in tribute to his memory. His desert island disc.
Themyscira One , Me Bourdain will surely be missed by so many. Occasionally you could hear the sadness in his monologue.
It's such a shock .
Depression is a terrible disease. Prayers to his family and close friends.
I love the way he respects the taste of all the foods he takes in,
"I'm getting kinda full rn"
......
"I'M EXCITED, I'M HUNGRY"
that egg bread is the best experience I had in myeongdong! forget the scallop! show the cute girl cooking it! hehehehe.. you spent 61 USD in myeongdong I spent 64 USD on a single crab xP

Is it just a coincidence that you want to get the scallops' phone number? 😂😂😂 I saw what you did there 😅
i’m so happy you’re from MN bro, love
Myeong-dong is expensive, so street food is expensive. Personally, I recommend Hongdae over Myeongdong. Hongdae is cheaper and there are many delicious places
Wait they sell packs of oreo frosting i want some

Interesting to know that Koreans aren't lactose intolerant.
cheese does not contain lactose, the bacteria and mold that grown in milk broke down the lactose into digestible sugar. and can be safely consumed by almost any one. similar to yugart.
I'm old, I don't have time to deal with the diarrhea and bloating lol.
And not diabetic
Omg them scallops, and Lobster looked amazing!!
Agreed.
When I went to korea, the only street food I saw was that fish thing with sweet red bean paste.
