Such an excellent video. I’ve always wondered about the layouts of buildings while waiting for the train. A sincere thank you for the excellent work!

So very well done! I also enjoy my drone and in addition, worked for 19 years at the Binghamton Psychiatric Center.

Breathtaking. I love how the sky was overcast, it really set the mood. I hope this property can be completely saved. 💖

Wow. I recently shot the Riverview Mental Health Hospital in BC on foot, but this is one I need to come shoot and walk around soon. Thanks!

I happen to be on one of the construction details some years back before the first restoration. The bare bones of this place was crazy to demo/remove. You could feel how heavy the air was. Intense 2 month job for sure!

Awesome work. I wish I lived back east. Here in Arizona it's cactus cactus..occasional ghost town, sand...cactus..etc. etc.

My mother grew up in Yonkers in a cold water flat with eight brothers and sisters from what I remember one brother was born handicapped or impaired and back then people didn't know any better and this is where they sent him. Wingdale.

I'd love to go at least somewhat explore this place but now that's it's getting put back into use it may be difficult. It is nice to see some light finally being shed on old brick buildings like these though

I was here in 2001 till 2002 . Division for youth dfy . Very different feel. But some of the best sleep I have ever had in my life was behind these walls. I was released to the group home from here at 16 .
Before here I was in Tryon in Johnstown. Also another dfy facility. From 13 to 15 yo.

Great video! In addition to drugs, the movement to deinstitutionalize mentally ill people was well under way when this hospital closed in 1994. Some of the techniques they used on patients were medieval and amounted to torture. Many people dumped out onto the streets ended up homeless or in prison. Some were placed in community homes.
