As a child, I lived on the ground (1945-1950) . The opening scene of this video was the Carpenter Shop. My father was the supervisor. I spent many hours playing in that room. We had a lovely house on the grounds. I enjoyed my childhood time there, a pleasant place to grow up as a child. Yes, some of the patients were disturbed, but most were just "housed" there. My first two friend were named Frances (he did the gardening around the house) and Margaret (she helped my mother with house work). I will never forget either of them. I just wish the background music was lighter and happier to correspond with my memories. Lots of the patients worked and helped out at the hospital.

We drove past the hospital on our way to my family’s summer home in Wingdale almost every weekend during the 40s and 50s. My sister and I felt so sorry for the folks we could see on the porches (day rooms?) waving back at us through the bars. I’ll never forget them. It’s one of my strongest childhood memories. I’d like to find a shot of that part of the hospital taken from from the road, as we saw it.

So the poor patients were used as slaves?

  • @capeg2719
    @capeg2719 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

I worked there in the mid eighties. Most of the patients were just gentle folk with severe mental illness; however some were creepy and just plain evil. Those were the criminally insane who were just dumped out into society when the buildings closed.

I really wouldn't know. Try the New York State Department of Heath perhaps?

I worked here from 1984 thru 1986. Downstairs in the basement was a huge kitchen. You had to take the elevator to the basement and walk for about ten minutes to get to the huge opened kitchen to get the cooked meals for your floor. There was the women on the right side and the men on the left side. Once you served both sides you had to lock yourself in and out of the rooms to clean up after them. Alot of weird and unexplained things happened here!!!!!!!!!

Acrid Object How did you enter? Place is trying to make it into a university now which is a big joke. That place is way far gone. I think if you enter from the Appalachian trail it’s good.

It''s in Wingdale, right across from the Wingdale Metro North train station about. one hour and 45 minutes by train from Grand Central. My sister still lives up the road from the site. it was supposed to be leveled and turned into condos but hasn't happened. I wouldn't go in there if I
I were you. As in previous post I mentioned I worked there and the negative energy is oppressive. I quit before it closed as I couldn't take the lack of safety precautions in the locked ward areas and the sadness that permeated the grounds.

Theres an entrance but its really hard to find. I would not go back there. I dont wanna get arrested neither. We took some risks by going there.

Im okay! The morgue is in part 3! Did you went back at rockland? Id say Harlem valley is safer than rockland. Its more quiet as well so id say its better to investigate there.

@bikercrze1 Hmm yeah i already checked your vids of kings park. We went there twice, and the second time we got inspired by your vids. We entered the 42 just before the darkness, went trough the tunnels up to the number 7. We slept somewhere in the number 21-22, unfortunately we were not that well equipped.

Freeze frame 6:54- who's the guy standing at the left on the right of the yellow room? It looks like a shadow person. He's not there later at 11:21.
1:40-1:42 creepy guy says snidely "I gotta go back to work!"
1:46-1:47 creepy man orders "Get on your back!"
6:16-6:18 creepy guy says "Buster was a mu -tant!"
6:35 guy says, "They're Hittin- me"
9:33-9:36 guy says snidely, "Take me out to the ball -game" creepy.
9:36 loudest voice, lady sys "What's said in here"
