- Here are things I only own one of....we are often told and led to believe that more is better and more options lead to a more fulfilling life. But it is very much the opposite.
Less options=less clutter...... mental and visual clutter are taken out of the equation when we simplify the amount in our lives.
As always, thank you for watching and for being here. 🤍

100% agree with you (maybe bc I’m the same 😂) The only difference for me as a single older woman is to have just enough dishes, cups, mugs, silverware to last several days for the dishwasher to fill up. More eco friendly and if anyone comes over I have a spare or two. Exciting to see a young busy family with “just one” or “just enough” and let the excess be in relationship, love, and joy 🤩 Blessings ❤
"Less options = less clutter" so true :) Great video :)
🤍
Im feeling super blessed to have ran into your video. I love videos that teach and also explain the why the person is doing or thinking 💭 in a way. Especially when I’m trying to adopt the same habits. It truly helps. I love your voice and the calmness allows me to stay and listen ❤️ ✝️
I am so happy you are here! 🤍🕊️
Brilliant! I wish everyone had your common sense!
🤍
I wear the same 4 rings, same 2 bracelets, same watch, and same two necklaces a day, and I have about... 3 necklaces I can put on for special occasions. This is a reminder for me to pare down my earrings though! I have 2 eyeshadows and 3 nail varnish colours - but otherwise, no "extras" as I use all 3 colours at once (middle finger one colour, thumb and little finger another, the rest the third). And if I *need* to have the same colour I have 3 options - enough for variety but not too much to choose between =) I use different cleaners but they're all the same brand, and there's still only 4 (cream, glass, all-purpose, mould killer)
That all sounds very intentional!🙂 🤍
Love your ideas! I also agree with you, less is better, less to clean, wash and take care of. Thank you.
Thank you for being here! 🤍
Thanks for such a calm video
🤍
I have 2 pairs of sheets (just in case) and 2 blankets - one for summer one for winter (saves on heating). Otherwise I mostly see the reasoning behind your choices.
Great advice 😊
Your videos are like a breath of fresh air. I am trying to break my shopping addiction. I hate having too much stuff around. However, I realized that I keep buying beauty products because “maybe that lipstick will make me look more beautiful”, but I need to learn to accept myself. Lots of love from Italy 😊
It really is such an easy trap to fall into! 🤍
Wonderful video. Some things I already do, but you actually surprised me with a few great ideas. Thank you. 🥰 These ideas will be helpful for my next move. I look forward to your weekly videos😊
Thank you! 🙏 I am so glad it helped!
Just found your channel and have been loving your videos! So motivating
🤍
Really meaningful video, you are right having only one of these truly makes life easier ❤ I wish the best for you and your family, thank you for sharing this with us
Of course. Thank you! 🤍
I definitely will try to reach this type of thinking because I've noticed that having a lot of products is overwhelming, and I will try to shop less as it wasn't making my life any better.
I just adore you and your content. I would love if you did a skincare and makeup video. 🤞🏻😊 *update - oops, just found your skincare video 🤭
Haha! I'm glad you found it! 🙂
I’m giving myself more credit as a minimalist now, with the “rule of one.”
Enough clothes for one load of laundry, enough dishes for one dishwasher full. One set of sheets and towels, a set for guests. I do have extra flannels for winter, and a fresh washcloth each day. And a short stack of beach towels that are all used on a beach day, and have a lot of other uses (leaks, cover a sick bed, emergency blanket).
Now if my husband didn’t like the convenience of a large TV in every room he halls to be in. 🙄
Absolutely! I agree about the towels! We have a few extra towels for beach/lake/etc as well!
Life is so much easier when we own less💕
New subscriber and binge watching your videos this evening. Love this idea of only one on some of these things, but what advice would you give someone like me that is thinking about the one or two times a year family comes out to stay with us and we need those extra towels, coffee mugs, etc.? It does seem silly to keep them for those very few times, but also we would need them during those....
Thank you for being here🤍 I would keep 1 box in a closet or something with extra towels and mugs, etc that would be needed with company visiting. That way you don't have the extra clutter in your cabinets and in your visual space of stuff you are not using on a daily basis. If it is a regular thing for you to have company, I think it would make complete sense to have those things to make hosting a little easier. :) Hope this helps!
Some things to aspire to here… mugs, blankets and towels… things I associate with cosiness and wellbeing, so they’re harder to let go of, even if the collection could, and probably should, be reduced a little. Oh for fewer choices and an easy life!
I totally get this! We do have extra blankets in our living room. But for the bed, we just keep it simple. :) Having less really makes such a difference. I wish you the best on your journey! 🤎
I do like your style ,i love having one of each yes ! But for each bed i do have 2 sets of sheets ,only because if someone is sick ! Its easy to change straight away on the bed ,! But everything ealse yes one thing yes is less is nuch better . Only sheets 2 set each bed ! Takecare love youe channel ☺️💕
🤍thank you for being here!
Do you have extra mugs, blankets, sheets etc or anything stored away for guests? I could easily pare down what we use but my guests still need things. You have such a calm voice! Love watching!
I don't lots of guests over on a regular basis, but we have enough for the family that we do have come over. I kind of touched on what I would do for storing these things in one of my recent videos about storing and organizing things. Thank you for your support and for being here 🤍
If you haven't already read or heard of it, I recommend the book Paradox of Choice. It affirms your decisions discussed in this video.
Thank you for this recommendation! I will definitely check it out! :)
I just listened to the sample of that book on Audible (also available at my library) sounds really funny and good. Thanks for the book tip.
depends how they use the soap. if they are going on a sponge for example.
We are sharing the same type of body soap, meaning the same kind/brand. Not the same sponge or anything. :) It is a liquid, not a bar soap.
Lol 🥰 That is much easier for a family than all those expensive ones they have for kids.
We had one tv for the longest time and finally replaced it with a projector! You mentioned loving to watch movies and we definitely do too as a family of 6. It’s completely changed movie night because it feels like a miniature movie theatre in your home! Just a suggestion because we ended up loving it so much more. 😊
Oh, I love this idea!!! Thank you!!
I think you shouldnt share the body soap :( but I like the another ideas ,✌🏻😊

I didn’t realise people had multiple phone cases. Seems pretty pointless to have more than one.
You are wise beyond your years🥰
🤍
💯💯💯yes!
