Can't help but think he is a lost cat. He is too well behaved to not have been groomed before. Also looks well cared for. Most strays are scruffy and skittish.
One of my boys, Joe, was a stray that was hit by a car at some point in his life and was adopted at the shelter by a 1st time pet owner. The lady and I switched contact info and 2 days later she texted and said he was too needy and was returning him. I had just adopted 2 boy kittens and told her to bring him over and I’d rehome him. She dropped him off in the adoption box and was so scared he messed all over himself. I bathed him and he didn’t make a single noise the whole time. Afterwards he went and slept on my hip all night and cuddled my 2 boys. He is 100% in our family and is still very quiet. His meows sound like an exhale unless he’s restless and then it’s a weird single pitch. Larry is just happy to have found loving people and will be the absolute best family member.
Adopting an injured cat with special needs as a first time pet owner was a horrible idea. If I were the shelter I would advise against it or even refuse them. I'm glad Joe ended up with a happy home!

I adopted my first cat 3 days ago and he is just like Larry! Truffles came to the shelter as a “stray” but he has the greatest temperament, just lives for pets.

Also the way he looks at her immediately when she makes the sounds with her mouth. He's definitely been someone's baby at some point. They either abandoned him or he ran away. Sad either way.

There is a chance someone was feeding him and therefore socializing him on the street, he might even be from a feral colony and socialized with anyone feeding them. We probably wont ever really know She mentioned being worried he'd spray her face at one point so he's not neutered. Which doesn't necessarily say much, but I suspect if he was owned by anyone they either didn't bother to get him fixed or he got out before they could. If he has a caring family I hope they do find them, otherwise this sweet chill dude and gonna be an awesome addition to someone's family
My former feral had to have an enucleation due to an eye injury. It was NOT cheap, but she healed and adapted really quickly. (That injury was actually the event that changed her status from “Wild porch kitty” to “permanent roommate.” She LOVES the indoors now.)

She literally began calling me "rrrrand-ma", within the first two weeks after I'd gotten her; and she's continued to do so every single day, since then (she's nearly 13 y/o now)- which, of course, only makes her that much more precious to me😽🥰💔❣❣❣
We are lucky to have a veterinary ophthalmologist in our city. She took out my cat’s scratched eye in a 45 minute surgery. It’s pretty much all she does so she’s really great at it. It was under $400. My regular vet sent me. He said it would take him 8 hours and cost $1200 if he did it. She caught a mouse that afternoon. Her name was Emanon, which is no name backwards. I adopted her from the San Francisco SCPA. her eye was scratched when the neighbor’s cat wandered into my house on a warm day and jumped into bed with Ema. She didn’t appreciate the surprise and a spat ensued.
We had Inari, a stray porch kitty when I was 18/19. My mom refused to let my dad and I bring her in (tbf we had like 7 or 8 cats at the time). One day, my mom noticed her limping, and we rushed her to the vet. She'd been bitten by another animal, probably another cat. Mom didn't argue with us bringing her in after that. She did NOT like other cats, and one of our cats wanted to kill her, so she stayed in my room and then came with me when I moved out into my own apartment. The vet estimated her at at least 10 years old, so she was more than happy to spend 99% of her days sleeping on my bed. We took her out on a leash when she was around 13 a lot during the warmer months because her health was failing, and she seemed to like to wander the front garden of our apartment complex. She was a very chill cat, didn't seem bothered by much, even car rides to the vet. She liked people, tolerated kids, just hated other cats with a burning passion 😂 miss her
He's so handsome, and so well behaved. I'm hoping that once he heals up from his surgery, he will have his forever family stalking the adoption page, watching for him!

You should adopt Larry ,Vanessa he would be a perfect addition to the pack. Plus you could make a third channel called the pack Where all is shown is the interaction of your furbabies. I know every body will love it.

He is a Siberian cat, a very sweet and affectionate breed of human companions, mine is identical to Lucky Larry, and seeing him without an eye broke my heart.. PLEASE adopt him, there will not be a single day in which you will regret having him next to you I guarantee it. For me he has become a son, or at least a fluffy meatball that I like to call son. What a sweet, handsome floof Larry is! One of the cats from my childhood was hit by a car; her tail had to be amputated and she lost some mobility in her back legs, but she went on to live 17 years. I wish Larry a similarly long and happy life.
I love cats also because of how resilient they are. Even when they're in pain, they always try to bring their best out, even if it takes a lot of struggles. Hopefully, someone adopts this beautiful kitty.

When, some day, my now 6 year old cat, isnt here anymore (hopefuly in many years from now), my next cat will be an elderly cat from a shelter. Ive had 3 from kittens now, and feel ready to be there for elderly calm cats from now on - knowing I can give them as much love and peace as they want.
what a good boy! not scared at all despite having a traumatic experience 🥺 i think with the rinse he only panicked because of the sound. also for being a stray he's in very good condition! even his fur was almost perfect, which i would've expected to have been matted all over considering you live in canada (unless you're having a no snow period). the person who adopts him will be one of the luckiest people ever ❤

My mom's cat, who happens to be Lucky's twin, loved bathing. My brother had an amputated leg, so baths were easier. He'd jump into the tub the second my brother got settled in the tub. Often, my brother would scrub him to keep him clean. He also liked drinking sweet tea and taking sips of Heineken beer, when it was in a glass.
Larry was my dad’s name, so fully support your name choice! I’ve been thinking about him a lot this past week, so hearing his name throughout the video made my day and made me smile ❤😊❤

He’s so chill; a lovely trait for a large kitty like himself. Also, he’s so quiet too. I expected to hear him singing the song of his people as soon as he was put in the tub, but he was curious, a bit concerned but quiet nonetheless.
He has/had a family, a home. He is so calm and seems to be very familiar with grooming. He really is such a love and a handsome guy. He reminds me of my kitty Handsome Rob with that thick coat. Hope he finds a loving home and does well with his surgery. ♥️🙏🏼😽

I agree. He is way to calm and relaxed to not have had a home. This cat have been handeled alot. If not lost then he was abandoned not to long ago.

When, some day, my now 6 year old cat, isnt here anymore (hopefuly in many years from now), my next cat will be an elderly cat from a shelter. Ive had 3 from kittens now, and feel ready to be there for elderly calm cats from now on - knowing I can give them as much love and peace as they want.

what a good boy! not scared at all despite having a traumatic experience 🥺 i think with the rinse he only panicked because of the sound. also for being a stray he's in very good condition! even his fur was almost perfect, which i would've expected to have been matted all over considering you live in canada (unless you're having a no snow period). the person who adopts him will be one of the luckiest people ever ❤

My mom's cat, who happens to be Lucky's twin, loved bathing. My brother had an amputated leg, so baths were easier. He'd jump into the tub the second my brother got settled in the tub. Often, my brother would scrub him to keep him clean. He also liked drinking sweet tea and taking sips of Heineken beer, when it was in a glass.

This is standard protocol that all shelters do before a pet is put up or adoption. Live a long, happy and healthy life sweet boy.

He’s so chill; a lovely trait for a large kitty like himself. Also, he’s so quiet too. I expected to hear him singing the song of his people as soon as he was put in the tub, but he was curious, a bit concerned but quiet nonetheless.
