I am using the 12 mini. Battery life is ok for me because I came from a first gen SE and the battery life is significantly better than my old phone. I love how comfortable it is to carry compared to newer large phones.
Had a 12 mini up for 3 years until just a few weeks ago when I traded it in for a 15. Absolutely loved the phone and miss the more compact size, but I found the battery life to be an issue and the difference between it and my new 15 is night and day. Granted we'll have to see how my 15 is after 3 years! Wished they did mini version every other release for us people with smaller hands.
I had the XR then upgraded to 12 Mini back in 2020 and I got the 13 last year. - The battery life on the 12 mini and standard 13 sucked imo, but the performane of even the iPhone 11 is still pretty good right now and I'll say if you have the 11,12 or 13, Don't bother upgrading unless you get an iPhone 14 Pro or any newer Pro model as there's hardly any difference otherwise tbh mate
@@RideOnTimePH yooo! i too came from a first gen se and now use the 12 mini, my batter health is 84 currently so its not terrible but i do make sure to keep my charger on me lol
I've had my 12 mini since day one! I would upgrade to the 13 mini for a better battery and more software updates but I don't have any plans to go to a larger device. My battery health is 75% and gets me maybe a day of use. I'm not a heavy user by any means though so it's not the end of the world. For me it's really about the flagship experience in a very small package.
@@hemansingrutty1071 Very nice experience as a wifibox. before this my nicest phone was a Xiaomi Poco X3 I got for around 200 in 2020, unfortunately I dropped that into my stand mixer while recording it. My biggest gripes are the lack of controls in the camera app like manual shutter speed, but I won't lie, video on this is unmatched from any android I've used. Battery is expectedly small but it rarely leaves my house, and I find the form factor even for my bassist hands comfortable, I missed onehanded phone use.

Thank you for your review I just had to give my work phone iPhone XS to my brother because he needed a temporary phone urgently so was shopping around on Amazon and I just don’t feel comfortable spending more than $300 for a refurbished phone bc u never know really until u get the phone if it was worth the money but I was able to find a refurbished 12 mini in premium condition for under $300 and was searching for videos to see if it was a good choice and your video helped a lot in solidifying that my decision was good :) this will be my first mini excited hadn’t had a phone this small since my beloved 5s ^_^
9:50 "You are sacrificing an Immersive Display". Dude. It's a smartphone, not a cinema. A smartphone will never be immersive. That is why i like smartphones SMALL. My 12m battery is toast. I hope I can find an original Apple battery replacement from the factory. The mini is a gem stone. Change the name and upgrade it to a pro model. Lots of small or niche followers would gladly pay for it. 💵
Only drawback(providing you can get a decent deal) is the battery. I bought one for 250€ few weeks ago and even though the battery was replaced just a month prior it can just about get me through the day, for some reason the 13 Minis(for decent price/battery health) seem to be really hard to find right now so opted for the 12 mini. 12 Mini still beats Samsungs S22 in terms of battery life, so it could be worse.
I’ve been looking trying to find a decent price & model of the 13 mini myself, like you I haven’t been able to find anything of value for the right price. I was thinking about getting a 12 mini just to have whenever I leave the house for short trips.

Literally no reason to pick the SE over the mini, unless your budget doesn’t permit it, or you prefer the classic home button design. Both are perfectly valid reasons.
