Just switched from the 11 pro max to the 12 mini, I don’t regret it one bit. We’ve become so accustomed to large phones. The 12 mini is refreshing. If you are thinking about switching, do it.

I’ve got the 11 pro because I wanted a smaller phone, when this came out I was so tempted to get it but this phone has honestly had the best battery life of any phone I’ve owned. It’s tough to give that up, even if it’s slowly getting worse as time goes on.
@@TacoCrisma so camera quality was definitely a factor in the trade off. You don’t get optical zoom, however personally for someone who takes occasional pictures (no photographer) I haven’t noticed a significant difference. I do have a Sony A6400 so if I ever need a picture that my iPhone mini can’t get I can use that. HOWEVER I have yet to find myself in the situation where I just need a better picture. The 12 mini does just fine and I doubt you’ll notice a compromise in quality. Hope this helped!
@@EverydayManDan awesome, thanks for the reply! As time goes on I find I am taking less pictures with my phone in general - so many are just stored from phone to phone that I forget they even exist. I think if anything I just look for a nice contrast-y shot to capture the awe of whatever I’m looking at, then move on. I’ve honestly been considering starting to photograph with film again since I much prefer that look and it’s a physical media that sort of forces you to pay attention to it, unlike the 10,000 pictures in my gallery. I completely agree with you. People are complaining that the 12 mini gives only 7 hours of screen time. Wow, people are unaware that they are spending one third of their lives or more in front of a small screen.
This is the biggest issue with tech in general today, everyone is consuming too much media and complaining about extremely 1st world BS that doesn’t matter. Most people can’t go 5 minutes without checking their social media accounts. It’s pathetic.
Love my 12 mini, I am a student and that one handed use really helps me get some tasks done, and the battery for an average usage isn’t even that bad! It can get you through a full day most times which is enough for me. It’s extremely durable ive dropped it multiple times with no scratches. I’m so glad I chose this phone instead of an s20.
Hopefully the positivity grows exponentially that Apple would continue its series in future iphones. I really really want the mini series to stay. I"ll definitely get the mini ones.

I’m not sure if the 12 mini is good for me because my main thing is emails and texting I’m not sure how that might be on a smaller screen can you offer any advice? I was thinking the 12 regular but with a standard case instead of battery but I’m used to the battery case because I need the extra juice
I think that the idea of a mini phone is great for some people. It's kind of incredible what they were able to put inside this device. I haven't used iOS now for a few years but I miss the easy one handed use of some of the older iPhone models. The iPhone 5 was one of their best devices ever.
I’m buying that 13 mini. I was on the fence a little but watching this video convinced me. The compromises are small and for my own use cases, it’s perfect.
i dont see a reason in buying the 13 mini, pretty much the same specs, pretty much the same camera, way more expensive, a little thicker than the 12. if you really want an amazing small phone go with the 12 mini! 🙏
Love this video man . It’s simple and minimal . After 8 years with android I decided to try the iPhone 12 . Well , It’s been 7 months and I like it very much . The fluid animations are really good . I’ve had none issues with iOS ( for now ) . Keep up the good work !
I went from using a 2016 SE that I was in love with, to using this one a week ago... Best decision ever. I hate the feel of huge phones. If I want a big screen I'll use my ipad or laptop. To use everyday I'd rather have a phone that feels like a phone. The pictures are incredible and I feel right at home with the size and grip because yes, I have small hands. Some part of me even wishes it was even smaller !!
I bought the iPhone 12 mini yesterday. For this I used the iPhone 11 pro. I also really like the flat sides and the fact that it's so small and doesn't weigh that much. I am totally in love with it and hope Apple keeps the mini line for future iPhones

I currently use an iPhone 12. My initial though was to buy the iPhone 12 mini but the iPhone 12 released earlier and I went with the 12. Every time I go to an apple authorised store for some repairs, I always like to use the iPhone 12 mini for sometime in the store. It’s such a nice feeling to use such a compact phone. After they released the green colour for the 13 I HAD to get it. Small green phone with flat edges is basically my ideal device. I absolutely love the 13 mini and I plan to keep it as long as I possibly can.

I love it, I’m not a power user but use it for around 6 hours a day and it’s still got around 20% left at the end of the day. I’d a great phone still and I’ve got no interest in changing it for a long time. I’ll probably end up changing the battery if it gets to 80% rather than upgrade to a larger phone
Well, it really depends on people. My classmates/friends never said that to me. In fact, when I showed them my blue 12 mini, they were impressed. Moreover, even my friends who is an 11 owner loved my phone. It might be because my friends don’t have that good of an iPhone (most of them still using 6s and 7). But nevertheless, people said they loved my phone tho…
i am so much satisfied with iphone 12 mini even after 6 months.. this is my first iphone and from it’s size perspective ,handiness and performance i am yet in love with my iphone.. I have never had this kind of love for any of the flagship android phone majorly after one month of using any flagship, it starts feelling old.. but iphone12 series is so good to hold in hand without a case, you need to hold it to experience it and haptics on iphone feels as if iphone in your hand has a soul… hopefully i am never moving back to android..

I’ve had my Iphone 12 Mini for a year now, it took about a week to get used to, and now lifting up my old phone (XR) which isn’t even close to the biggest phones right now is crazy! It feels like i’m holding a bloody tablet. So glad i switched to the 12 Mini, my pocket is less heavy, my hands don’t hurt from holding a cinema screen phone, it’s just awesome. Battery makes me wanna return it like 3 times a month though
@@angelnunley9398 It really depends on your use, are you planning to game, media consumption etc on it? - If you are just using it for everyday consumption (Quick Emails, Messages, Phone Calls on the go etc) Then yes its the ideal phone. However if you're planning to watch youtube, Netflix or even play loads of games its certainly not the phone for you. You'll recognise how small it actually is in comparison to people near you, who may have Pro Max's or new-end Samsung's etc.
I definitely get that’s a small phone thing like he said in the video. I had a family member laugh when they saw it lol. They were like yo you have that mini phone. What in the world. That thing is tiny. Then they picked it up and moved around on it and said this does feel pretty cool.
My first iPhone was an 5s back in 2016 off eBay. About a year and a half later I got the original SE and have had every SE since then as well as the iPhone 13 mini. Since I upgraded to the s23 ultra I'm actually considering getting a 12 mini as a backup phone even now in 2023. The main reason being you can pick one up for around $300 or slightly more. Also nice to have a smaller one handed lightweight phone when you are getting out. I think Apple made a huge mistake by discontinuing the mini lineup as there's quite a few people that actually want a smaller phone.
I just got this phone this weekend in red:) It's wonderful so far. I had a 6s for five years and never wanted to upgrade because I hate giant phones. This phone is slightly smaller than the 6s but has a bigger screen, so it was a no brainer for me lol.
I have owned the 12 Mini Blue since January and my experience with the phone is just fine in terms of specs and form factor. Coming from a regular-sized Android phone, I don't feel like either an upgrade or vice versa, it's just 'ok' with no regrets. But tbh everytime I see the Mini hands-on, it's always look like it's the ultimate tech power of what a mobile phone could achieve and its small form factor is what makes it very intriguing and tempting. Though I agree that the Mini's price is what had made the phone sales very low compared to the rest of the Apple's 12 Series line-up, the phone itself is just fine.

I think as far as mobile phones are concerns 6” is the sweet spot for me. iPhone 12 is my favourite in 12 series. And that feeling for flat edge iPhone is same here.
Great video Zach! I always love your vid style. The mini is my daily driver and has been since release and I absolutely adore it!!! There's nothing it can't do... When it has battery left lol. Honestly unless I'm gaming or having a photo heavy day the mini lasts me well into the night though. I love it!
Even as an android user, I have to say the 12 mini is one of the best phones I've seen, right next to the s10e. I really wanted it but ios isn't my thing. Hopefully small phones make a comback soon.

gave up the 12 pro for the 12 mini and i'm so glad I did. I always felt like I had to use my phone since it's big and pricey, but it literally just sat there, and if I do need a semi bigger phone I still have my xs
@@TripleAceAAA i didn’t like the weight and the size. Well the size was ok but I didn’t dare doing anything with it outside. Because it’s such a jewel. Don’t get me wrong the pro models are amazing and the best of course, but after being mugged in Paris 3 times, you get things with practicality in mind. The mini isn’t attracting attention, and I really use it as a phone. Not a luxury object. At home I have iPad and Mac book so no need to be on the phone at home. Except for texts and phone calls. 😁😁 I really enjoy the mini. I also like the 12 not pro cause it’s still light and bigger screen like the pro. Pro Mac is a no as it’s way too big and heavy.
I didn’t know If I really should get the Mini since I already was used to bigger phones. But the minute I unboxed it I had that feeling that the size was just right. Sure, it’s small but the screen isn’t. Also the weight is so refreshing and it’s my first OLED iPhone

The problem is it's hard to fit all those features in the tiny form-factor without sacrificing too much on battery. Maybe they should consider making it a little bit thicker. People would get used to it pretty quick
Hey Zachary! Love your videos. I actually have an iPhone 12 mini as well. So within a month of getting the phone I noticed a memory leak happening that would lead to system locks and the camera app crashing a lot. But if I restarted the phone it was okay for a couple of days. Someone online had the theory that there is a memory leak around setting the wallpaper a lot...which I do. After not resetting my wallpaper several times a day, I haven't experienced one massive slowdown or system apps crashing.
Before considering the mini for being pocket friendly, cute or refreshing and are coming from a iPhone 6 and bigger then do reconsider I bought the mini with the hope of it being pocket friendly, compact and cute but being used to a bigger phone, I was forced to sell it less than a month later, I am now a happy iPhone 12 user.
Switched from galaxy s10 to this mini just because i love smaller phones and dont regret the move at all. Im in love with this phone and i use caseless to appreciate the design more.
I’ve been holding on to my iPhone 6S because all the newer phones were larger which I didn’t like. After this review I’m treating myself and upgrading to the 12 mini.
I'm typing from it right now and it's my 2nd favorite phone ever behind my Google Pixel 3. Best iPhone ever made. The 2nd best iPhone is the original SE.
@@mattgriffiths7927 just do it, I went from a pixel 3 to an 11 pro and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The pixel 3 was a dumpster fire of a phone. Amazing when it launched and died after the android 10 update. They killed the camera from original release, and the battery life absolutely nosedived. Iphones just work, they’re simple - no urge to throw your phone against the wall. I was diehard android since the OG droid, bought an iPhone 5 on a whim and loved it, went back to android with an HTC M8 (another beloved phone) up until I got the 11 pro. Honestly Apple just does quality of life better than android. I got sick of fighting with my phone to get things to work the way they should.
I'm a big fan of smaller phones that can be used with one hand properly. 5.2-5.4-inch bezel-less or 4.5-4.7 inch with bezels(older phones) is the ideal size for a screen and phone.

However if you're planning to watch youtube, Netflix or even play loads of games its certainly not the phone for you. You'll recognise how small it actually is in comparison to people near you, who may have Pro Max's or new-end Samsung's etc.
I don’t mind either way. Personally I really loved the aluminum sides on the plus models, but the sides on the 12 models looks awesome!

I definitely get that’s a small phone thing like he said in the video. I had a family member laugh when they saw it lol. They were like yo you have that mini phone. What in the world. That thing is tiny. Then they picked it up and moved around on it and said this does feel pretty cool.
My first iPhone was an 5s back in 2016 off eBay. About a year and a half later I got the original SE and have had every SE since then as well as the iPhone 13 mini. Since I upgraded to the s23 ultra I'm actually considering getting a 12 mini as a backup phone even now in 2023. The main reason being you can pick one up for around $300 or slightly more. Also nice to have a smaller one handed lightweight phone when you are getting out. I think Apple made a huge mistake by discontinuing the mini lineup as there's quite a few people that actually want a smaller phone.
I just got this phone this weekend in red:) It's wonderful so far. I had a 6s for five years and never wanted to upgrade because I hate giant phones. This phone is slightly smaller than the 6s but has a bigger screen, so it was a no brainer for me lol.
I have owned the 12 Mini Blue since January and my experience with the phone is just fine in terms of specs and form factor. Coming from a regular-sized Android phone, I don't feel like either an upgrade or vice versa, it's just 'ok' with no regrets. But tbh everytime I see the Mini hands-on, it's always look like it's the ultimate tech power of what a mobile phone could achieve and its small form factor is what makes it very intriguing and tempting. Though I agree that the Mini's price is what had made the phone sales very low compared to the rest of the Apple's 12 Series line-up, the phone itself is just fine.

I think as far as mobile phones are concerns 6” is the sweet spot for me. iPhone 12 is my favourite in 12 series. And that feeling for flat edge iPhone is same here.

Great video Zach! I always love your vid style. The mini is my daily driver and has been since release and I absolutely adore it!!! There's nothing it can't do... When it has battery left lol. Honestly unless I'm gaming or having a photo heavy day the mini lasts me well into the night though. I love it!
Even as an android user, I have to say the 12 mini is one of the best phones I've seen, right next to the s10e. I really wanted it but ios isn't my thing. Hopefully small phones make a comback soon.

@@TripleAceAAA i didn’t like the weight and the size. Well the size was ok but I didn’t dare doing anything with it outside. Because it’s such a jewel. Don’t get me wrong the pro models are amazing and the best of course, but after being mugged in Paris 3 times, you get things with practicality in mind. The mini isn’t attracting attention, and I really use it as a phone. Not a luxury object. At home I have iPad and Mac book so no need to be on the phone at home. Except for texts and phone calls. 😁😁 I really enjoy the mini.
I also like the 12 not pro cause it’s still light and bigger screen like the pro. Pro Mac is a no as it’s way too big and heavy.

I didn’t know If I really should get the Mini since I already was used to bigger phones. But the minute I unboxed it I had that feeling that the size was just right. Sure, it’s small but the screen isn’t. Also the weight is so refreshing and it’s my first OLED iPhone

The problem is it's hard to fit all those features in the tiny form-factor without sacrificing too much on battery. Maybe they should consider making it a little bit thicker. People would get used to it pretty quick

Hey Zachary! Love your videos. I actually have an iPhone 12 mini as well. So within a month of getting the phone I noticed a memory leak happening that would lead to system locks and the camera app crashing a lot. But if I restarted the phone it was okay for a couple of days. Someone online had the theory that there is a memory leak around setting the wallpaper a lot...which I do. After not resetting my wallpaper several times a day, I haven't experienced one massive slowdown or system apps crashing.

Before considering the mini for being pocket friendly, cute or refreshing and are coming from a iPhone 6 and bigger then do reconsider I bought the mini with the hope of it being pocket friendly, compact and cute but being used to a bigger phone, I was forced to sell it less than a month later, I am now a happy iPhone 12 user.

@@mattgriffiths7927 just do it, I went from a pixel 3 to an 11 pro and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The pixel 3 was a dumpster fire of a phone. Amazing when it launched and died after the android 10 update. They killed the camera from original release, and the battery life absolutely nosedived. Iphones just work, they’re simple - no urge to throw your phone against the wall. I was diehard android since the OG droid, bought an iPhone 5 on a whim and loved it, went back to android with an HTC M8 (another beloved phone) up until I got the 11 pro. Honestly Apple just does quality of life better than android. I got sick of fighting with my phone to get things to work the way they should.

I'm a big fan of smaller phones that can be used with one hand properly. 5.2-5.4-inch bezel-less or 4.5-4.7 inch with bezels(older phones) is the ideal size for a screen and phone.
